  • This is a simple method that can be used with practically any shell material! One of the reasons i love this process so much is that it only takes about thirty minutes from start to finish, which allows you to make a large quantity in practically no time at all! Another upside is the massive amount of flexibility, which allows you to come up with as much variety and detail as you can think of!

I kindly request information about the tool you are using. I am eager to start creating my daughter's Native American graduation stole for 2025. Thank you in advance.

Enjoyed watching your craftmanship. Were you using mineral oil as the lubricant for boring the holes?

I like it better with the comments on what you're doing and why. I didn't see what you were using on the shell to sand or polish it? I guess I don't like the music on videos because with ear buds it's always louder than the person speaking. I'm still watching these to see how they are done. It's really cool. Thanks

No you don’t need a respirator to work with shells, they naturally have healing properties and won’t affect your breathing. If you’re sanding that’s a different story. I use shells daily on myself and my clients, never needed a respirator! 🤣

I grew up thinking abalone gave off poisonous grains. Maybe you wore a mask.

    • @TheoKellison

I was definitely wearing a mask, and you are absolutely right! Abalone dust is immensely toxic

Can I ask you what type of mask or what type of respirator Cartridge that you wear for protection? Thank you so much.
