    I really appreciate your song and the holiness standard you present! I used to be trinitarian many years ago. I never knew what real communion with God was until I saw the revelation of the Oneness of God and that our God is the Lord Jesus Christ, not a second person but the Person of God. I would never go back! You can't imagine how much more full it is to understand Who God is. God bless you richly!

    The day is coming when all who exalt as Him as both Lord and Savior will be united in the Grace and Truth of the Son of God! The enemies of God will ultimately fail and fall, as the prayer of Jesus to the Father that, "they may be one, even as we are one," is answered in this present generation. The global Church triumphant shall arise to fulfill it's ultimate destiny as the eternal Bride of Christ...how excellent are the riches of His Grace!

    It doesn't matter if you are Apostolic, UPC, Baptist....if you serve the One God that they are singing in this video, you should make this your anthem. I'm amazed that this was written and produced in 1996....have you ever in your life heard a song that is more fitting for THIS TIME that we're living in? I think everyone who's been washed in the blood of the Lamb should learn every word of this song and so sing it on the steps of the White House until our president gives His heart to Jesus.

    I think that is one of the warmest complements I've seen on TH-cam. :) While I hold dearly to the Oneness doctrine, I don't claim to have all the answers about God. He is God after all! The important thing is that we all strive to be more like Him every hour of every day. :)

    We may abhor the Oneness view, but it can't be denied that, starting with the Dottie Rambo era, their writers (and singers) are a floodgate of rich, anointed music.
    Should you ever visit one of their churches, you'll find UPC's/Apolostic/JesusOnly/Oneness people to be the warmest, sweetest natured people on earth.

    Amen! Jesus said Go ye forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name. The Apostles baptized all in the name of Jesus Christ. That is how they enacted Matthew 28:19.

    You cannot start with baptism and move to who God is. You must establish God first, and only then will baptism make sense.

    First, yes the thief on the cross received salvation; he died under the Law. Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice, had fulfilled the Law by shedding his blood. Therefore, the thief received atonement for his sins, which was necessary for salvation under the Old Covenant. Jesus's blood reached back for those saints that had already passed as well. As for the attire question, have you ever seen Orthodox Jews? They dress HOLY, therefore Jesus would've blended in and been hard to single out.

  • @93txcountryboy
    @93txcountryboy 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    As a continuation of your comment, repentance, Jesus name baptism, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost are necessary, as mentioned in Acts 2:38. The New Covenant wasn't in place until Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. This is when Acts 2:38 salvation started taking effect. So, if the thief had lived beyond the resurrection of Christ, he would've needed repentance, baptism, and the Holy Ghost. But he didn't; he died before the resurrection, and therefore, under the Old Covenant.

    Yes, I agree with all of that because it is Scripture. But you have to go back to the context of that time period to understand the Scriptures fully. To be baptized in Jesus' name does not mean the same thing as to be baptized in the word Jesus, which happens to be a name. Is there more than one person in history named Jesus? To be baptized in Jesus name means to be baptized in regard to Jesus' own death and resurrection and made possible by the authority of Jesus himself, being God.

    Look at a guy who is apostolic, you usually can't tell he's apostolic by his dress code. And Judas didn't kiss him solely to point him out, he was very well known. He pointed him not because Judas had agreed to be the former accuser in case a trial was called, and the signal he chose was one that the other disciples would not be suspicious of. There, answered both your questions that you said no one can seem to answer.

    Did the thief on the cross receive salvation? He didn't speak in younger nor was he baptized. Just a question that no one can seem to answer. Also if holiness was in the attire that we wear why did Judas have to kiss Jesus on

    To comment to Phil Culbertson below about the thief on the cross. In order to baptize in the authority of Jesus name or speak in tongues, Christ had to die first. It says in scripture the Holy Ghost was not yet given because Christ was not yet glorified. Tired of trinitarians trying to justify their teaching on the premise of what to place at calvary before Christ died.

