    A golden spoon refers to those born to a chaebol or very rich family, a silver spoon to those born to a relatively well-off or middle-class family, and lastly a dirt spoon to those born to a low-income family.

      @morwenk4910 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      (chaebol = it refers to the heir to a very big/influencial/rich company, the son of the chairman, extremely wealthy, powerful in the industry etc.)

      And to add on to that, Mic drop's first line written and sung by JHope is: Yeah, who said my spoon is dirty?
      I don't care, when I grab the mic, I have several gold spoons
      I love it!!

      @@haven_from_me it's been a while since this comment was made lol but I just wanted to say that, as far as I know, it's more like "I beat the ones with many golden spoons" (instead of "I have several golden spoons" like you said) :) [explanation: lyrics are "금수저 여럿 패", 금수저 means golden spoon, 여럿 means many/several, 패 is the present form of the verb 패다 which means to beat/bash/chop up. There's no pronouns used so that's up to interpretation but from context it makes most sense to assume Hobi was talking about himself, thus "I" -> in conclusion "금수저 여럿 패" - "(The ones with) many golden spoons (I) beat"]

    Just a friendly tip! Jimin's not the one who did Seven feat. Latto, it was Jungkook! What people were telling you is that in the Dope MV they played around and switched Jungkook's and Jimin's positions when their vocals were playing :]
    Jimin's album, FACE is definitely worth checking out, though! His vocals are gorgeous and he really knows how to carry a song

    I think you might like Dis-ease more than Fire. It's J-Hope's "brainchild" as we sometimes say about the member who came up with the song concept. 😏 For early BTS I'd suggest checking out N.O. Both songs have an interesting mixture of genres/instruments in one song. Very different songs but I absolutely love both of them.

    Your favorite part of the choreo? You should see when they perform it live! It’s unbelievable, like really, you cannot believe they are able to perform to that level and sing at the same time in such a stable manner!
    It would be great if you could react to a live performance so you could see that this energy they transmit through their MVs translate perfectly (and sometimes, exponentially) in their performances. They have several that are called “legendary” for a reason. Their performance on the MMA 2019 was insanely good, especially Dionysus. But honestly, any BTS award performance is just so over the top good it raises your standards too much, and then any other performance feels lacking.
    Many other comments have indicated it already but Seven is a Jungkook ft. Latto song, and the video is quite funny. If you want to check out Jimin I would really recommend Set me free pt. 2. For the choreo he worked with Sienna Lalau (the girl who created the choreo for ON kinetic manifesto), and video is *chef’s kiss*
    As always, it’s super entertaining watching your reaction and appreciate your attention to detail and your technical knowledge.
    Oh! If you are going to react to Silver Spoon (Baepsae, maybe you want to watch the explained video by DKDK (m.th-cam.com/video/RP4Qbh2rXFU/w-d-xo.html)

But you still recognize the intention, the callbacks, the execution. The way you could link an era of music and say it was executed well even though its not your taste - its why i appreciate your reviews so much! I'm glad the choreo wow'd you and you liked the MV. I always knew of their existence, even from around when they debuted (I’m actually a year older than Jin.) I had friends and family members who were into kpop and kdrama back in the day. But Kpop was not my type of music. (Oh, how I wish I would have been a fan since their debut!) But fast forward to this past winter. My sister is a big Ateez fan, and she would send me funny clips of Ateez. Eventually, I was being recommended BTS clips on social media and I would ask my sister who are the members are. I must’ve sent her a lot of clips, because for Christmas she got me the BTS PROOF album. I was so excited! Rest my soul, that’s where my peace ended Iol. I learned about photo cards. I learned how many albums they had. I listen to the music nonstop, and I discovered their older music. And this past year I learned about BTS FESTA. So I call myself a baby Army, because it hasn’t even been a full year of me stanning BTS, but I’ve definitely learned a lot about the group. Y’all it’s not even funny anymore how much I love BTS lol. I am most definitely that person who integrates BTS into every conversation lol. I’d be sing off key and mumbling fake Korean words to the songs I’ve listened to hundreds of times! But that’s the short of it lol! If you made it to this far, thank you for reading! 🫡

I love when people can openly say that they don’t like a bts song, but commend them on the work they put into it. even if you didn’t like the track, you complimented the lyrics, visual, videography, concept, choreography, and even them as people for being able to immerse themselves into the director’s work. Love when one of yours drops- know it will be legit. This is the song that brought BTS to my attention. The award show live performances are amazing! However, don't disrespect their hard work & artistry but understand their motives. But I'm tired of them too because it's too many fake reactions. I respect everyone choices to do content they are comfortable with & some don't want to cause issues. But it's better to be honest & respectful than love everything. I was the same & that hurts people more than your raw intent & words.

    You’re my new favorite reactor! You remind me all over again of the love I have for BTS! It would be WAY easier for you to watch these if you watched the video first so that you take in the visual message because that’s arguably deeper in meaning than just the lyrics initially without any context. They’re also just incredibly filmed. Then go back and see how incredible the lyrics are based on the story you just watched with your eyes. It all would make a lot more sense and you’d be double pleased instead of having to pause every 1.5 seconds because it’s all overwhelming lol I just want you to enjoy every aspect and really grasp all of it because they’re so amazing and your genuine reaction to them is so amazing and pure!

