Recommended to watch. Nice pickups. I got that cursed mountain toward the end of the Wii lifespan. I also got the 3d dot game back in the day when GameStop was getting rid of their ps3 games. My Walmarts hardly ever have clearance games, I think the last time was a few years ago I got Xenoblade chronicles definite edition on the switch for 10 bucks. I went to that game store in Salem last October with the wife as we were there to see it all jazzed up for the Halloween season, didn’t get anything that sparked my interest but was cool to browse after our witch tour. Now a trick I learned from Reddit is if you do the gamestop 4 for 40 you can just buy a couple you don’t need and exchange with your receipt for ones you want at other gamestops. That way in the end you get the four games you really wanted.
I think I’ve actually done that myself in the past with the four for $40 deal. I remember that Xenoblade Chronicle $10 deal at Walmart as well. That store in Salem is pretty much a tourist trap. Owner was nice, but the prices were definitely a smidge high. Was cool to run into though.
I had the same issue with game zone! I was up there in march and considered buying funky barn but it was WAY too high and they didnt budge on anything. Definitely a cool store though - everything looked awesome.
Unfortunately, a lot of these videos that I release are from a few months ago because I just don’t get around to editing the stuff down very quickly. Pawnshops in my area have definitely been dry as a recently. I was happy to find some stuff when I was back in my hometown at least
Ah yes 3D Dot Game Heroes, the game that i can no longer listen to the OST of without thinking of Scott the Woz😂 His old outro song, the iconic one, is from that game. I wouldnt be surprised if that was a part of the reason the game spiked in value for a bit there
Game Zone in Salem is a "local" store to me (within about an hour driving distance). It's also one of the stores I walked into once, realized what it was, and never returned. Next time you're in the general area, take a trip out to Sudden Impact in Winthrop. It's a hole in the wall store, but the owner is a cool guy, and WILL work with you on pricing IF you're spending a lot of money with him.
GameStop used to have a promotion this time of year where they would give you 50% more store credit for everything you would trade in. I spent over $1k of credit on a iPhone and a tv from their website last time. I haven't seen that promotion in at least a couple years. I guess it's gone for good?
They still do it, but it’s just not as often as they used to be. I would expect to see it fairly soon though with the holidays coming up, they usually want to load up on trade-ins. Another one that I like is when they do the five dollar bonus credit for any game that normally trades for over five dollars. If you have any low dollar games you can get almost 100% trade bonus with that deal.
This store in general seemed like more of a tourist trap. Owner was a sweet guy though, and very pleasant to talk to. I definitely need to seek out some more stores when I am out east again.
Yeah I’m sure it probably would’ve been profitable for people. I actually already owned it and I don’t really do any selling online. So that $70 price tag was not in my wheelhouse. Usually around bowl season is when the price spikes on PriceCharting. Same thing with March madness for the NCAA basketball games.
Whats up Cincy! Lol I always struggle getting that 4th game as well nice to see you uploading a video! Anyways love the content hope you post more often
im form mexico, i just got a copy of 3d dot heroes for $100 pesos... equals to $6 dlls less or more.. here in mexico most people dont know mush about games value... they think the marios are the most expensive one... so i still have big deals here on my town, yesterday i lose a copy os chrono trigger for $45 dlls to some one else, on facebook maker place.. but i got a NCAA14 for 3 dlls. its crazy what you cant get here...
@@BigCTV Marketplace in my area be trying to charge $40 for loose games without the damn cases. It's irritating. I find myself just amazon carting what I want because Gamestop ain't much better pricing used at $55.
Honestly, most of the Walmarts in the Cincinnati area don’t seem to have any decent clearance deals recently. There’s only a select few stores where I can get lucky from time to time. There hasn’t been any big time clearance drops in over a year or so.
That was on purpose. I already own NCAA 14 and they charge like $70 for it at GameStop. I actually see it all the time along with the college basketball games at my local stores.
@@CincyGameHunting word and that makes sense especially if that portion of the video was filmed a bit ago. I still scoop em at $70 closer to Christmas tho since they spike so much
The game store definitely seemed to be a tourist trap, though, so did most of the attractions around town. I did enjoy the history of the area, but I’m not much cheesy tourist stuff.
No, this was from back in like June. If you want to stay up-to-date with what GameStop is doing for sales and what not I usually post all the deals that pop up on my Instagram and Twitter. @CincyGameHunt
Yeah, it definitely gets hard to find anything worth grabbing at half-price books anymore. I always just peak from time to time and see if I can catch them slipping on something. It doesn’t happen often but it does happen once in a while.
No the four for 40 is for any game under $20. They also occasionally do a four for 20 for any game under $10 and a four for 10 for any game five dollars or less
No, the sale was back in June as I mentioned in the video on the bottom of the screen. The current promotion at GameStop is for pro members. There’s a bunch of games that are between 50% and 75% off, check out the website for details.
Going to gamestop is dissapointing. I could go to 5 different ones and they all have the same shit. It's next to impossible finding good deal on games I'm interested in. They never carry anything older than current gen.
Yeah, even with the retro push they really don’t seem to have a lot of older games in the stores. Until they start improving their trade rates, it’s going to be hard for them to ever really catch up. I usually just hoard my trade credit whenever they have a 50% bonus deal and then just wait for them to start having sales for other stuff and then spend the trade credit. I need to reload soon, I just spent most of my trade credit about a month ago on a steam deck.

