      Thanks for watching Mattie! Always happy to share information about supplies. I know easels are a big purchase, so knowing as much detail about the product before buying can be a factor for artists.

    I bought this easel a while back. You really hit everything thoroughly to know about this easel. After having used it for a while I love it. It's my favorite out of several that I have. Great review!

      Thanks so much Suzanne! I've found that I needed to rearrange some furniture to accommodate the easel in my work area, but I love it!

    Why is mine so wobbly? There is one knob that doesn't seem to go in the hole on the back to tighten the mast

      You might have the notched horizontal piece on the lower side instead of at the top. I had to dis assemble ad's put it back.

    Can you paint smaller things like 8 by 10s on this?

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely paint small 5x7 and 8x10 inch paintings on this easel. The supporting tray adjusts up to 44 inches from the ground so it'd be good for most sitting positions. However it might be slightly too low if you prefer to stand and paint.

    Does ease tilt backwards 90 degrees for watercolorist?

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The vertical portion of the easel is one section. It can be tilted about 15 degrees forward and collapsed to 90 degrees (parallel with the ground) for storage.

    Hello can you please give me the size of that long middle wood please

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rahul, the longest section of the easel measures 59 inches from the bottom of the tray to the top of the center wooden support. There is a metal latch attached to the bottom of the tray that sticks out about 1 inch. The total length is approximately 5 feet (60 inches).

    Very helpful. Thanks for the video! I've been thinking about purchasing this easel but I have a question, is this easel stable? I want to start recording art videos but the current table easel that I have rocks back and forth and makes an aweful racket whenever I hit the canvas with my brush. Would. This be a good easel to circumvent this problem? Thanks!

      Hi Painting By Accident. This easel is reasonably sturdy but will still wobble a little. If you're planning on filming yourself work, I would recommend having a separate stand for your camera/phone so that any vibrations that happen when you're painting don't transfer to your camera. I've filmed myself draw and the shaking isn't bad enough to be distracting. With my easel, I 'fill' in the gaps where the main easel shaft adjusts up and down with a rag or paper towel and it seems to stabilize it pretty well. A high-end weighted easel costs $500+ so this model performs well for the price!

    hi! This is a great review, I was wondering how is it holding up after all this time? & how sturdy is it in general?

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Raquel, The easel has held up well after disassembly and moving since I last made this video. It's not as rock-steady as the pricier versions that are double the cost, but I still think it's a great value. In some positions it does wobble a little, but it's easily fixed by stuffing a piece of paper towel or similar material between the gaps.
      The easel is really useful to have for when I make larger drawings. I'm still glad I purchased it. If you can find it at a 30%-50% discount, it would be even better!

    problem with these eaels is they use cheap hardware.needs constant adjusting, use loctite if you buy this

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that the hardware could use an upgrade. When you get a budget product, the hardware is often the cheapest option. :[

    I am sorry to disturb you again, I can't afford an easel so I am making it from my nearby carpenter can please just help me for these last 3 measurements please ❤️
    1. Height of Left and right long leg
    2. What will be the distance between those two legs
    3. How much wide and deep is upper canvas holder

    • @PotatoArtStudios
      @PotatoArtStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rahul, I have some additional measurements in the description of the video for the base of the easel. The canvas holder can be made to the size you plan on working on. 1-3 inches wide is standard.

    This isn't a good review, it's more a how to use it and boring list of dimensions. I would want to know:
    - how does it compare to A frame type
    - how is stability
    - how comfortable is it to use
    -....