    Spoons refer to the class system based on who is considered lower, middle and upper class in society. It's similar to the English saying about people being born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Korea has their own version of that as well with dirty spoons (lower), silver spoons (middle), golden spoon (upper class), and now even diamond spoon (extreme upper/untouchably wealthy eg. chaebol - people who own massive family-owned conglomerate and their heirs). RM mentions in his lyric that he's not a spoon ,he's a human. He sort of critiques the idea that society dehumanizes people in order to assign value to them through class. A human being is reduced to a spoon, even metaphorically, and he rejects that notion. This song came out a year after 'Silver Spoon' where they discussed the spoon system.
    There are often some lines that seem like throw-away bars that have a deeper meaning to it sometimes. Even in fun bop songs. Sometimes especially in fun bop songs. There's a saying that the more fun, campy, playful, and cute a BTS song is, there's a higher chance that something deeper is hidden inside. They have gotten away with talking a lot of shit by hiding it in cheerful, sweet songs. 'Silver Spoon' (aka Baepsae) is a good example of a song that's so boppy that doesn't sound like it would be deep until you look at the lyrics. Like many of their songs, the translations on the MV are the most simplified way their idea can be shown to give the reader a quick general feel of the meaning. A lot of it tends to be more nuanced when you get into a proper translation including cultural context and wordplay as well as references. That's why sites like Doolset really can add a lot to a song.

    Really appreciate your honesty in your videos unlike other reactors who just like to say everything is "fire" (pun intended). It' s that honesty that gives these videos more weight and your opinions are delivered respectfully which is really nice to see. As always a really engaging review, always interested to hear your POV. Jungkook's seven has a clean version and an explicit version - clean version is the MV and the explicit version is the "정국 (Jung Kook) 'Seven (feat. Latto)' Official Performance Video" so pick your poison..... For silver spoon/Baepsae please please please watch it with the DKDKTV explanation as you did with DDaeng. The song has A LOT of cultural references and you will need to hear an explanation. There is no official music video but the dance practice they did to the song is hugely popular, quite fun and goofy - you'll find it with eng subs if you type "BTS 'Silver Spoon (Baepsae)' mirrored Dance Practice!" thank you, looking forward to it!

    I appreciate so much your reactions to BTS 💜. You are my favorite bts reactor, cuz it just feels so genuine, and youre not afraid to tell us when a song isnt to your liking. Either way you appreciate the craft and time put into their mvs and lyrics, and thats whats important. Other reactors are so over the top with their reactions and they dont even pay that much attention to the lyrics, sometimes it just feels like its for the views.
    Cant wait for your reaction to seven by Jk, he's my bias and very talented indeed.

    Don't know where to start to react to your reaction. LOL. Love it. Period. Everything you said. When MV used to be an event... I grew up with MTV when it was about music videos and we knew when they would release and we'd rush home from school to see the new videos that had substance and effort! Every mv for BTS is such an experience! Love you reacting to their old stuff...this (and especially Dope) when they were were still babies singing about their youth. They are so versatile and fun. Can't wait for you to react to Taylor's Guide to BTS I really think you will love it and it will help as you navigate this next chapter of your journey. Bapesae (Silver Spoon) YES! Make sure you check out the explanation video for that though. It is one with unserious choreo and super serious topic about class disparities and injustice. ❤‍🔥

    I love the fact that you don’t shy away from saying if a song is not to your taste! Too many reactors fear “army” without understanding that we only go after you if you’re hateful (racist, homophobic, etc). Your genuine reaction is why we watch these videos. There’s no point if you’re just gonna say you loooove everything without any reasons...! And tbh Fire isn’t 100% my cup of tea either and I’m still 1000% Army :)

    I've watched a few of your bts reactions and always got the feeling you were honest but I really loved this. I appreciate when people just straight up state when something is not to their liking instead of hyping every song! And I loved the parts that you appreciated nonetheless! It honestly took me longer than you to be mature enough to see that music I don't like does not equal bad music but just music that is not to my taste but probably is perfect for someone else :D

    The ultimate work-out song right here. They're asking the sleeping youth to get burned up with passion and live their lives without fear. Club videos usually have DJ's spinning a deck but they iron their clothes and play with the stove with fiery passion 😆 this song never fails to get me dancing and while simple is still a great message.

  • @TheRozhea

    The majority of their music has full choreos, I could literally spend whole weeks just watching their dancing and live performances. If you're curious, they usually have choreo/dance practice videos that show the movements more cleanly.
    As for song recommendation 🤔: Rain or Home
    Thanks for the video & stay safe n healthy 💜

  • @anARMY-c3x
    @anARMY-c3x ปีที่แล้ว +1

    YAY silver spoon! I predict you’ll really enjoy it. It draws on a Korean idiom so a lyric video won’t help you with it!
    The explainer video others are pointing you to (DK something) is really a great way to watch it because it’s over their dance practice. Apparently that dude hasn’t consistently been awesome toward BTS/ARMY but his explainer is great.
    Maybe you could watch a baepsae live performance with Eng subs first then the explainer or something, so you can hear the music by itself and also appreciate how they demonstrate with their bodies how they feel about the silver spoons. 😼
    Also the video for Seven made me laugh SO much. Would be fun to see your reaction since you know them less.
    Finally, since you liked the forewords, RM’s Wildflower MV has the coolest fireworks I’ve ever seen in my whole damn life (and I’m older than you).
