@@BDL3035 in rise atleast it has infinite parries which are fairly easy to land once you have Quick Sheathe 3. It's silkbinds moves also have huge hit boxes. It dishes out alot of damage. It doesn't require as much complimentary/Quality of life skills to play comfortably like the other weapons either. It's basically the easiest and safest weapon to use. It's playstyle is also very non committal but it does very solid damage despite that.
He may not quite be Iceborne levels of crack-addled, but I'm very happy to see they've removed like 90% of his openings. Now he's actually a decent challenge, yet still appropriate for the point you fight him. And as someone who never fought Iceborne Furious Rajang, Rise's incarnation of the angriest of boys actually terrifies me.
Honestly, I think IB Furious is an easier hunt than IB Rajang. It uses more lightning moves, with leaves it with a lot more openings, and the hitboxes on those are super-precise so there are some moves that you can basically walk through after seeing it a couple times. I haven't made it to Sunbreak monkes, but they can't be easier than Rise Rajang.

I never quest without Dango booster, helps in speeding up the hunt and makes the visceral satisfaction of dealing 1000+ damage in one rage slash more accessible. That spiribird Dango definitely seems like a good buff though.

Sunbreak is definitely easier than iceborne by a long shot, and maybe just a smidge too easy, but frankly I'm having more fun, so I'll take it. Maybe I'm just a casual but I wasn't really enjoying worrying about being one shot and never having the time to actually pull off a move

Yeah he’s slower than Iceborn, but I had an easier time with Iceborn Rajang than with rise master rank. I enjoyed fighting Furious Rajang than his normal counterpart
I really like the iceborne rajang fights despite them being objectively not great/completely against traditional battle design philosophy. You barely get amy chances to counter or hit him so I found it fun to have to play really careful and poke at him when you get the smallest possible opening. Plus I found it hilarious that he had counters to clutch claws and knockdowns, made him feel unstoppable. I can see how people would get annoyed with it but it really made his fight feel unique and like you were constantly on the brink of death fighting a lightning gorilla on crack.
Rajang did get the upgrade need not to be a complete joke now Even with Duel Blade I'm Muti Hunt I Can't Get to his tail nearly as much (even with Wirebugs) so Sunbreak did Fix Rajang Weakest Weakness he more like the Rajang in oldder game and while I prefer the harder fight in iceborne and I Can Say he better then the GU Rajang At Best Now Furious In the Other Hand Thats the Best Furious Rajang has Been Yet they mange to make A Really Amazing Fight in Iceborne And Make it even better in Sunbreak Truly The Best That The Rajang Variant has ever been in my Opinion!
A lot of the really powerful moves are counter-based with the iai spirit slash and especially the counter sheath requiring the player to let her rip right as they get hit, with counter sheath (I believe) being frame perfect.
You can improve your skill as you go, I enjoy fighting both Rajang and Furious with the hammer. If I'm not able to fully dodge an attack, I usually use water strike to parry his single hit moves, and the wirebugs make the hammer feel so good to followup after most of his attacks
One method I found that worked well when it comes to positioning is dodging into Rajang with some of his attacks, such as the slam attacks because he usually moves forward to attack, and it's damage hotbox being centered on the arms. This, combined with Rajang being a rather small monster for how late in the game you fight them means that by rolling inward, you can position yourself right behind them where the tail is, allowing you to get a hit or two in on the tail, even knocking them out of the enraged state of you do enough damage (though enrages pretty frequently so savor the softer arms while you can).
LS has been getting increasingly silly ever since Iceborn. Maybe it's just because I don't want people to have fun, but if it were up to me, LS simply wouldn't get any counters that don't use 2 wirebugs.

Rajang is legitimately easy for me just because of the amount of times I’ve fought him throughout the franchise. I think he might be my most fought monster overall.
I fight him to increase my rank or to practice with a new weapon since he is a tough fight that requires you to master positioning and use of your tools.
MR Rajang is still a bit meh. Furious is much better but he topples too easily; that said he's about the same as his non-tempered Iceborne counterpart I feel. Hoping he gets some sort of event version.
Welp, I'm sorely disappointed. Rajang didn't get any better. All that happened was his damage was increased. Guess master rank wasn't any better there. Let's hope Furious Rajang delivers what his predecessor could not.
