So TRUE: you do better when you're uncomfortable, friends isolate you when you advance yourself.

Dr your knowledge in history is awesome.
22:00,this history about how Russia helped Ethiopia to be saved from being colonized is true,l learned this in sociology but today,l have gotten deep understanding to this rationale.
Dj your first question about how hardship keeps increasing from years upon years is a good question.

if you are interested in reading you can read this book called "How Europe underdeveloped Africa" by Walter Rodney. It tells you about the effect of colonialism on the continent and how we can rise back to the top.

From reading the bible or listening to the stories about Jesus i don't recall seeing anything about Mary and Joseph going to Egypt when Jesus was a baby.

Russia was, in fact, a participant in the 1884 Congress of Berlin.
However, Russia had its hands full scrambling for Asia and Europe instead, and didn’t have the resources or access routes to scramble for Africa as well. It also wasn’t a major participant in international trade compared to the other Great Powers, so wasn’t interested in establishing commercial treaties, ports and railways, or trade access with African states.
So i disagree with the sentiment from your guest that Russia had some affernity for Africa hence not being part of coloniasm. i can further discuss that there would not have been any country in this world who would have said no to colonising a continent full of natural resources which would have inheritedly improve their country.
