This was actually one of the few pieces Nobuo Uematsu composed for FFXIV, but I agree Soken is a genius as well! Tomorrow and Tomorrow is easily up there with this piece IMO.

when you know the context, this one hits even so much harder. been around 9 years in eorzea and this one is still one of my favourites.

Soken knows how to cook. This game's music covers a whole bunch of themes and can go anywhere from woodsy fantasy, to hard rock, and even some lo-fi.
