@@JoeTheFarmer Hey Joe, I just ordered my Kioti RX 7320 and will start a small ranch channel soon. Look forward to joining the small group of 7320 owners.
Congratulations buddy!!! Pound for pound it is the best machine out there for the money. Send me some pics when you get it and let me know what your channel is when you get it rolling. I’ll be your first sub! 😁👍🏼👊🏼
We have two Oliver 550s, a box blade, and straight blade, even with a full loaded box blade, it never slows down! With the straight blade you can’t even tell it’s back there!
W0w ... br0 u got some nice bucks coming in .. plus i like the kioti/ Tractor.. if i ever get enouph money 💰 saved up ... i need A Tractor similar 2 it..
Sorry to hear you had troubles with the RX. I'm wondering if it wasn't necessarily was it a bad computer. Mine shut me down around the same hours and I had to do a manual regen and it took like 25 minutes. Then it shut me down in another 15 hours and I had to do the same. Since then no problems but I will have them check it here at the 50-hour service. Otherwise it's been a great tractor, good luck
Thanks Kapper; I'm not sure what it is/was but it seems to have resolved with the regen's. My dealer (Larry Stovesand Equipment) was aggressive in trying to make it right and maybe it just needed to work the gremlins out from shipping/being on the lot. Who knows! LOVE the tractor and especially the cab. Heat/Air, listening to music and keeping the dust and bugs off of me while I work is unbelievable. Can't see ever going back! Now; we need to get you on the @Ventrac train. I know you have the skid loader, but you gotta try one of these things brother!!! If you have a pond it's impossible to beat. Take care! -JTF
Good luck with your tractor. We are thinking of buying a Kubota L3800 tractor. One of the main reasons is it looks like a more mechanical and less electronic tractor. I do not think the L3800 is sold in America anymore as it does not meet emissions regulations. Australia must have differing pollution laws as it’s still sold here.
Hey Karl! Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching! I initially wanted a Kubota and think that they are fantastic products. The price difference in our market was just too wide for me to justify. I have been very happy with the Kioti products. This particular tractor has had an ECM? issue which they replaced under warranty without any pushback. There still seems to be a sensor somewhere that is faulty but it will get addressed at the initial 50hr service (next few weeks). With any of the creature comforts (AC/push button 4WD/Elec PTO) there will be technology...which I am torn whether it is best to have a bare bones mechanical rig vs the benefits...until it is HOT and humid. Then I want the comforts. The US has had our battles for sure with emissions control; but the Tier IV hasn't really been an issue for me other than this challenge (mine is actually a Tier V). It will get worked out... Doesn't stop me from getting work done and I love the size, power and comfort of this machine. Keep me posted on your purchase; you can't go wrong with many of the new tractors out there. They are all very well built for the most part. Hope you will consider subscribing! -JTF
Hi Joe, It will be a while before we buy a tractor. We NEED one. We have a small farm that we a planting macadamia trees on. We hope to have a small orchard as a sideline and interest. So far we have planted around 450 trees which is around half of the total we plan to have. We have two farm vehicles to help. One is an Iseki SF mower. It’s basically a small tractor flipped around with the PTO and linkages out the front with the mower deck. We also have a Club Car Carryall 295 which is powered by a Kubota diesel. We hire a mini loader for other work like digging holes and moving mulch when needed. It works out to cost about a dollar fifty to dig a hole with a mini loader & auger. This is money well spent as far as I’m concerned when digging hundreds of holes. I have a utube channel but it’s a bit dodgy, mainly vlog style.
Sounds like you have some cool equipment! Is the Iseki like the Ventrac? And anything with a Kubota diesel will last a few lifetimes if cared for. And you are right; if you can hire it out for that price it is absolutely worth it. There are some chores on the farm that I would rather hire out than carry the equipment, maintenance and time. We have started a micro-orchard! nothing like what you are doing but I see why you love it. We will be planting about 16 more fruit trees in the coming weeks and then will start planting some of the back of our property with hardwoods. The fruit is really just more for food for our family and friends and neighbors. Machines are a necessity for us; and we are constantly trying to determine what is a necessity and what needs to move on. The new tractor was an absolute luxury; but there have been times that work had to get done and I got far too overheated. Just not as young as I used to be I guess! I will check out your channel! That's the best part of TH-cam. Finding cool people with similar hobbies! Talk soon friend! -JTF
Hi Joe, The Iseki looks like the older Ventrac, not the 4500 model. It’s a tough machine about 20 years old but still going strong. Japanese made. Here is a video from my farming channel. th-cam.com/video/SahY8GaxuQ0/w-d-xo.html
observation: ref. 7 hours during service. Tractors hours include idle. Maybe half was while in service bay running and half they had to test dragging something heavy around during diagnostics. Was Oprah around?
My understanding is that this tractor does not count hours during idle; but who knows. Really just the principle of it was odd; but I plan to put thousands of hours on this machine so all is well that ends well. 😁 Love the tractor...its a beast! Thanks for watching!!! -JTF
Retiring in about 15 months, bought 215 acres of scrub brush and Junipers in southern Oregon and the Kioti cab RX73 is on the top of my list. Ballpark, how much will I be set back. 40k, 50k? I don't think anything smaller will do.
Hey BigLarge, thanks for watching. I think you can get in one at the lower end of that range. Of course additional remotes, third function, etc are extra. I wouldn’t be afraid of looking for one with low hours; but in my experience I would have saved little (if any). Congratulations on retirement! That land will make you feel 15 years younger. 😁👍🏼
I’m looking to get a 30-45 ho tractor that thing looks like a best though. You wood fencing is top notch. Did you use a post driver attachment on a tractor or auger?
Thanks Jeff! I have never used a post driver on our farm because I am afraid of what the rock would do to the post and the impact on rock/vibration/jarring on the machine. Heavy duty auger's seem to be the best way to go given our soil...or you get Nick and the BX tractor and use the backhoe to plant some trees! That's a cool video if you get a chance to check it out.
