  • Giuseppe Conte says cases of the the Covid-19 virus in Italy have risen dramatically in the past two days. The prime minister told a press conference Italy would not try to suspend the Schengen treaty as such a measure would be disproportionate. Schools in Milan will be closed, however, and people will not be allowed in and out of affected areas. Social and sporting events in Lombardy and Veneto have also been cancelled. As of Sunday morning, there were 89 confirmed coronavirus cases in Lombardy - with two in its industrial centre, Milan - 16 in Veneto, three in Piedmont - including two in Turin - and two in Emilia-Romagna

I believe that if our European partners would perform as many tests as we do the number of infected would rise in all the continent. All EU kept using thermoscanner for weeks, even after it was well known that the virus has a long incubation time. Now, I say, let's all be careful and, without panic, let's protect ourselves and avoid to travel if not REALLY necessary. Greetings from an Italian hospital NMT.

Well,France also has many tourists, in fact it is the first country in Europe for numbers of tourists (at least in 2019), according to this reasoning, France should have double the number of cases of counting, the blame on why Italy is the country more affected by the virus goes to shitty politicians who have been too slow to react in time, for now, northern Italy is put under quarantine, hoping that the virus will not spread throughout the peninsula.

Wuhan residents' first international destination is Thailand and they are not travelling for one month. The outbreak right now means they picked up the virus in early Feburary when All Chinese stayed put. The outbreak is due to community spread and someone from an unknown country, if not the Taiwan family travelled to Italy who are confirmed. The favorite desitination for Chinese people is France, while in france, half the Covid19 patiens are Brits, who got the virus from another Brit who got the virus in Singapore...

Answer this one: How come China is having a hard time finding candidates for clinical trials of Remdesivir? The medication was shown to be effective in treating the very first US coronavirus patient. How is it possible that in China, which has by far the highest infection rate, they can't find 200 patients to treat? How is that even possible? I predict Remdesivir will be proven effective to treat this virus, but it will be most effective when given early. Demand for this drug is going to go through the roof.

The checks in our country have been strengthened with "swabs" to check the certainty of the virus instead of measuring the temperature as is done in the other countries at the airport.. This is why so many infections have occurred so far.. If all the nations had more targeted checks as here in Italy at this hour the infected would be many but many more. Kisses from Italy
