When Babaji could not come to Pakistan due to lack of visa, his son fulfilled his wish and the Punjabi wave team took him to this village. Punjabi Lehar is endeavoring to bridge a gap between the people of East and West Punjab, created by the partition of 1947. Most of the people have passed away with an unfulfilled ardent desire in their heart, to see their birth place and meet their childhood friends. Punjabi Lehar is attempting to fufil the desire of remaining partition era punjabis, who will be gone in the next five to seven years. Really enjoyed watching the program, and I agree with you brother Lovely Singh that we should facilitate and issue visas to people on both sides so they can visit their ancestral places, share their memories, and should document their memories, these people are gems from the past, and we must do everything possible to preserve this piece of history before it’s too late. I suggest writing to the relevant authorities and pleading with them for the speedy issuance of visas.
