Bloody hell, I just noticed that the Thames barrier music is the same music as in the docking sequence from early in 2001: A Space Odyssey. :p Lovely touch. :D
I remember the first time I saw the Thames Barrier. Left to man a thirty foot beam sailing barge (under motor), I was sixteen and had only sailed on open water (Atlantic). From a distance I thought the boat would never fit, but it's huge and a bit idiot proof, don't go through the gaps with the big red X's.
They are at Hollowshore - I recognised the rusty old trawler in the creek and the front of the Shipwright's Arms. There are a few houses and a pub (The Ferry Inn) on Sheppey on the north side of the Swale, though.
@TheCardam0m oh my god I can't believe you spottet that, and I can't believe that I enjoyed it as much as I did when I did as well. Thank you from a fellow QI fan
a bit late now but i dont remember the guys staying at harty ferry when i first watched this, however where exactly are they? harty ferry is near the town of faversham, my town and the nearest pub is actually at hollow-shore-the shipwrights arms. harty ferry itself has 3 houses and a bird watching place, its a quick 1.5 mile walk past the vicarage and the church into the village of oare and another 1.5 miles through davington, past geldofs place to faversham?!

@Combine1ation
Apparently, "Space Station Docking" from Alex North's original elements of the soundtrack to "2001: A Space Odyssey".

It must be the Shipwright's Arms, as you say. They wouldn't have gone past it into Faversham or Oare.
How adorable is Dara at 1:27 ???
I miss Loli...
He sounds like a cranky toddler. XD
@dickensianooo The most heard song in the world, I hear. At it's peak something like 35,000 times per second.
@4:55 Dara in his pole dancing posture.
