    Truly sad. Thanks for covering this story, which is not very often spoken of. This country will never be the same but will eventually recover, we will always remember this war & shall not be forgotten. This should be taught in history class.

    the people who put it there should come and remove it, just 0.1% of their Military spending budget of $770 billion would make the big different,

    The problem with this war, as it was never a war, is the effects it had world wide. Two countries, Laos and Cambodia, caught in the cross hairs of powers who wanted to be. They had nothing to do with the Viet Nam conflict. Yet, they paid a heavy, need less price. I agree. The war that never was. They were caught in between. To this day, they can not farm because of the UXOs in their lands. Every day, people die from UXOs. Do we go out today or not. We have to farm, right. But, we have to live also. In this case, I feel so sad. These people are not prisoners, but they are “truly” trapped. What do they do? Live……..or die.
