Finally..someone who knows music. The facts speak for themselves. In the comments people have wished me dead, call me names, question my music education ...OK fine, I'm not afraid (sorry for the EMINEM sampling). You are right. This is not original music. Sorry I have offended...I still stand by my comments, "I'm just sick of the entire pirating genre of stolen sounds called Dubstep, Deathstep, Rap, etc." Time to create...not replicate!
Samples, Synths and everything having to do with electronic devices, are the origin of electronic music from before 1970, if they want to create rhythms with gameboys, blenders, magnetic tapes or modems that's all electronic music. If you do not like what you hear, you're in the wrong genre of music. Sorry for my bad English
i do get it - but the reality is that most good remixers take elements of the original song and add plenty of their own chord progressions, playing and ideas to make it their own while retaining enough original material so it does not become a 'cover'. while it's true alot of remixes are just 're-edits' there are plenty that are that plus more....and also, good musicians also do remixes as a tribute to songs they love. no need to get all agro about it.
So I'm producing an indi film...How do you think these guys would feel if I took this song and altered it a bit then used it in my movie? In the credits I would credit myself because I changed the beat...Would they like that...Doubt it! They may be "angry" This would be great in my film (probably make it way better because of how it sounds) but I am not a musician unless I create it, I'm a DJ that plays someone elses music. Wish me dead fine, but don't call music thiefs musicians! They are DJs!
Then what would you think of a full length film put together from clips of other movies, speeches paraphrasing other great speeches? TV shows that just show other shows becomes Tosh.O..yes he is funny and successful...but I would never call him an actor, He is a comedian, When people sample and loop already created music I do not call them musicians...They are talented DJs! I respect DJs, I just do not call them musicians...My issue is about creating from the soul..sampling and dubbing is easy,
Never said it wasn't an instrument!...Not close minded...Just sick of all the sampling...be creative use anything you want to create sounds, music. Just DO NOT take someone elses, remix it and call yourself a musician. I respect a kid on the corner beating a bucket more than a person pumping someones song into a computer, looping, altering then calling themselves musicans. Use anything you want...but CREATE your own sounds...Get it?
I keep reading words like musician and song. This is an example of computer sounds stolen er I mean "sampled" and replayed. No Music No Song No Creativity! This is not a personal attack on the stealer/player of the sounds...I'm just sick of the entire pirating genre of stolen sounds called Dubstep, Deathstep, Rap, etc. Anyone got anything completely original?
@TheDotMatrix I will. ;). Thanks.
He sampled the theme from "The Corporation" by Leonard J. Paul.
Kedvencem, imádom ezta cuccot :) this is my favourite, thanks the upload :)
Mobthrow's beats would fit in perfectly in dramatic film scenes

just cause a synth is IN a computer doesn't mean it's NOT an instrument.....close minded huh?
