  • Brady Haislet, 3M Application Engineer, walks through how to set up PPS Series 2.0 with the Performance Spray Gun.
    Important notes (00:41)
Wear proper PPE: safety glasses, protective gloves, respirator and whatever else you need for the job. This video is intended for a professional setting such as a body shop or paint shop. Make sure to check OEM recommendations to confirm you’re using the correct adhesive for the job.
    Select Your Cup (00:12)
Start by selecting the proper cup and liner for the job.
    Insert Liner into Cup (00:28)
After you insert the liner, you’re ready to add the coating you need to apply.
Locking the Lid in Place (00:37)
After you insert the liner, you’re ready to add the coating you need to apply.
Securing the Cup to the Spray Gun (00:57)
Attach the cup to the spray gun and start spraying.
    Important note:
There are of course many factors and variables that can affect an individual repair, so the technician and repair facility need to evaluate each specific application and repair process, including relevant vehicle, part and OEM guidelines, and determine what is appropriate for that repair.

Where do you go to throw away the spray gun after using it a small number of times, wears out & not rebuildable!
Like cars, spray guns and your job, disposable! Yeah…
DK, ASE master tech since 78.
Or should I introduce myself as a real word diagnostics & repair / reprogramming engineer, as I have actual fixed vehicles instead of looking at picture books! Aah?

Do you have actual experience that this gun wears out and is not reliable after a short time?

@@Painfulwhale360 Guys who work a collision shops throw them away after a few weeks. They say so on the videos. Accu-Spray guns by PPG, in trash barrels near you everywhere! I would buy one because they are 4 oz lighter. Many new guns under $100 are coated inside to spray water-based paints. Solvent or water, but disposable plastic! Seriously!

@@deankay4434 I've seen rebuild kits for them for 100$ if what you say is true what would be the point of them?

Absolutely useless video. No information on setting up the gun dials.
