- Found this electronic digital photo viewer keychain for just a few dollars.
I'm trying to find a good use for it.. any ideas?

found one of these things in a box of stuff my older cousin was gonna get rid of. had no clue what it was till i plugged it with a usb when i got home and saw some mega saturated prom photos💀

FIX for this thing .
If you cant turn it on by the button, It will need a new battery
It will always say updating ... and show full battery when plugged into the computer usb, With a dead battery or no battery soldered to the circuit board .
battery is a 230mah 3.7v lithium polymer soldered to circuit board and has a charging circuit protection board that will have to be swapped to new battery if the new battery doesn't have one
don't loose the little round rubber rest button when taking it apart
vkc180 photo viewer software confirmed to work and transfer photos with it even with no battery or dead battery
after selecting A photo then pushing arrow to select the photo then you have to push Synchronize to transfer all photos to the device
so if you can synchronize photos to the device , It is working and needs new battery if you cant turn it on.
You cant see photos or use it plugged into the computer with or without a good battery it will always say updating

How did you take it apart? I was able to get the screw on the back out, but that didn't seem to do anything.
Pinouts for different connectors. Like Ethernet wiring or USB.
Displaying (short) QR codes.
... And that's it.
But I already have a phone for that.
Come to think of it, you probably have several old phones on a drawer somewhere, and some of them have a better screen and more storage capacity. If not you probably can get one for less than $5.

I got one device like that. I bought in a good will for $1. It turns on but when I plug it to the my computer, it won't let me format it. It says I need to format it to use it first. It's so frustrating.

U need drivers to install on ur computers so it can sync with the viewer. Formating it will delete the Bios and brick the system. Get the software at Fc Photo Viewer 3.2 Driver.

It's been a while, but any idea where I can find the software for it? I have a customer who brought it in for me, but she lost the software and wants to get the stored pictures out of the device.

I was recently given one, without the software. When I plug it in (either to an outlet or my computer) it only reads "updating", and nothing works. Should I just throw it out, or this there something I can do to fix and use it??

mine doesn't turn on on its own ;-; i know the screen works because when i plug it in to my computer, it turns on and goes into updating mode. and the software shows that it fills with photos

i have one and the battery almost blew up on charging. i replaced it with a bigger battery out of a broken iphone.

Its my understanding that the battery on this is garbage and wont hold a charge, which is why it wont turn on when not plugged in.
I would love someone to hack this thing so I can display whatever I want from my computer.
