The interesting thing is, in LN1 she only ever hums the first half of the song. You could just chalk that up to the composer simply evolving the song from the first game to the second, but looking at it thematically/in-universe, it’s almost like the events of the previous game (according to the Prequel Theory) broke her theme in half; fractured it, if you will.
@@jinxed1906 Given the general implication that The Maw causes some memory loss for escapees (generally discussed in the comic) if they can’t escape it, I wouldn’t be surprised if she just plain forgot about the music box itself, or at the very least it’s tune (hence why she only “remembers” the first few notes).

All the way, every times Six got capture what he has in mind is saving Six. But in Six view, that room is a safe room for her and every times she feel uneasy, she will play that music box. Only that can be the reason why Six release Mono's hand just to make her feel better again. Both of them is a nightmare of each other.

I won't lie. I listen to it when I fall asleep. It's just calming, and in a world like the one we've built for ourselves, the world I find myself struggling in, the world that feels like it's ending, I take comfort in the notes and remind myself of a simpler time, and how if I just keep living, then the maybe one day I'll get to see the world that I remember in my memories. Until then, I'll keep on grooving.
I can literally say little nightmares is a nostalgic game for me, and this music box lyrics just express the good times i've with it.Not other game has touched my heart other than little nightmares.Truly wonderful
i see it as a coping mechanism. although it may not be healthy, it's the only thing keeping them afloat. especially after being locked up for a long time and (maybe tortured?? or whatever made Six a monster) then suddenly someone who they worked with to escape destroyed their only way to cope with the world around them.
I came here to calm down. After like 15 minutes of crying. Weirdly I stopped, sure the tears kept going. But I felt at peace. It was as if the feeling of sadness numbed. But I was still crying. For a good three minutes. It was weird. This is my new pain killer ❤️

Да. Эта игра запоминается. Она находится на одном уровне с такими же шедеврами, как Half-life 2 и другие. Я сохранил это видео в плейлист "смотреть позже" 3 года назад. До сих пор я слушаю эту музыку
This theme has much importance to me, I know that Six didnt betray Mono, the soulless body did, if you noticed at the end her soul stood there and watched as her body escaped the realm within the television, I do think Mono will make a return, and I hope he gets a happy ending 😊, there is always hope, even within little nightmares.

Not just the game, the whole saga is GREAT, even the mobile version won a trophy for best mobile game. A spectacular game, I hope and confirm the 3rd game of the saga.

It’s impossible to convey how much I loved the six after the first part. This was a perfect character. When I heard that in the second part the hero would not be her, I thought this was a fatal mistake. But how wrong I was. Mono was great. Forgive us Mono. In reality Six either drops him because she was angry with him from hurting her/ ruining her only escape out of this terrible world; or she was so weakened by what she went through that she had to let him go--unless they both fall. In one room in little nightmares 1 she can actually make a music box play this song and since it is in the prison level with the toys in it that could be the reason it is called prison toys but the whole prison level thing that i just said has not been confirmed but she can play the music box in the 1st game.

Finished the game Six... Mono... The thin man... The teacher... The doctor... The school... The hospital... Pale city... All those memories. And mono... He was the thin man all along. This song... it captures all of those memories.
I'm still convinced that Mono was the son of the Thin Man and that he kept running away because he didn't want to follow in his fathers footsteps but then six betrayed him and he became cold and resentful and he ended up turning into his father.
The song is supposed to be hypnotizing because when you listen to it you feel calm. It was supposed to keep Six in the hunter’s house. She was so hypnotized by the song that she couldn’t get the song out of her head, which caused her to become the monster in the signal tower. You all say that you now know why Six was mad about Mono breaking the box. And if you think about it, Six never could really get it out of her head even after letting go of Mono. She sang the first part of it in Little Nightmares 1. But of course, that’s just me. I am one of those people who think the 2nd game is the prequel. Little nightmares is such a mystery. Who are the glitchy children? Who’s six’s shadow? Why did six betray mono? Listening to this makes me think deeper than ever about what the answer to this mystery is.
The glitchy Children are pieces of six’s soul , essentially the darkness left behind by six to shadow the lady from the first game , it’s the Pieces of herself that gets left behind every time she got more powerful. Six betrayed mono because she saw how powerful he was , she was scared his powers would be the thing that destroys the world creating the time loop , but she didn’t know mono created the loop by being let go by six and thus making mono becoming the tall man creating the time loop of mono trying to go through tvs through the hallway to let the stall man out, he was just trying to save him self from the thing he became
It's really obvious actually. The shadows of the children are children that have been caught by Mono in his adult future form, as is Six when she gets taken by Mono. That's all that remains of them when they're taken into that virtual dimension. Unless you mean Six's shadow in the first game, then that's probably the same from the second since it's a prequel, which defines her evilness too, but I'm not sure. However, it's clear that those who get caught by Mono in that dimension, end up becoming evil monsters. Six leaves Mono because she remembers that it was still him who caught her, transformed her into a monster, made her suffer yet again. Paradoxically, Six leaving Mono is also what will cause Mono to become the evil version of himself that he was trying to escape from. So Six and Mono cause their own downfall.

