Thats My cousin, Matt, one of the Slim Shadys. My whole family was gathered together at my Grandparents to watch, Not knowing who Eminem really was. All we knew was that Matt had a huge battle with his parents and ran away to NYC to pursue his acting dreams. His parents were upset , but before long he called , said he was gonna be on TV ! But he had to dye his hair Blonde. My aunt and uncle didnt approve, but Matt was The star of our local playss, sang in the church choir, so we expected something like that. but something like that. So the whole family was ibuzzing-MTV was pretty wild my cousins and I were having so much fun, not sure what to expect, just that it was a musical number, and it was live, so we had to pay attention. So, When Eminem startedwith all the Shadys lined upout on the street , it took a minute before my cousin yelled " Blonde Hair?! Is this his part? " The grown ups didnt know WHAT to think- My uncle said " what IS all this? A CULT? " Then All my cousins screamed, " THERE HE IS! LOOK ITS MATT!!" It was then that I realized my cousin was the coolest person I'd ever know. It was surreal seeing the Army of Shadys march inside , through the aidience and take over - it was SO over the top and felt like a legendary moment being made. It was so perfect because Matt had nearly been disowned- his parents thought We may never see him again that NYC would turn him into a druggie or gay or something. And there he was part of THIS INCREDIBLE MOMENT. In church that Sunday there were MANY opinions, but I was proud Matt had the courage of his convictions. It sounds corny, but it was like his destiny- He' s had a long eventful career in NYC and this was the start of it all. Great memory and its so fun to see again. Eminem is the best symbol for being true to yourself and living life by your own rules . Glad in 2024, he's still going strong. As dark as he can be, his message of being true to yourself a, being honest and persevering is positive and empowering.
I've been waiting so much for Eminem reactions again bc it just shows that difference in level of him to what other artist are even doing at top of their game now, and EM live is exact same if not better live the 3 times I seen him.
I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Em in concert THREE TIMES!🍀First time was when Recovery dropped 🔥AMAZING! He’s still top of his game, he just keeps better - THEE GOAT FOREVER!🐐 Peace ☮️ from Ireland ☘️
I’ve seen Eminem live in concert twice in his classic years. Once when he first dropped TES and the next when he dropped Encore. Man, early Em didn’t give a fuck. It’s funny, looking back and comparing him to more modern day Em, a lots changed. He’s no longer outlandish. He’s more technical now. But I loved the early years, Em was so much fun. When Em was even younger than me, he has already sold more than 30 million units, had 3 classic albums, joint venture on 50 with Dre, Em’s top 1 of ALL time. He’s the definition and standard barer of “GOAT”.
I was 10yrs old when I watched this Live on TV. I’ve been a real Eminem head and hip hop fan since a real kid. Happy I was born exactly in 1990. And that my parents allowed me listen to anything I wanted. My first a DMX cassette tape. In 1997. Then I heard eminem and I was over.
I’ve seen Eminem live once and it was literally the highlight of my entire LIFE. Before phones recording and people not paying attention - we were all just in the moment. The Epicenter 2010 Festival. It was the best thing in the world.

@@jdkilpatrick2000 it was such a moment to me I think because I am gay and I’d been give so much bs about Em being this or that and to have one of the worlds most well know gay icons on stage with him proved that wasn’t the case (or at least for me it did).
The part of that whole experience that sticks out the MOST in my mind was when all the slim shadys started standing up in the massive crowd and one by one..appearing in the aisles...and all had white shirts...and I think red caps...but young men and women all dressed casual in the formal setting...they may have had slim shady name tags too..but it was the strange way they interrupted the host by sheer numbers in clothing out of place...and then the back beat of the song played quietly in the background on repeat...getting louder and louder..until hundreds of slim Shays filled the place...this part is after that, If memory serves..
Saw this live on tv at the time. It was epic. No high-speed internet back then so MTV music awards were huge for the teens at the time. This one and the performance he did with elton john at the grammys to prove he didnt hate gay people and gave everyone the finger at the end. Then when whoever wins best music at the oscars usually performs. He blew it off and didnt go. I wish Em was still doing crazy shit and saying off the wall stuff. We need it right now with all this sensitive horse shit going on. But he's calmed down in his old age and goes into hermit mode when he's not dropping an album. I guess he got tired of being in the spotlight.
