Franz Lambert became lazy, the auto accompaniment he uses sounds pretty well, practicing takes less long.
He moves his feet on a silent bass pedal board.
Ok, some pieces does he play really live, that people may assume, he would do it all the time.
Every organ player including George Fleury plays Peppermint Rock with live bass but the composer. His bass is the auto bass of a Ketron SD1 style.

WOW !!! Super,diese Schallpatte habe ich 1974 zu Weihnachten bekommen,da war ich 10 Jahre alt.. Und seit dem spiele ich selbst Orgel ( WERSI )

Like Klaus Wunderlich, Lambert played the Hammond, till Wersi came with big money to buy these musicians in order to make them play exclusively on their organs, although the quakity doesn't even approach the original, sensational Hammond sound.
Unfortunately, money always prevails...

Lambert is talented and quite the showman, but Wunderlich was the 'King of the Hammond'.

Klaus Wunderlich hated titles such as "Mr. Hammond" and "King of the Hammond". It's what he wrote to me. Said they were kitsch.

Mister Hammond is an attribute, Wunderlich received and also Franz Lambert, but he couldn't dare to use it, so he refused and used king of Hammond instead.
As Rainer Holbe said "An uncrowned king" when Franz Lambert played a long Medley live. Ok, the drum machine played all the time the same Samba, the bass pedal was pretty busy and didn't match with the music all the time. I could also fake virtuosity when I play something that is wrong so fast, that people couldn't notice.

Franz Lambert startete als junger Künstler mit Hammond, wechselte dann aber später zu Wersi. Aus beiden Epochen gibt es großartige Aufnahmen. Und manchmal weiß ich nicht sofort, mit welcher Marke eine Aufnahme entstanden ist, da früher die sog. "Rhythmusgruppen" sehr aktiv waren.... Mit Bass, Schlagzeug..... teilweise sogar mit Chor im Hintergrund.

Man merkt es an den verwendeten Sounds, wenn er ausschließlich den Sinus Sound verwendet, ist es mit Hammond Orgel.
Er hatte ja nicht so eine Übergangsphase wie Klaus Wunderlich, welcher sich zu seiner Hammond eine einfache Wersi Orgel und eine Lowrey zulegte, um dann später komplett auf die HELIOS zu wechseln und dann mit dieser alle benötigten Sounds zu erzeugen, mit Ausnahme des Bass parts, der kam dann von einem Wersi Bass Synthesizer und der Gitarre, die ließ sich am besten mit dem Pianostar imitieren.

@@tasterix4 1974 gab es noch nicht so viele Wersi Orgeln mit Digitalen Stimmen und Audiofiles.
Manche Dinge, die heute überall gäng sind, gab es vor 50 Jahren noch nicht. Allerdings, haben wir schon damals nicht mehr in Höhlen gewohnt und Säbelzahntiger mit Keulen bespaßt...

​@@robfriedrich2822Wobei der Begriff Sinus-Sound m.W. nie von Hammond benutzt wurde. Die einzelnen Zugriegel erzeugen Sinustöne, aber wenn man sie miteinander mischt, ist das Ergebnis alles andere als ein Sinuston. Mir hat einmal jemand gesagt: die Hammond ist ein perfekter analoger Fourier-Generator. In den 70er Jahren haben einige Orgelhersteller solche Mischtöne auch mit Dreiecks- und Rechteck-Generatoren zu approximieren (ich glaube Dr Böhm hatte da einige Erfahrung). Den Begriff Sinus-Sound habe ich zum ersten Mal in Zusammenhang mit Wersi gehört.
Übrigens Klaus Wunderlich war nicht so markengebunden, er hat einmal geäussert: ich spiele alles, was sich be-Tasten lässt. Es gibt da ein paar traumhaft schöne Aufnahmen, gespielt auf einer Orla Grand Theatre. Sehr hörenswert.
