There is nothing like it. I was a student at Clemson University for 4 years and that tradition is one of the things I miss seeing the most. Even on TV, it doesn't do it justice. You have to be there, in the middle of 84,000 screaming fans with Tiger Rag being played by Tiger Band and hearing that cannon fire and seeing it for real as the players run down that hill.
Georgia fan here. I was there and I was very impressed. You guys first of all have a beautiful campus and I have been to many SEC stadiums, and your crowd noise could be compared to the top stadiums in the SEC. Better than that dump in Columbia. Great job and congrats on the win. SEE YA NEXT YEAR HOWEVER!

I was one of the only Clemson fans/alum around that area and UGA folks were always great to me. Couldn't say the same about columbia, where I'd get assaulted in the offseason for just wearing orange.

Absolutely! Clemson has The Hill tradition but other universities have their own traditions as equally exciting to their fans. All of them I respect and celebrate with them. I grew up in the 60's and 70's going to Clemson games as my dad was a former player and we had season tickets and nothing beat a day on the Clemson campus and then taking in the game. Looking back to this video and now coming up on 6 years later, this game marked a turning point IMO that set the Tigers on a course to where we are now. This night was where the Tigers began to realize, we indeed can do this. What a fun ride it has been and it ain't over either. GO TIGERS!
College football is not as good as it was back then. Paying the players, media, and tickets being over $200-$300 for some games has ruined it. An NFL ticket has gotten cheaper nowadays. Coming from a Clemson student.
You would think UGA could come up with a better entrance than running through the High School banner in Athens; so, I'm going to offer this; tear out one end of Samford stadium and put a hill there. At the top of the hill have a HUGE dog house in the traditional dog house style, with a giant latch on the front door. As the crowd goes nuts, have Vince Dooley, or whoever was the coach when GA won their last natty pushed up the hill in a wheel chair, unlatch the door and let da dawgs out....

This is stupid. No better than any other team's "run" onto the field. Just look down the road at South Carolina for huge entrance, or Nebraska's tunnel walk. Now I'll grant you that Clemson's equals theirs too..they're all good. But "the most exciting 25 second" Brent? Um...c'mon, not so much.