I mean sensitive ppl are just sensitive they are not a problem in your everyday life. but going out of your way and saying ridiculous stuff just to provoke is even worse. You're just saying it to get attention. And Em gets hate by not saying anything or doing anything. And he don't care what ppl like or dislike he just live and let live. If he goes and shit on younger generation then he'd just look bad and grumpy and get trolled even more. just like he did to older ppl at that time.. Let the man live in peace. someone said on Twitter their mom saw him at a grocery store, he had the hat on and tried looking unbothered and kept the head low
I appreciate talent in music even if it's not my thing. He's a gifted artist any way you cut it. I enjoy your videos because you go outside YOUR comfort zone and appreciate all musical talent. That's true Intelligence. 👍🏼

I watched this as it happened on tv just like alot of us. One of the last real eras in hip-hop.
Man I remember my 1st time seeing em live was on the up in smoke tour 20+ years later saw him live at the Superbowl & he still killing it
I went to the Cincinnati show Up In Smoke best concert EVER
u was in the up in smoke tour!? man u goated for that one. cant get better than that as long as hip hop is concerned.
I’m 50 Shaq and I promise you the streets was empty for this much anticipated performance!
He’s still top of his game, he just keeps better - THEE GOAT FOREVER!🐐
Peace ☮️ from Ireland ☘️
Seen Eminem twice live and both were the best live shows I’ve ever been to 🔥
I’ve seen Eminem live once and it was literally the highlight of my entire LIFE.
Before phones recording and people not paying attention - we were all just in the moment.
The Epicenter 2010 Festival.
It was the best thing in the world.
How do you always make a video I’ve seen like a million times THAT much more enjoyable???
Love u bro and love to see you shinin keep on growin
Was great to see this again thats proof on stage with him RIP
These were the days that made my childhood 🔥
I cant believe I got to see him live in concert in 2017, hopefully will see him live again one day 🙏
His music has been awful since 2004 sadly
@@Bynxandethan not true. His old music tho is just to good to top. That’s why people don’t like his new music.
I make entertaining videos just like No Life Shaq. I bet 100% it’ll make u laugh. If not you can come to tell me bro.
@@BigDaddy-jk6yt it really is true dude. The music hw releases now is so cringey and off putting. Hes either doing terrible pop rap or spitting some of the most corny bars you can listen to. He hasn't made a great album since the Eminem show. Have you heard revival? You can't tell me that's a good album
@@Bynxandethan music to be murdered by is a good album and so is kamikaze... you guys get mad at him when he doesn’t collab with new artists but as soon as he does he apparently sucks?
Man I was 29 when this come out and it was mind blowing then and just as Shaq said its LEGENDARY! This was one of those performances you won't ever forget, right up there with Prince at the Superbowl or MJ doing the moonwalk for the first time during the Motown special. Those clone EMs walking through NYC into Radio City Hall that left its mark on the music world back then and it was really great to see you appreciate it today! I love your reactions to Em they are so genuine and is what brought me to your channel to begin with about 3 yrs ago back around when you hit your 100k
I been lucky enough to see em live in 99, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2018 and he sounds the same in every show and he does everything live. That man is a true performer
This was literally the first Em song I heard , my dad was playing it in his bedroom stereo and I got hooked immediately
My twin sister went to NYC for the first time the day of the VMAS in 2020 and She ended up seeing this Eminem performance. She loved it.
I went to ems concert in Glasgow a few years ago, he sounded exactly like he sounds on his albums it was amazing.
Man I love ya Shaq still as much as sub 25k! Still cracking me up consistently and spreading the love. I remember watching this live on TV only because he was going to own the show. I remember where I was and who was there. A bunch of blown away people. God bless him and God bless you too! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I love how Fred durst and Carson daily were there and the hand shake with Carson was the icing on the cake😂
EM is the greatest rapper alive!! No 🧢
Umm.. One of the greats actually, there are other Goats like Pac, biggie, redman, Big L , Andre 3000, Ice cube, dr dre, snoop dogg, Dmx, Eazy E and many other more
@@denniskinose9958 he said alive and em is arguably better than all of the one you’ve listed
No debating I’ll like to see someone name somebody better…..Wayne up there to but em is above it all
You caught up in your emotions, reminiscent of back in the day. That was over 20ys ago, oldhead. Actually, half of M&M catalog is corny af!
@@yo3rdtier128 em is a monster and eats mc's for breakfast. Not to mention he is white so they gonna hate he on top the rap game. Its harder for em than it is for lil wayne and others.
