Shane Carroll's vocals are legit some of the best in the biz. Whole band is grossly underrated.

This guy seriously has one of the best screams in metal. So intense, you feel every ounce of emotion thrown behind it. I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this band. Keep it up fellas!

This is a different sound. It's heavier, I love it. Vocalist added some new stuff to his arsenal. Awesome.
The higher stuff he added really makes his low growls and harsh vocals stand out even more. Very impressive
I love the screamer's highs are so raw. It compliments his lows perfectly.
These guys seriously need to make a comeback. All of their stuff is really solid but this album was something else. Shane really amped up his performance on this album with tonal screams, vocal storytelling (which isn't easy, especially with harsh vocals) and it was insane. Michael's singing was also a lot more powerful on this album. It really felt like they were listening to quite a bit of prog and prog metalcore when they released this album, honestly, and that's a great thing IMO.
Whole heartedly agree. I really wish they had kept on making music. They would have only gotten even better! I have no idea if they're even a band still.
@@decadude8968 Probably not, considering how long it has been. We've seen some awesome comebacks like Becoming the Archetype but that was the product of COVID, so I doubt FAE will return. I guess you never really know, though!

I have never heard a song sonically capture so perfectly the lyrical content like this before. The end of this song literally sounds like a freight trail derailing. So heavy. Love this. Worth the wait.

Great track! I really like the song structure - not your typical heavy verse / "go for a cleans" chorus. Nice to hear the singer use the low registry & as others noticed, the screamer has most certianly added to his repertoire. Pumped for this album!

Things I love about this
1). Shane Carroll's vocals
It sounds both the same and yet different. I can tell he is trying new things with it and is expanding his range.
2). The over-all sound.
This sounds, at least to me, different from the last album. Both Beyond the Gates and Metanoia sounded similar though not entirely alike. This has a darker tone to it.
3). 3:05 - 4:04
My gawd, it has been so long since music has given me chills like that. I love it when band makes an attempt to give a haunting feel to the music. And the guitar sounds and effects used starting at 3:23 are some of the best and most unique I've heard in a long time.

Im digging this. Last album felt a little more soft/repetitive. I love how Shane's pulling out more vocal techniques. His lows sound a lot like Winston McCall
I never even liked these guys a lot, but the songwriting, the vocals, the whole vibe of this thing is top tier. I genuinely hope the rest is just as good.