Okay I don't know if a lot of you have actually checked this but I actually went back to listen to the ending of little nightmares and I listened really really closely and come to find out that the humming that six homes at the end of little nightmares when she's done eating the lady is the same exact song or music in this case on six's music box thing that she had in the first chapter and also the chapter where before you have been betrayed by 6.
So fun fact. If you raise the the pitch of the Lady's song and slow it slightly, it meshes with this beautifully. I've been humming her part for a minute now.
After of two years, announced Little nightmares 3. At the same time as I'm happy, I feel like it won't be good to put a lot of hope in thanks to it not being made by the original creators... Anyway, I hope they don't ruin the franchise, one of my favorite franchises.
From what i've seen so far they are actually working with already existing Content so i have high hopes that it'll fit in well with LN 1 and 2. I just hope it will have the same hidden Details and Secrets that may point to other Games in the Future or even explain some things we can find in the first 2 Games.
My biggest fear is that it's being made by Supermassive Games, and while they could've just let this one lie, (It's a "complete" story with little to no holes and a plethora of theories) they're choosing to continue it. Supermassive has made a lot of games, the most notable in recent memory being The Dark Pictures Anthology Series, Until Dawn, and The Quarry, and some of these didn't really... Work out. They have good storytelling, don't get me wrong-- Wonderful character direction, just... The plots are... Ah... Not good. They hit the ball in the park (In my opinion) with Until Dawn and TDP: House of Ashes, but fell so, so short with everything else. Supermassive Games has worked on Little Nightmares II in tandom with Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco, so that gives me a small bit of hope, but the Nightmares are a different kind of horror game, so different that it could be called a genre of Nightmares. Inside, Nightmares, and anything else that exists with the same theme of child-like nightmares chasing you through the dark could be considered the Nightmare genre of gaming; This is so intensely different from what Supermassive is used to working with, as they usually use story-based choices in their games, as seen in Until Dawn, The Quarry, and, thought they didn't touch it, Minecraft: Story Mode. Though they have worked on Little Nightmares II, it has been TWO YEARS since the game came out. I have watched the trailer, and so far, it looks... Good. I'm questioning the idea to make it co-op, since the charm of the Nightmares is that you're alone in your fear; If someone were to be there, you'd have to stop or encourage them to keep going, which could further immerse you, or have the opposite effect, especially on replayability. Supermassive is taking a huge gamble on it, though I'm glad there's no such thing as switching characters. Speaking of, the two characters having their own things going on feels... Good. I'm optimistic about that, as in Little Nightmares II Six could definitely help with some of the smaller enemies by holding them in place. (Looking at the hand boss fight) This would be very mitigated if you had to constantly switch and make sure that the other N/PC is safe, so they could just make Alone invincible, if what I've said is the case. From what I've seen, the heart of the Nightmares, if it had one, is still there. It feels like, so far, that Supermassive has kept the spirit that made the first II so good, but what I'll be looking for is recontexualization. So far, every game past Little Nightmares has recontextualized the stories told previously; Like how Very Little Nightmares showed (Or at the very least, implied) how Six found the yellow raincoat/reached The Pale City, and/or how Little Nightmares II revealed how Six got onto The Maw. This one seems to be taking a step back from Six, Mono, The Signal Tower, The Maw, all of it, to further flesh out the world of Little Nightmares. Which is fine; Supermassive Games has a lot of live up to with this, and from the trailer three weeks ago, it seems like they have it. I don't exactly trust them with the game, but I'm not opposed to it coming out. Even with Silksong, the most highly intimidated game among platformer fans, will not be watched as much as the development of this game for me. The children are the little nightmares, not the monsters themselves. Let's hope Supermassive understands that, at the very least.

