Hi i cant connect with the SLC 500 from the port DH485 to the C-more panel touch, i have a problem with the connection and i dont know whats happen with that! Can you say me if i need to the AB 1747-AIC or whats happen with that?
That is NOT the Allen Bradley version of the 1747-UIC. Be aware of this difference as it is very confusing that the same catalog number is used.
Great clarification William! No matter which you I see you use identification of which port with which protocol is the same. But there is a major difference that you have to remember. The 1747-C13 cable is built into the replacement UIC but it must be purchased separately if you purchase and Allen Bradley UIC. Thanks again for watching our video!
Hi Tim, that is partly true about the 1747-UIC and the C13. The UIC and C13 do not normally ship together, however, they may be bundled together using cat# 1747-UICC13. For reference, please see tech note ID# 68962 - 'The 1747-UIC with 1747-C13 cable combination' at rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/.
***** A great suggestion for our next video. Thanks again for the contribution!
tryin to connect to a slc5/03 to a computer dont know which cable to use i need to bring up program go online with it and make a change. can you help me do i use the 1747-cp3 or 1747-uic ? i was confused on what port to plug into on the slc5/03 and my computer ? can you help it would be greatly appriciated
The top RJ45 port uses the 1747-UIC. Most of the time the bottom port is configured for DF1 which would be the 1747-CP3 but if it is configured for DH-485 then you will need the 1747-UIC as well.
@@TimWilborne in ch 0 how to change from DH-485 to DF1 if the ch 0 configurated for DH-485 ?
Hi Tim, can i use the coupler to connect online while the machine is running, means, connect my pc and keep the plc connected ?
