About generations
An art presentation by Gregory & Appel, generations showcases the artwork of emerging and established Indianapolis artists. Artists explore a variety of mediums to tell stories about their lineage and settlement. The works in this series offer insight into how we celebrate personal history, endure and communicate suffering, preserve meaningful cultural traditions, and carry on a legacy.
All people yearn for meaningful connections. The first place they often look to is their families. However, there can be a separation of beliefs and behaviors between generations. Storytelling brings people together, as well as strengthens the link between the past and the future.
This exhibition is a creative partnership. The objective is to expand understanding and promote appreciation between the corporate sector and the arts community. Gregory & Appel seeks to create a space for more meaningful connection and draw attention to the value of local art.