It's so great seeing your content
Yeah I got my 7 gen collection all for 4$ for 44$ I saved at least 120$ each games are more wanted than ever I got today a New game 10$ saved 70$ 😊
Solid pick ups for sure! It’s been slim pickings of late so it’s nice to see you getting the deals you got!

This is exactly what happens to me every time, I eventually give up and find the cheapest price on eBay

Love every video you post. I'm never disappointed. The 3D dot heros looks awesome would love to see you play that
It’s definitely a game that I have been keeping my eyes open for. Such a cool concept.
Nice view of "games"at that pawn shop
haha, I always try to keep peoples faces out of the videos out of courtesy, can't promise about anything else...

Thanks for the heads up, I’m out on the East Coast about once a year usually.
when this sale happened @ my GS, they had no games that qualified for the sale...

Its cool to see another collector from KY. Enjoyed the video man, I'm definitely subscribing
W GameStop employee from the first stop! Great video as always man
Yeah, that was totally amazing. That story and the one in my local area of where I live are super awesome with their employees.
Awesome! 1 game away for a complete wii-u collection! 😅
Super close, hopefully in an upcoming video, I will be able to finish it off
Welcome to Mass where almost every game store here is at or above Ebay prices

Gamestop had that ncaa 14 on the ps3 a resellers dream 😂

It’s crazy how different countries value different games. Keep snagging those good deals!!!
Solid pickups on those loose Switch games. Most of the pawn shops near me super overprice Switch stuff, so $10 for loose carts is a great price.
I believe they wanted 15 for the Mario and Rabbids game, but I since bought three games they gave it to me for 10
@@CincyGameHunting Not bad at all. The places near me try to charge $25 for a loose Friday the 13th on Switch…

Glad to see you doing more videos bro 🐻👇
Cursed mountain is a good game. it's well worth a play.
It definitely does not look like your typical Wii game. Was pretty excited to see it on the shelf.
Newport represent 🙂
The Walmart by me (Columbus) never has anything on clearance....
Also, Target has Mario Wonder on Demo if anyone cares.

Wanted: Dead is one of those it’s so bad it’s good games. The dialog and voice acting are awful, but the gameplay is decent. Curious what you think.
Half Priced Books lol more like Premium Priced Books

I been game hunting in Canada gamestops
Have they had any decent deals recently up there? I know a lot of Canadian folks say that they don’t have the promotions as much as they do down here.
@@CincyGameHunting they had 50 percent off last week on ps4 and xbox one games
So you buy any 4 games for 40 bucks?