Blew me away when I watched this live on the MTV awards.
Eminem=the original uncancelable legend.💯🔥
Wasn't having the best day then I saw Shaq dropped. Love as always my friend, constant entertainment.
Yes 🙌
Bring back Em Reactions 😁plz
… yeah, I actually remember watching this live on tv ( I wish live live) I was 22 yrs old. Time flies … lol
I seen this live....man I was so hyped...
You know what's funny my earliest childhood memory that I can remember was this performance 😅🤣remember watching it on the t.v live
@@Thetalinshow Hell yeah...but the first performance was in 99'...Dre and Snoop was on stage...Shady fan for life
This was a classic, I remember this coming out...
Hi love the vids the vibe you give in your reactions keep it up
I make entertaining videos just like No Life Shaq. I bet 100% it’ll make u laugh. If not you can come to tell me bro.
I get goosebumps listening to this last part of his performance cause u hearing it in his voice how he's hurting 💔 at that time #eminemmusic I love ❤ u always bro.. keep killing em and Condolences to ur friend who passed away 🙏
The joy on your face is just heart warming man. Love you and love Em !
Let's go more eminem been a while if I remember right need more eminem
Thanks for all you do Shaq, love the videos and reactions, keep it up. You're my favorite reaction personality, and honestly your amazing attitude puts a smile on the face every time.
I was lucky enough to see EM live in Nijmegen, The Netherlands in 2018 🇳🇱. Along with 2chainz, Royce, Mr porter. It was a legendary summer evening. That I’ll never forget. What a show!
Seen him countless times live in the UK, always sounds the exact same as his albums... no lip sync. He is one of the greats for a reason, legendary for good reason.
2000...........22 years ago....... man im feeling old AF💯💯😂😂🤣🤣🤣
2000s was a great time of rap music
Em went hardd on it
Still goes hard on it
Always is harddddd on it💥💥💥💥💥💯💯💯
This performance got so much attention John Cena did his own version at Wrestlemania with about 200 look a likes. It's a wild visual.
I’ve seen it all 🤦♂️ it makes me feel old. And today is legit my birthday 🥳 lol but I remember this like it was yesterday. I loved my childhood 🤣👏🏻
Bruhhhhh, I remember exactly where I was when I saw this on TV that night!!! We were on vacation at the beach and my husband (now) and I were going CRAZY bc it was so innovative, ballsy and fresh...just like Em 😂 He really gave zero Fks rapping right in their faces 🤣💯🔥👏 Forever a legend, pioneer and THE G.O.A.T 🐐
This and his ‘Stan’ performance with Elton John are my two all time never forgets!!!
I remember watching that live back in the day, and remember the shock of Elton’s reveal.
Em’s third verse in that live performance was *amazing*. 🤯 Gives me goosebumps every time I hear/see it. And then I get the warm and fuzzies when they hug at the end. 😂
@@jdkilpatrick2000 it was such a moment to me I think because I am gay and I’d been give so much bs about Em being this or that and to have one of the worlds most well know gay icons on stage with him proved that wasn’t the case (or at least for me it did).
Yeah I remember watching that live. Loved it. A big f u to everyone hating saying he was a complete homophobe
Legendary performance.. seen this on tv that night
Nolifeshaq on top had to say it once again🖤🚦🔥
Hey I’m a small content creator trying to grow on TH-cam I’m on 1.42k subs
Goal: 10k next year
at 9:52 EM shakes hands with carson daley..AFTER DISSING HIM IN THE LYRICS LOL!!
Finally you react to this masterpiece performance
You should definitely bring back the Eminem reactions!!!
Let's go another banger 🔥
Watching it while it was happening was insane still love it now.
so cold blooded when he hand shakes with carson and say lil bitch to fred durst in his face and leaves him hanging LOL
This was one of the greatest mtv performances‼️🌹
ay man i gotta say, i went to see em live in 2014, one of the best experiences ever, he performs with so much energy, and hearing an entire stadium of people singing along, shit was crazy, we even got an encore at the end an he peformed lose yourself, the whole stadium erupted into screams, was intense.
Shaq i swear man you have to see him live, it is the best experience. I always said i wanted to see him live before i never got the chance and im so happy i did. Im wanting to see him again but covids been a pain in the ass to travel
Seen him in NY few years back with VIP music festival tickets also seen post there was dope
