Sorry for the REALLY long video 😅 This is R-2 Master ball cup AND using rentals, so I hope you understand how difficult and time-consuming was doing this feat successfully. Enjoy the video and subscribe for more!✨🙌🏼
Hey bro! I’m happy to see you’re watching my Pokémon Stadium videos! Just to let you know: I am planning to do a whole walk through of Pokémon Stadium Kaizo once I’m done with these games.
I don't mind the long video. Hell, on some days when I'm using my phone during my exercise (cardio on elliptical to be specific), I watch long videos. I certainly enjoyed this video with moments like sweeping the first and fifth opponents with one Pokemon and getting a freeze on Alakazam during the final match. Great video!
@@ChrisPTY507 You kind of need to cheese it in order to beat these bastards! The amount of damage you give them vs. they give you is SO lopsided. Kind of have to use sleep moves and freeze haha
Yeah i had a shitload of haters telling me to do the while game using rentals only and ironically, that helped my channel to grow and also to show everyone that you can clear the game in both ways.
And people keep saying "No, it's not possible to beat round 2 just with rentals" Just because the opposing pokemon don't go down anymore with a stab-super effective in 1-hit, doesn't mean you can't do it. You need luck? So what? Luck has been part of pokemon since day 1. And yes, you had awesome luck here, but it wasn't anything too freaky, from what i've seen. In fact you also had some bad luck here and there. So people shouldn't give up so quickly. Also, this wasn't your first try, i'm sure. And with each new try you had a better grasp on what the enemy can do, i think. All i need to know that it is possible, that alone motivates me, to try it myself until i succeed. Thanks for that!
Thanks for your comment! Yeah this run took me more tries than I care to admit, people often love to criticize because they only see the result, not the whole process involves. This game can be beaten using rentals only, but it will of course require more time and patience….and also a bit of luck here and there along the way.
Lol a good choice and strategy to pass r2 with rentals, in my child days i trained in my game boy a powerful team: Dragonite, Alakazam, Magneton, Starmie, Golem and dont remember the last one. Raising all stats to top and using the best TM, with rentals in that days I saw impossible but It is not hehe.
I managed to beat this CUP using a mix of this roster and another Poketuber roster. I used Gengar, Jynx, Articuno, Rhyhorn, Starmie and Jolteon (or Zapdos, don't remember right now)
Congrats! Yea Zapdos is a good choice over Jolteon. I did not used Zapdos because i wanted to show that you can beat any cup without using legendaries, and even better: with rentals
@@ChrisPTY507 Yeah. I used Legendaries only when I had a good strategy in mind. For example, in Prime Cup Master Ball R2, I used Articuno's agility and typing to counter the Gambler's OHKO team. I barely used Articuno in that CUP, BTW.
Seeing how much luck you had and wishing I had this much luck. This is literally how you survive beating R2, it's either the battle goes your way or the opponents way.
It is frustrating beyond believe but thanks to that it's so... INCREDIBLY satisfying when you finally beat the final battle of Master Ball Class. Best feeling ever and FOR ME totally worth the whole frustration beforehand
@ChrisPTY507 It's a save state feature on the Nintendo Switch Online version. It really helps before you begin a battle(so in that case between battles before and after the first battle on the pokémon select screen each time in order to not worry about extra continues), after you defeat an opponent's pokémon, and before you use low accuracy moves such as Thunder and Blizzard so incase those moves miss, you just reset from a save state until those moves land. That feature uses 4 save slots so it's best to use separate ones if you think the battle is going well. If not? Just reset from the pokémon selection menu. Pretty neat eh?
@ChrisPTY507 Yeah in a way it's like cheating.. but I don't really care. It's one thing to win a regular adventure, but on Stadium 1 and 2? It's all about luck and is anyone's game. Hence the useful save states
@@connergillott6154 Exactly. Do not be ashamed of using save states if the game literally haxes you and generally puts the player under unfair circumstances in a frequent manner. Most people say its cheating but i justify their use under frustrating or unplayable moments.
I don't think people realize how much luck it takes for Gengar to beat Old Man like that. One failed Hypnosis and it gets one-shotted with Earthquake. You have to get extremely lucky like 10 times in a row. It's borderline impossible.
Do any of you know of the challenge cup in pokemon Stadium 2? If you do, then you know how difficult it is to do the round 2 master ball cup. It takes pure luck to get pokemon with the right moves. And the gentleman constantly switched his pokemon. It was pure dumb luck I won and having to think 1 step ahead of his plans.
Imagen beeing that poor Zamenza (Alakazam @ 42:05) and beeing a sleep for many turn and then right away beeing a frozen satye:""Gah! I sweare Mew hates me!"
@@GundamDragonLord There's little I have to say without repeating myself on the fact that this kind of stuff can happen on any RNG-based game. RNG can make or break any move at any time.
@@chromidius5339 Thanks! Yeah these videos took me weeks to make. A lot of trial and error, battles lost because of haxing made by the AI, analyzing the opponents Pokémon teams, etc.
I can't believe that Rocker in the fourth match left Raichu in to take a Dig from Rhydon rather than switch to Zapdos, which would've rendered Dig useless. Edit: Also surprised that fifth round Articuno has Ice Beam instead of Blizzard. Then again, if it had Blizzard it would probably be undefeatable with rentals.
After completion of all the cups and the entire gym leader castle, you will battle Mewtwo. Defeat him, and then you will unlock Round 2, which is switchable before entering the Pokémon Stadium by pressing the C-Right button on the controller.
When the Vs. Mewtwo battle is cleared, Round 2 can be toggled on and off by pressing C-Right on the main menu. Round 2 challenges the player to battle through the game all over again, against the same opponents with different Pokémon and a much higher difficulty. Mew can also be rented in the Prime Cup. The surrounding Stadium area in Round 2 is set at night.
The third match is how ik the game cheats beyond belief, gengar is not faster than alakazam so how is it attacking first? That goes for alot of others the shit is so rigged against you its not even funny
Also I know it's only psybeam, but still it's alakazam -- how the HELL did the super effective psybeam only deal 55 damage points to Gengar there at 13:00?!?!?
Its this real like in the last match lovely kiss never missed and u used it like 10 Times + alakazam got frozen like this cant be luck so i assume u used cheats

Not accusing, but this looks like manipulated rng. Way too much good luck for me to replicate haha.
Hahaha I wish I was! If I could manipulate RNG, the AI wouldn’t be able to hax the absolute heck out of me as frequently as it already does.
Poke cup is by far the hardest
Bruh, you had to have such incredible luck and skill to win this whole cup! I kept getting bad luck and it infuriated me to no end 😅

Zero clue as to how you got Snorlax to fall asleep. Any time I try the move fails. Even when Using Jynx's Lovely Kiss.
