There is a reason why Ronn Moss is iconic, and it has to do with how long he played the character. He started playing Ridge in 1987 when the show began, and he remained in that role for 25 years, cementing him as the second-longest running actor on the show after Katherine Kelly Lang who portrays Brooke Logan.
Thorsten Kaye
The German-British actor Thorsten Kaye joined the show as Ridge in 2013 after Ronn Moss left. While it was a struggle for him to initially warm up to the role because he was unsure how audiences would take to him replacing Ronn Moss, he found his footing quickly and settled into his work. Now, he is a beloved actor by audiences, and even achieved something that Ronn Moss did not: he was nominated twice for an Emmy Award.

This is a no-contest..... Ron Moss played Ridge during the well-known "THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN RICK!!!!" exchange. People still watch that to this day and laugh hysterically about the horrible acting from Moss.
As far as I know, Thorsten Kaye has never displayed acting so bad it went viral so the point easily goes to Kaye.
Well to be fear to Thorsten Kaye, he seems to be a good actor too, but to tell you the truth, I kinda like Ronn Moss better
. Because he was the real original Ridge who played that role for from the very start. That's why there's nothing like the original, no matter how you tried to change it.
@@user-my2ix1kd8e You could be right. Honestly, I never watch the show. I've only seen clips with Kaye because I was a fan of his All My Children character...... He's good in the role but I think he would do great in mob or action movies. He'd be a great villain.

The thing is Ron Moss had the photo model look that people are obsessed with. People back then and some still didn't care about acting. Most people now a days rather have quality before quantity. And that is where Thorsten wins. People should stop idealizing standard media appeareances as "the best" without even looking in the effort. Unless your autistic then yeah...watch something else...
he’s unappealing to me don’t know why people were so enamored with him he had an unsettlingly wide jaw that’s the off putting thing, the video where he visited an old italian woman he was 61 can you believe it he looks 25 years younger, she thought he’s much younger he’s almost the same age as her, how was he 61 at the time he has really good genetics or work done I don’t think so but

Thorsten Kay is by far the better actor. His take on the Ridge Forester role is so much deeper and real. Ronn Moss, though handsome, is creepy and just plain weird in his interviews and phony and arrogant as Ridge Forester.

Definitely Ronn Moss. I hate Ridge's character ever since Thorsten Kaye took over the role.
Thorsten Kaye is the better ridge.he showed more love and compassion for Steffy and Thomas. Ronn moss he was always putting Steffy and Thomas the back burner. He would always put Brooke and Hope first. And Hope is not even his real so call daughter. Steffy and Thomas was always known as his "OTHER FAMILY ". SO THAT'S WHY I CHOOSE THORSTEN KAYE BETTER
You have to blame the writers for that.
