Trip video: Lao Skyway flight on Xian MA60 (Luang Prabang to Vientiane)

- Another trip video this time on this Chinese built Xian MA60 operated by Lao Skyway. Overall this flight was quite pleasant, with a meal service in the flight. Most of the flight appeared to be at relatively low altitude, where you can observe the Lao countryside (Chinese construction work (belt and road initiative) is being undertaken on the new high-speed rail link).
This is one of two MA60 aircraft in the Lao Skyway fleet which the MA600 variant is still in production has a number of active orders and loosely competes with the Dash fleet (Bombardier, now DHC) and the ATR-42 - however the MA60’s origins are firmly Russian.

They're an interesting Aircraft - An24 with a modern twist. What a nice flight. Looks like a great little airline, crew very well turned-out and everything neat and tidy.

actually this duo engine aircraft is one of the world safety airplane yes in this model history have 9 case one fatal the fatal is totally pilot error that is landing in heavy fog that cause aircraft landing in disaster
This plane is similar to an 24 becouse i was flying an 24 on LOT while there where a polish people republic and soviets got entire Poland
At least according to Wikipedia, it's a lengthened version of a Chinese built An-24, I think the Soviets gave them the plans for it

Cheapest airplane less quality
Just to update everyone, whilst fact checking this the aircraft has had an accident (fatalities) or incidents (aircraft damage but no fatalities). Locations of where issues have been recorded (but not all of them) are in Tonga, the Philippines and Papua.
Less expensive airplane, but highest quality for smaller country. I travel with MA 60 too many times. I feel a lot safer than 737 max.
@@somsatxayalat The propeller plane itself is safer and can glide and land even if it loses power
