    EPIROS --> in Greek ΗΠΕΙΡΟΣ.
    The word ΑΠΕΙΡΩΤΑΝ --> APIROTAN inscribed on the ancient coins of Epiros, is the Doric plural genitiv meaning coin "of the inhabitans of Epiros" , in modern Greek ΗΠΕΙΡΩΤΩΝ.

    Please ensure that before touching ANY so-called “Ancient Greek” history, territory or personalities, you state that you’re speaking pecifically about Ancient Greece, NOT modern Greece.
    Epirotes were and are still Illyrians who have been Hellenized a few times, hence they have a somewhat separate identity from both. However, even today, Epirotes on both sides of the borders identify as Sk’Iperi-otes (which is the native term of what Albanians call themselves).
    Epir-us means highland in current Albanian. Prior called Molossia (Malësia in Albanian… also meaning Highland).

      You are not ashamed to make fun of the Albanian people. The "Albanians" are not Sk’Iperi-otes , they are not Illyrians, they are not Pelasgians, they are not Trojans, they are not Dardanians.
      They are simply Shqipetars immigrate from Mysia-Dacia to the Albanian area and are called Albanians for the first time in the 11th century by the Byzantines.The name Albanians was given by the Byzantines due to Ptolemy's reference to the Illyrian tribe of the Albanoi in the city of Albanopolis in the 2nd century AD.
      The modern so-called "Albanians" have no relation to the Illyrians. It is so simple and scientifically and linguistically documented.They are a central paleobalcanic population who migrated to the present-day area of Albania .
      Stop kidding.

      @intelliGENeration 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wardafournello Funny how nothing that you said matches DNA studies, and other non-Byzantine sources (like Italian, German, British, etc). But nice try. Eperia (highland) is Epirus. Shqiperia is the Highland of Eagles. Can't change it. It's backed up by the other interchangeable name of Epirus, being Molossia (Malesia / Molesia, mountain-land).
      Greeks, as we know them today, did NOT exist as a population prior to mid-1850s. They're a cultural creation of the last 150 years made of Albanians of Greece, Anatolians, Bulgarians, Wallachians, etc. All this is backed up by Greek DNA studies. They're the same project as "Slavo-Macedonians"... they didn't exist.
      There is not 1 "Greek" personality or settlement that has been documented anywhere in the Mediterranean in the 1600s and 1700s anywhere. Nowhere to be found. Zilch. It's all imagination recreated after 1850 - like Wakanda.
      Only Albanians in South Italy, Albanians in Dalmatia and Serbia and Croatia, Albanians in Greece, Albanians in Anatolia, Albanians in Syria and Egypt. All generals on all sides are Albanians, not-one-single-greek. NOT_ONE_SINGLE_GREEK!

    > Epirus in the native language (currently referred to as Albanian) is "Eperi", meaning Highland.
    > This is also related to the name of Molossia, which in the native Epirote/Albanian language is "Malesia", meaning Mountainous Lands.
    > *Greeks were colonizers* of few coastal cities in Epirus - which confirms Greeks were NOT natives.
    > The *DICTIONARIVM LATINO-EPIRUTICVM* from 1635 is a Roman document that shows clearly that the Epriote language is THE current Albanian language (no variation at all).
    > *Napoleon Bonaparte* commissioned a book for *Pope Pius VII* (Dec 2, 1804) where he wrote the "Our Father" in all the languages of the World.
    All of the following languages were written in Albanian:
    1. Greek of Calabria - The ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in (Arberesh) Albanian.
    2. Greek of Sicily - the ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in Arberesh (Albanian).
    3. Epirotice - the ENTIRE "Our Father" prayer was written in Albanian.
    .... you know what's funny? That there was no page with the title "Albanian" - because it was called Epirotic and Greek!!! (this was common knowledge)
    Please, someone challenge the Vatican, Napoleon and Pope Pius VII... cuz today's pseudo-Greeks arrivals of Anatolia and Armenia are driving us nuts. Someone is definitely lying!
    Period. These are facts. It's not more complicated than that.
    -
    Everything else is forged and framed arguments by people with an agenda. We know that "Greeks" (Acheans, Thebans and other mixed Pelasgo-Phoenicians) have always applied an expansionist agenda (of course, they're Phoenician blood). Therefore, they can't be trusted, especially if all "historical accounts" come from "Greeks" from a looong time ago.
    If there's one thing to learn form the story of the Trojan Horse, it's to never trust the "Greeks", Masters of Deceit.

      At least since classical antiquity, the Epirotes were speakers of an epichoric Northwest Greek dialect, Epirote Greek, different from the Dorian of the Greek colonies on the Ionian islands, and bearers of mostly Greek names as evidenced by epigraphy and literary evidence.Ancient writers such as Herodotus, Dionysius of Halicarnassus, Pausanias, and Eutropius, describe the Epirotes as Greeks. A far more reliable source on the views of the Greeks is the list of sacred envoys (Ancient Greek: θεαρόδοκοι) in Epidaurus, which includes the Epirotes. The list which was compiled in 360 BC includes the sacred envoys (members of the ruling family of each tribe or subtribe) of the Molossians, Kassopeans, Chaonians and Thesprotians.In terms of religion they worshiped the same gods as the rest of the Greeks. No traces of non-Greek deities were found. Their supreme deity was Zeus and the Oracle of Dodona found in the land of the Molossians attracted pilgrims from all over the Greek world. As with the rest of the Epirotes they were included in the thearodokoi catalogues where only Greeks were allowed in order to participate in Panhellenic Games and festivals. Aristotle considered the region around Dodona to have been part of Hellas and the region where the Hellenes originated.(WIKIPEDIA)

      About the same time towards the close of the summer, the Ambraciot forces, with a number of barbarians that they had raised, marched against the Amphilochian Argos and the rest of that country. The origin of their enmity against the Argives was this. This Argos and the rest of Amphilochia were colonized by Amphilochus, son of Amphiaraus. Dissatisfied with the state of affairs at home on his return thither after the Trojan war, he built this city in the Ambracian gulf, and named it Argos after his own country. This was the largest town in Amphilochia, and its inhabitants the most powerful. Under the pressure of misfortune many generations afterwards, they called in the Ambraciots, their neighbors on the Amphilochian border, to join their colony; and it was by this union with the Ambraciots that they learnt their present Hellenic speech, the rest of the Amphilochians being barbarians.
