Flood Brothers 224: Mack MR McNeilus Rear Loader Garbage Truck

The last truck I expected to run into while in this town was this shiny “new” Mack MR McNeilus Rear Loader. I assumed when they bought it, it would be sent to their Chicago garage to run commercial in the city, like all their other cabover RLs. But lo and behold, here it is running a suburban downtown commercial route out of Floods main residential site. This driver usually has the pink WX Leach, which is actually being repainted, which is why he was using this truck. Flood bought this refurbished because all newer trucks have DPF (diesel particulate filter) systems, which have to regen every so often and so by buying pre-emissions, they avoid all that and in the process buy some darn nice sounding trucks. I was quite happy to run into this one, and the driver was a great guy and made the afternoon very enjoyable.

Nice video! Really neat to see one of these RLs collecting dumpsters. The shiny orange and green paint looks sick and it really stands out. Definitely don’t see a newer MR too often either. I loved watching all the overloaded dumpsters get picked up and the driver was very entertaining too. The truck sounded really awesome as well! Amazing work as always!

Awesome video!! This truck is awesome, from the sound, to the speed. It’s awesome that Flood is investing in refurbing older trucks, I think they’ll see it pay off for them for sure. I can’t believe how wicked fast that blade is, it’s quicker than some brand new trucks...TTE definitely knows what they’re doing and how to build a truck the right way...fantastic work, it’s always a treat watching commercial RLs.

Couldn’t agree more; the sound, speed, and fresh new paint really put the truck in a league of its own and I’m so glad to see them buying refurbs too they seem to have a great partnership with TTE. The driver was saying that the fast blade was one of his favorite features with the truck, especially since he drives a Leach and we all know how the blades on those are haha glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
Nice! Cool to see an RL from them. The high wind and overflowing dumpsters made it even more entertaining.
They have LOTS of rearloads, so this certainly isn’t the last of the footage of that! The full dumpsters were fun to watch get emptied too, thanks for watching!
