Love our rear lounge K-yacht 80. I use the front bed and hubby uses the rear bed, no having to get over the other to get to the loo during the night 😅.

The Grand frontier certainly is a lovely van, but you made the mistake of looking at that first before F72 if you get what I mean. Thanks for sharing with us Bob! … Today was accessories day for us and tomorrow will be van day, we’ll also pop and see Aileen 👍
Love watching you and Jenny. We have been procrastinating for 5 years about buying a motor home but it seems everything is lining up nicely for us now (apart from the cost!). Love the Bailey Adamo 60-4, would be great for the two of us I think, saw the drop down bed recently in a showroom and was pleasantly surprised by how big it was. I noted that you mentioned about probably not being able to take an aqua roll or wastemaster (didn’t appear to be any garage space). Does that mean you just have to keep filling up and emptying tanks at the MH a service point, or can you use a fully serviced pitch to have everything ‘on tap’ as it were i.e. is there a way to connect your water pipe to the van to keep the water topped up. Apologies if that sounds like a daft question but we are new to motor-homing. Carry on all your good work, we have learnt so much from you, invaluable advice. Just thought, could we put an aqua roll etc in the shower unit for travel? Many thanks
No, you don't need aquaroll and wastemaster if you're happy to use the Motorhome Service Points on campsites. On a fully serviced pitch you could fill up your fresh water tank on your 60-4, just remember to switch the tap off when the tank's full. If you get something like the Colapz flexible waste pipes you can empty waste water into the waste water drain on the serviced pitch. Some people with smaller vans will carry a small bucket and watering can just in case. Colapz are also bringing out a 25L Collapsible fresh water carrier.
Will we be seeing an ‘Are we having a new motor home’ video any time soon. By the looks on both your faces the GF88 would be a good contender. But would it get Poppy & Tara’s approval too. As we get older the appeal to climb a ladder to get into bed would maybe sway us on the purchase of a motor home with a drop down bed. Also, if the kids have flown the nest, the need for the drop down bed as well as the island wouldn’t be necessary. I wonder if there could be an option to leave the drop-down bed out of the layout, giving you a better headroom and lesser weight (as I can imagine those are a good weight on their own). Good option or not ? Would certainly makes a stunning luxury 2 berth
Yes the GF88 would be very nice, if finances allowed. We never needed drop down beds or the like anyway as we never had children, but so many motorhome manufacturers assume the need for 4 berths all the time.
An improvement from Autotrail is they have added what is extra to the standard model, and specifically show (though I couild not read it on screen) the extra weight of two of the extras that need to be deducted from the standard payload shown. so you are probably very near to 400KG payload for 4 people, which is tight for 2 people. You might need that 1000Kg towing limit for a trailer to carry some of your kit.
Good selection of vans Bob, but I have the problem of being 70 in a few years so I need to start looking for 3500 kg van which I can tow with & fit a 28 kg dog, not easy to down size from a Auto Trail Delaware, will have to look at the Bailey's.

No passenger door on the near side could be an issue on EU toll booths on the A series AT as window seems small to reach out ? The Adamo with 340 kg pay could be an issue with a 70 kg towbar and and extension rails to be subtracted possibly and then passengers and gas bottles ?
Ironic really, having problems on EU tolls booths. You'd probably have problems on the M6 Toll in European A Classes. Yes, we sort of ruled out towing with Adamo as it reduces payload even further. I do hope the government change the rules on 3500kg licences.
I wanted to have my camper van as my only vehicle ( only 6 meters x 3 metres height, tv and solar panels ) but unfortunately in my town ( Burton upon Trent ) the car parks now all have height barriers so I’m having to still have a car, which is a pain. Great start to the show. Thanks
Think you have a Motorhome not a campervan. Most campervans (small vans with pop up roofs) will be only around 2 metres in height or less with the roof down.. Maybe that's what you need?
love that a class autotrail ,,bob can i ask you have you been thinking about getting the timing belt done on yours yet ,,mine is about the same age ,,and looking for places to take it prices ect might make a good video ,,i have been quoted £680 from a local garage that includes water new pump and there a reputable garage ,,
That Grand Frontier is lovely but I would expect for that price a vehicle which is fully winterised and capable of trips to the Alps or Nordic countries. To me it seems like a cost cutting excercise which people dont realise until its to late when all your pipes and tanks have frozen. British manufacturers are getting there but they need to up their game.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Its the British version of winterising but having seen Brit vans in the Alps with heated tanks and foil on the outside its not great and when the temps are consistently subzero then they freeze up.
The price of new motorhomes is unbelievable. It will be interesting to see how sales go this year. They must be unaffordable to most people now. Is the bubble about to burst?
There's still a big demand and a lot of shortages in the market. Price is all relative if you are lucky enough to already own a motorhome as used prices have shot up too. It must be difficult to afford if you are new to motorhomes.
Hi Bob I'm coming to the show to order on Saturday. I know you have a lot of requests already. I was just wondering on your travels if there is a Swift Voyager 540 at the show? I know Swift are there but don't have time with them on their stand. I'm not after a tour of one but if you pass one on one of the stands I would be grateful if you could mention it. Its between that and the Bailey 69 -4 Adamo which I know are at the show. I'm enjoying your coverage of the show. We will definitely visit your friends pet store and bring back our westie a treat. No, but the Bailey website tells you where the nearest dealer is.
The F72 feels like it has a compromised rear lounge and not a great front lounge. That's why we went for the F68. Great rear lounge.

Yes and that's the worry for a lot of people that payload. We hardly ever take 4 people with us though.

You'll struggle to find a car you can tow with the Bailey Adamo. You don't fancy getting the medical and paperwork for the C1e when you get to 70?

Not yet, suggested timing belt life is 50k or 5 years. It's done 20k now and 4 years in December.

Didn't know it wasn't winterised. It's certainly a consideration if you plan taking it up the Alps.

Yes, as far as I know it's the only A Class from a British manufacturer, which is a crying shame.