Hey, have any of you listened to this on 1.5x speed? Sounds like a boss fight. Also, right before the repeat drops every few measures, change it to 1.75x. After a few more measures, just at the repeat, change it to 2x.
Ok so, strange thing happened I decided to walk around my bedroom, Humming to the song. When I did this my head kept swaying back and forth to the lullaby, my arms were out a little, and i couldn’t think of anything. After ten minutes an ad started and I broke out of my trance, I decided to sit down and keep humming, my left hand on my left knee and my right hand on my phone to feel the vibrations, and my head kept swaying. Something weird happened then, my vision got blurry but I kept humming, it got to the point where my closet doors disappeared. My eyes became droopy and they closed even though I didn’t want them to. I still kept humming, and if I tried to think of something, I would just forget it and focus back to humming. I couldn’t feel my legs, it felt like they were stuck, and wouldn’t move, same with the rest of my body, the only thing that moved was my head. After 16 mins I was able to break the trance. Now you might not believe what You just read from my experience, but I also have disassociation problems, so this may also be linked to the cause. And it’s 12:00 am. But the weirdest thing was that once or twice, there would be this black kind of aura that closed around the room, and keep in mind I had lights on. Now I keep swaying and humming even though the music has stopped. This was truly new to me.

The melody, it plays on and will not stop. The voice sings of pain and loss. These things I know too well, but still can bear. It is when the voice sings of hope that I learn true anguish, a longing for that which I can never have.

The song is supposed to be hypnotizing because when you listen to it you feel calm. It was supposed to keep Six in the hunter’s house. She was so hypnotized by the song that she couldn’t get the song out of her head, which caused her to become the monster in the signal tower. You all say that you now know why Six was mad about Mono breaking the box. And if you think about it, Six never could really get it out of her head even after letting go of Mono. She sang the first part of it in Little Nightmares 1. But of course, that’s just me. I am one of those people who think the 2nd game is the prequel. Little nightmares is such a mystery. Who are the glitchy children? Who’s six’s shadow? Why did six betray mono? Listening to this makes me think deeper than ever about what the answer to this mystery is.
The glitchy Children are pieces of six’s soul , essentially the darkness left behind by six to shadow the lady from the first game , it’s the Pieces of herself that gets left behind every time she got more powerful. Six betrayed mono because she saw how powerful he was , she was scared his powers would be the thing that destroys the world creating the time loop , but she didn’t know mono created the loop by being let go by six and thus making mono becoming the tall man creating the time loop of mono trying to go through tvs through the hallway to let the stall man out, he was just trying to save him self from the thing he became
It's really obvious actually. The shadows of the children are children that have been caught by Mono in his adult future form, as is Six when she gets taken by Mono. That's all that remains of them when they're taken into that virtual dimension. Unless you mean Six's shadow in the first game, then that's probably the same from the second since it's a prequel, which defines her evilness too, but I'm not sure. However, it's clear that those who get caught by Mono in that dimension, end up becoming evil monsters. Six leaves Mono because she remembers that it was still him who caught her, transformed her into a monster, made her suffer yet again. Paradoxically, Six leaving Mono is also what will cause Mono to become the evil version of himself that he was trying to escape from. So Six and Mono cause their own downfall.