      Dragon Figurines Well, I'm tired of stinking Apostolic Oneness Pentecostals acting like they know it all. You guys are the most arrogant people I have ever met. You look down on anybody and everybody, Remember, "PRIDE cometh before a fall." God does NOT like even a proud look, the Bible says. But, why would YOU care what that Bible actually says?!!? You just want to argue YOUR talking points (the ones you've been taught and programmed to believe, through indoctrination, mass hypnosis, etc., ... ). Hey, if the UPC says it, YOU believe it, ... no matter what!!! You basically worship the man (Pastor), and the man-made organization (UPC). Try Jesus out for once!!! And, no, I'm NOT talking about the UPC's version of a hateful Jesus. I'm talking about the REAL Jesus (you know, the One in the Bible?!!?). The One Who said that He "is NOT a respecter of persons." In other words, He does not place one group of people over another. He has no favorites!!! My God, the God of the Bible, says love was His greatest commandment, NOT hate. You guys are so full of pride and arrogance, it's not even funny. You're always trying to prove that you're right, and that everybody else is wrong. And, that you guys are the only ones that are going to go to heaven, and everybody else is on their way to hell. Newsflash!!! I think you're going to have a very rude awakening and when and if you DO make it to heaven. God does not approve of the attitudes that most of you guys have. Like I said, God is about love, not hate. God does not like a proud look. He does not want people to have an "us versus them" mentality. We're all supposed to be in this thing together. People like you make me and a LOT of others want to run AWAY from the Church, NOT to it. Just thought you should now ... SMH 🤦‍♂️😡😔

    For the Roman soldiers to know who he was? He was Holiness and yet he looked like everyone else. Why did they have to ask Peter if he was a follower 3 times. His attire should have showed he was different.. Hmmmm

    In Matthew 28 19, the Son included himself with the Father and the Holy Spirit, so the Son included or defined himself as God. Since the Son included himself as God and oneness does not believe the Son, both can be true. I would choose the Son words over a theology.

    I was there that day. I have since realized Jesus IS the only God. Not yahweh. Jesus came and died for us. Yahweh is a lie from the infitration of the church. The song would be perfect other than that one line. Jesus is, and always will be God.

    You misunderstand the phrase "in the name of". It means "in the authority of" The Godhead does not have divided authority. The phrase "the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" indicates that each person of the Trinity is involved in salvation. Notice the "and of the" precedes each person. It does not say "the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit". Read the epistles. Many of them are peppered with F/S/HS phraseology. There was a reason for it.

    It is so sad people dont study church history and just believe what they have been told. The thief on the cross was before the Holy Ghost had been given. Jesus told us if we don't believe he is God we will die in our sins. Peter had the keys to the kingdom so how can anyone say he was wrong. Jesus opened the disciples understanding on all things concerning himself. It takes a revelation from God to see the Godhead. If we look at the scriptures in the flesh we can never see the one God.

  • @ilililhy1
    @ilililhy1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    God,Jesus and the Holy Ghost are one in the same spirit. Jesus sets on the right hand of GOD. God so loved the world that He sent His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have life everlasting. The Holy Ghost is the 3rd person of the God Head. this is not hard to understand.

  • @zapthycat
    @zapthycat 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @TheAndaluzusa Throughout history, mankind has been permiated by the idea that there were many, many Gods. The belief that God is several 'persons' is just a different take on this. You say you believe that God is one, but by then dividing him into 'persons', you lose the power of God being a single entity. I believe in the father, the son, the holy ghost... but these 3 are 1 person, just as you are a body, a soul, a spirit... but you are one person.

  • @MrILIKEJESUS
    @MrILIKEJESUS 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just a food for thought, Jesus tell us to baptize in the name of the father son and holy ghost. Notice the name, its kinda singular, show that all those titles have one name, and that's Jesus. And you kinda just proved your self wrong, Jesus is call Emanuel "God with us" and that exactly what happened, and that why He is called that, Because surely God is With us.

    I believe in the Oneness of the Trinity. One God, but 3 Manifestations/persons! Deut 6:4, Col. 2:9, I Tim. 3:16.................... Like Water has 3 States, Liquid, Ice, and Vapor. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • @tmwtpbrent14

    Can I pull a pentecostal trick on you? here goes.... Is that how Jesus said to baptize?

  • @BVBsoldierJosh
    @BVBsoldierJosh 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did Joshua, or Abraham go to Heaven when they died? Salvation could not be obtained until Jesus had died, been buried, then resurrected. Paradise, was Abraham's bosom, where most people think is where saints of the OT went to await the promised Messiah. You could look at it like that, or you could look at it with the mindset that one day with the Lord is like 1000 years. Either way, no one that died, before Jesus was resurrected and ascended, did not go to Heaven.

  • @tmwtpbrent14
    @tmwtpbrent14 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    We baptize in the authority and power of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, first because that is what Jesus said to do. Also, knowing that God has revealed himself as a trinity we understand him to be teaching that we are identified as being in the family of God since Jesus, the Son of God, has the name Emanuel, meaning "God with us". It also signifies how that each member of the trinity is active in our salvation: we are drawn by the Spirit, redeemed by the Son, and reconciled to the Father.

    Your statement is true but doesn't apply, or belong here. The UPC's aka "oneness" ARE believers in the Savior. My observation that they are warm natured and are without any snootiness. That's in addition to their other contributions (music), albeit their doctrine on God not being a team of 3 is ajar with Scriptures.
