Ugly doesn't *begin* to describe the most recent cars offered. For the past decade, Infiniti went from quirky, yet nice styling to super-mega-fugly! The same, unfortunately, is true with Lexus. I remember when the LS400 was first intro'd back in the early 1990s. The current Lexus models look so fugly, I'd be embarrassed to be seen next to one. The same goes for Infiniti. I used to love BMW. Both BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Now, it's just Mercedes-Benz. BMW's front end looks so hideous, I don't know what designers were thinking when they enlarged the grille on some models, but OMFG! It's not just Japanese and Deutsch vehicles, either.
I strongly disagree with the Aston Martin Lagonda being on this list. What should have been included was the 1958 Continental Mark III... absolutely hideous th-cam.com/video/Jh1ZU_lUPWM/w-d-xo.html and the Toyota Platz/Echo which just looks stupid with it's huge, forward leaning side panels, tiny wheels and ulta-short wheel base.
Edsel was a make of car and a new car making division introduced by the Ford Motor Company on September 4, 1957. The company called that day, "E-Day." It was named after Henry Ford's son, Edsel Ford. The Edsel was also one of the biggest failures in history.
Actually I like nearly all of the cars mentioned. I do think the front end of the BMW was designed by an idiot. The only time I have seen a Marcos Mantis was in a car park in Cockfosters in 1980, and I thought what a cool looking car, maybe because I had a Corgi model of one. I also think both the Allard and Lagonda were quite striking. The Alfa was a strange piece of design, just proves that not all Italian cars were things of beauty.
Oh you know it's ugly when the French actually think it's ugly lol... on a side note I hate that BMW grill it absolutely doesn't belong on an electric vehicle. I am dying laughing at the descriptions of some of these 😅
I freaking love the Allard, that thing is fantastic. Like in Harold and Maude when he turns the E-Type into a hearse. The Subaru is adorable. Like a seriously ugly baby. I agree the rest are all visually offensive even if some are cool.
Subaru 360, not ugly at all. Actually reminds me of that Chinese car that is called 'cat' and tries to look 'cute' and even succeeds. he Allard P2 Is a fantastic looking vehicle. It might have looked better without the wood, but it adds character. The Ami isn't ugly, it's quirky, that is all. The BMW i7 is not ugly at all either, just has a unbalanced, too imposing front - still not actually ugly. just not pretty or elegant. Calling the Lagonda ugly is really nonsense. It looks 'different', but is far from ugly. And calling the Alfa ugly is really out of place too. It doesn't look 'genuinely' pretty, it almost looks like a factory aftermarket bodykit, but ugly? no. The only 'ugly' cars in this list are the first, the mitsuoka. It's not neccesarily very ugly though, it's rather uncomfortably odd and weird looking. But, ugly will still fit. That same goes for the FIAT Multipla. Oddly enoguh, it just needed to have more rectangular tail lights and the hood flowing into the windscreen, with 'normal' headlights and it would have been fine. But yes, the Multipla definitely fits the ugly card. The Mantis M70 indeed fits the ugly bill too. The Skylark indeed is ugly. So does the Aztec. And yes, the S1 is hideous.
Lagonda would have many, many adoring fans wondering what YOU were smoking. Sure it took weird and enbraced it. I have always dreamed of affording one. Yet the interior you claim saved it is the failure of the car costing AM ungodly sums attempting to fix technology that clearly wasn't ready for the designers dreams. Got that one completely backwards. Beauty is subjective. Except in this case where you were just 100% wrong.
As with all these compilation videos, it’s mostly total drivel, sadly not helped by the puerile jokes. There aren’t any ugly cars here. They’re designs that are generally relevant to the times in which they were produced. Keep in mind that if you don’t like a particular car design it’s your preconception of how a car should look that’s influencing your response to it. Modern cars lack the individuality of the ‘designer’s interpretation’ because they are computer based designs that emphasise cost considerations over artistic interpretation. Curves and creases are introduced to a design to improve its rigidity and strength, not its beauty. Function over form is perfectly acceptable if it’s achieving the desired outcome. Besides, it’s not appropriate to make fun of someone else’s efforts just because you don’t understand or appreciate what they are or were trying to achieve.
One of the top places goes to the Ssangyong Rodius. You can just imagine Ken Greenley submitting the design at the last minute only to be told it was supposed to be an MPV instead of a sort of four door saloon. “Oh, crap”, he replied. So he tacked on what we all had to see and could never unsee again …

I actually think William Towns did a stunning job on the Lagonda. Low and sleek and not a curve anywhere.
Oh you know it's ugly when the French actually think it's ugly lol... on a side note I hate that BMW grill it absolutely doesn't belong on an electric vehicle. I am dying laughing at the descriptions of some of these 😅
Your narration was/is very comical and entertaining 👍
Ai generated.
I saw the title and just dropped by to make sure the Multipla was in there. An absolute abomination. Good work.
I freaking love the Allard, that thing is fantastic. Like in Harold and Maude when he turns the E-Type into a hearse.
The Subaru is adorable. Like a seriously ugly baby.
I agree the rest are all visually offensive even if some are cool.
They missed the boat. There are more ugly cars than some of these
Ain't no way you just called the Lagonda ugly
It doesn't look 'genuinely' pretty, it almost looks like a factory aftermarket bodykit, but ugly? no.
The only 'ugly' cars in this list are
the first, the mitsuoka.
The Lagonda was one of my favorite cars in the mid 80’s. But the price was extreme. Could buy 3 XJ6 Jaguars then for 1 Lagonda
I heard whoever designed the BMW with hideous grill quit industrial design all together
Where's the Prius??
Man the commentary on this video is hilarious 😂. I really actually like the BMW 😊.
Volvo 300 series and 400 series.
Without watching, I'll wager the Aztec will included.
Well, it was in the thumbnail!
New BMW's are absolutely horrible, what were they thinking
SZ? Really?
With F series, GMC and RAM range?
The S-cargo?
The Cube?
Not even an AU Falcon?
You went with the SZ!
WOW!
Some exotic cars made by companies competing with Ferrari and Lamborghini are about as ugly as a dirt road.
😅 Good coment! Another Mitsuoka model comes to mind... the Orochi
Your hyperbole is a bit over the top. But, I guess we have to blame the author of the script for the artificial voice.
6:55 Visual crime scene you see here😂