After of two years, announced Little nightmares 3.
At the same time as I'm happy, I feel like it won't be good to put a lot of hope in thanks to it not being made by the original creators...
Anyway, I hope they don't ruin the franchise, one of my favorite franchises.
From what i've seen so far they are actually working with already existing Content so i have high hopes that it'll fit in well with LN 1 and 2. I just hope it will have the same hidden Details and Secrets that may point to other Games in the Future or even explain some things we can find in the first 2 Games.
My biggest fear is that it's being made by Supermassive Games, and while they could've just let this one lie, (It's a "complete" story with little to no holes and a plethora of theories) they're choosing to continue it.
Supermassive has made a lot of games, the most notable in recent memory being The Dark Pictures Anthology Series, Until Dawn, and The Quarry, and some of these didn't really... Work out. They have good storytelling, don't get me wrong-- Wonderful character direction, just... The plots are... Ah... Not good. They hit the ball in the park (In my opinion) with Until Dawn and TDP: House of Ashes, but fell so, so short with everything else.
Supermassive Games has worked on Little Nightmares II in tandom with Tarsier Studios and Bandai Namco, so that gives me a small bit of hope, but the Nightmares are a different kind of horror game, so different that it could be called a genre of Nightmares. Inside, Nightmares, and anything else that exists with the same theme of child-like nightmares chasing you through the dark could be considered the Nightmare genre of gaming; This is so intensely different from what Supermassive is used to working with, as they usually use story-based choices in their games, as seen in Until Dawn, The Quarry, and, thought they didn't touch it, Minecraft: Story Mode. Though they have worked on Little Nightmares II, it has been TWO YEARS since the game came out.
I have watched the trailer, and so far, it looks... Good. I'm questioning the idea to make it co-op, since the charm of the Nightmares is that you're alone in your fear; If someone were to be there, you'd have to stop or encourage them to keep going, which could further immerse you, or have the opposite effect, especially on replayability. Supermassive is taking a huge gamble on it, though I'm glad there's no such thing as switching characters. Speaking of, the two characters having their own things going on feels... Good. I'm optimistic about that, as in Little Nightmares II Six could definitely help with some of the smaller enemies by holding them in place. (Looking at the hand boss fight) This would be very mitigated if you had to constantly switch and make sure that the other N/PC is safe, so they could just make Alone invincible, if what I've said is the case.
From what I've seen, the heart of the Nightmares, if it had one, is still there. It feels like, so far, that Supermassive has kept the spirit that made the first II so good, but what I'll be looking for is recontexualization. So far, every game past Little Nightmares has recontextualized the stories told previously; Like how Very Little Nightmares showed (Or at the very least, implied) how Six found the yellow raincoat/reached The Pale City, and/or how Little Nightmares II revealed how Six got onto The Maw.
This one seems to be taking a step back from Six, Mono, The Signal Tower, The Maw, all of it, to further flesh out the world of Little Nightmares. Which is fine; Supermassive Games has a lot of live up to with this, and from the trailer three weeks ago, it seems like they have it. I don't exactly trust them with the game, but I'm not opposed to it coming out. Even with Silksong, the most highly intimidated game among platformer fans, will not be watched as much as the development of this game for me. The children are the little nightmares, not the monsters themselves. Let's hope Supermassive understands that, at the very least.

Ok so, strange thing happened
I decided to walk around my bedroom, Humming to the song. When I did this my head kept swaying back and forth to the lullaby, my arms were out a little, and i couldn’t think of anything.
After ten minutes an ad started and I broke out of my trance, I decided to sit down and keep humming, my left hand on my left knee and my right hand on my phone to feel the vibrations, and my head kept swaying. Something weird happened then, my vision got blurry but I kept humming, it got to the point where my closet doors disappeared. My eyes became droopy and they closed even though I didn’t want them to. I still kept humming, and if I tried to think of something, I would just forget it and focus back to humming. I couldn’t feel my legs, it felt like they were stuck, and wouldn’t move, same with the rest of my body, the only thing that moved was my head. After 16 mins I was able to break the trance.
Now you might not believe what You just read from my experience, but I also have disassociation problems, so this may also be linked to the cause. And it’s 12:00 am. But the weirdest thing was that once or twice, there would be this black kind of aura that closed around the room, and keep in mind I had lights on. Now I keep swaying and humming even though the music has stopped. This was truly new to me.
