Chongqing became the biggest megacity in China in 25 years.
Inside China's biggest megacity, where 32 million people live in a land area the size of South Carolina and skyscrapers give way to vast farmland beyond the city center
In total, there are 32 million people in Chongqing, according to the Seventh National Population Census, released in May 2021. The city has shown immense growth over the last decade with an 11.12% population increase since 2010, per the census.

After watching all these heart-wrenching accounts of people locked in their homes, unable to make a living and not being able to buy food, even people living in first-tier cities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen and then some people who have lost all hope jumping from high-rises, it is good to be able to at least get the weekly dose of feel-good propaganda from Reporterfy. It is just so sad to see what is happening in China these days. Please pin my comment and have a few hundred wu-mao (5-cent) commenters go at it claiming it ain't so. With 32 million in a city and 1.4 billion nationwide. Not everyone can have their two cent. US officials should try to govern China for 1 year with American rules and freedom. It will be chaos. Can we imagine 1.4 billion with gun rights. Murder and crime rate would be through the roof in china.

The government did a good job that they didn’t pull down these old and low houses which has a very long time existence for just building new buildings,which makes the traditional atmosphere and modern atmosphere have good combinations.Love that feeling:)
