Extreme Tornado Chase - Large Twister in Iowa 4/12/22

- A large tornado touched down in Iowa on 4/12/22 along a warm front. It tracked through open fields for the most part. Unfortunately a couple homes were damaged. Luckily everyone was ok.
This was my first chase hosting private tours this year. Chris waited his entire life to witness a tornado in person. It was an incredible experience to help fulfill his dreams, and find a classic tornado in the fields of Iowa. In fact, we witnessed another small tornado the day before in Arkansas.
Not only did this storm produce a wild tornado, but it had beautiful supercell structure and an incredible lightning show. Oh yeah, also baseball sized hail! I may or may not need a new windshield.

These videos make me want to storm chase even more. What a coincidence, I live in Iowa and we were all prepared for these tornadoes.

Nothing like chasing where the corn hasn't been planted yet and it's flat as a pancake with very few trees.

I believe there are specific experiences, where you pay money and you get to go with a small group of people. These experiences are headed by experienced storm spotters, and you get to experience seeing a tornado in all its stages and most of these groups that do this sort of thing stay at a far distance to insure safety of the spotters and the group itself.
You could make it a bucket list item, something you want to experience before you hit old age or something.
Just come visit the US for a few months in early spring; visit the plains (central US) and you are bound to experience our crazy weather somewhere at some point.

It happened in extremely rural Iowa and only caused some property damage-ZERO injuries.Take a second to use google before you say dumb stuff.

Storm chasers save lives. They are the eyes on the ground for NWS issuing accurate severe tornado warnings. No she is not happy it COULD kill people. But yes she is happy she got it on camera. Think before you speak
