    Why should we ought to do what’s good? We might want to but why does that mean that we should do it

      In ethics, what is good means what we ought to do. It would be tautological to say “why should we ought to do what we ought to do?” I think a better way to rephrase is: why should we ought to do a x. X being whatever action you have in question.
      As to why we desire, no idea. Utilitarianism relies on empiricism, not rationalism.
