This is why I always shake my head when I see people on streets screaming at each other: just poor people yelling, beating each other and killing each other. Meanwhile, the rich and powerful are thinking of new ways to squeeze every last penny out of us.

Actually, in the French Revolution...
And honestly many others, the ones that start it are usually rich or well-off themselves.
The French revolution was lead mostly by a Lawyer: Robespierre and a Journalist: Danton. The French Philosophers who inspired it, mostly nobles or rich guys.(Voltaire or Montesquieu who was a baron.)
So...not poor beggars on the street. I think Robespierre was even a noble himself, not sure.
But back on track :
I think that the poor can only follow but not instigate a revolution.
Why ?
Well, when you're hungry, you don't bite the hand that feeds you. Even if it feeds you very little, at least you're fed.
In other words, when you have no money, well you don't wanna make society collapse because that would mean less or even no money.
So what’s the solution? A government always has to have leaders, whether it’s a democracy or kingdom or dictatorship or commune. Someone has to always take charge and be the key point person. My guess is, if given the chance rule people (or manage, as in a work boss), you too would eventually wield power. It’s almost a given. The question is, how much do you allow yourself to BE governed... what are the limits that you entrust a governing party to have.
We all know by know Trump WAY exceeded that limit, to dangerous proportions. And guess what.... it could happen again.
So what’s the solution.

Its not that hard to believe honestly. People are fed up with these corrupt politicians. The idea of someone who was a billionaire and was not part of the establishment was very attractive.

Even the most austere protestant sects see worldly success as a marker of divine favor, and every Church in existence strives to profit off their followers, from the Mormons in Utah to the big P of the big C in the Vatican. So, really, it's not a big surprise that Christians just ignore all the praise of humbleness and poverty in the Gospel. Or put God on money.
