I grew up on these sounds and the heritage singer every friday evening and Sabbath Day . These are the songs that bring strength to my life. Music is life. Thanks for the many years.
Me too. My sisters and I were baptized at an evangelistic crusade back in the 70s where the Heritage Singers were the evangelistic singers for the crusade. I grew up listening to their music, and I still love listening to their music today. It brings back such beautiful memories of Sabbath spent at my aunties' house.
Heritage Singers songs are quite literally timeless and are just as powerful now in 2020 as they were when they were first released, many dating back to the 1970's or earlier. This is Max's legacy, which will continue until the day Jesus comes again.. What a wonderful gift from God he was, and the Heritage Singers continue to be, to the entire world.

@@TMcConnaughhay Hello Tim, "Adventist" is short for Seventh-day Adventist. We are a Protestant Christian denomination with churches, schools and medical facilities around the world. We believe that the Bible should be our guide. One distinguishing characteristic of our faith is the belief that the original seventh day Sabbath was never changed in the Bible. We believe that we can be saved only through the blood of Jesus, by His grace through faith. We also believe that true Christianity is not a relationship with a church or with each other, but must begin and end with a relationship with Jesus. I would invite you to check out Amazingfacts.org and see some of the study guides that cover a wide variety of topics. May God guide your heart. Blessings!
@@victormeliti1886 Thank you for your response. I believe everything you do, but I don't believe in the Old Testament Sabbath Day observance like your church does. I believe it was the custom and day of Holy observance and rest at the time before Christ. I believe that Christ's death and resurrection was the beginning of the Christian Church and they were no longer bound by the laws of the old testament. Also it says in Romans 14 that each man may consider a holy day different from another, but we are to live peaceably and not focus on arguing about such things because they are not what the Kingdom of God is about. As Christians we we should have only one distinguishing thing, and that is we serve a living God and our only job on this earth is to strive to live like Christ and share the good news of His grace and salvation. Freeing, isn't it? :-) All we have to focus on is Love, Peace, and Joy in our Salvation because of Christ. I celebrated the Lords Day on Sunday and you celebrate on Saturday and we must not judge one another about it because Christ died equally for all. There is no exclusivity in the bride of Christ. Blessing to you too!
@@TMcConnaughhay Hi Tim, I can see how one might be led down that path of thought, but consider the following... God ordained the seventh-day as holy at the end of creation week (Gen 2:3). Exodus 16 reveals God's retraining of the Israelites, after their deliverance from Egypt, on the Sabbath with the manna. Moses begins Exodus 20, which is the first instance of the Ten Commandments in scripture, with "And God spoke all these words saying...". If we believe in what Moses wrote, then we have to believe the verses following are directly from the mouth of God. The Sabbath Commandment begins in verse 8 and begins with the word "Remember". The Sabbath Commandment comprises 4 verses, 8-11, which is more than any other commandment. It also comprises more words (in the KJV) than any other commandment. God put serious emphasis on the Sabbath for a reason. In Mark chapters 1 and 6, Jesus went into the synagogue and taught. Luke 4:16 says it even better using the words "as His custom was". Luke 4:31 says Jesus "taught them on sabbath days". Luke 6:6 also tells of Jesus teaching in the synagogue. The reason I cannot abandon the seventh-day Sabbath, is that it was ordained by God and kept by Jesus. If God were going to change it, He would have done so in similar fashion as He instituted it. Jesus would have abolished it as an example to us, but He upheld it and honored it. In death, Jesus rested in the grave over the Sabbath hours. The Sabbath does not save me, only the precious blood of the Lamb does that, but if Jesus is supposed to be my example, then I must observe the Sabbath as originally written. To do otherwise would be picking and choosing which commandments I want to follow and which I do not. Be blessed, brother.
@@victormeliti1886 like I said before, if you want to worship on Saturday, so be it. I am not interested in such a small formality as that because Christ gave him self as our sacrifice once for all so that we would NO LONGER BE BOUND BY THE LAW. We are now free from the law because it only brought about death as we could NOT fulfill it...enter Christ. He went into the synagogues on "Saturday" because that is when the Jews (who were still under the law) went there to hear teachings. It was their custom because Christ had not yet fulfilled the law. Anyway I believe that Christ rose from the dead on a Sunday Morning, and since then all Christians have considered Sunday the Lords day.
and what if it does? God never promised to protect us from sickness and disease. He may chose to spare some but Christians die every day from cancer and other diseases. We must trust Him in ANY situation,. That being said, protect yourself out there and stay safe.

I had been blessed today because i happen to listen to the very inspiring and heart- lifting rendition of the familiar evangelism song "BECAUSE HE LIVES"...The Heritage Singers are a group of well-blended voices..with perfect dynamics executed in a 4 part mixed chorus...their very strong tenor and bass sections truly makes every musical number worth listening....their repertoire of contemporary gospel songs will bring each one to a closer relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ...preaching of His Love..His Joys..His Sacrifices for our sins....and His gift of Eternal Life for all who believe in Him....Thank you God for the mission of these Heritage Singers to mankind...BECAUSE HE LIVES...THEN OUR LIVES ARE WORTH A LIVING........

Because He Lives God sent His son, they called Him Jesus; He came to love, heal and forgive; He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives! Pure and honest blended harmony of voices lifted in praise to our Lord. You don't hear music like this anymore. Now everybody wants to sound like a rock star or like they are in mortal pain, what I call "scream singing". This is music the way it was meant to be heard. This is what groups should go back to sounding like. It's a shame that all of these old videos are not available for those of us that truly love this style of music.

this song is very heart touching
this choir is very interesting . Are these singers still alive? may God continue to bless them and i know that he can do it
I was raised with beautiful heritage songs like this, but somehow I started to listen to Justin beiber and others pop songs and got addicted to it.
😇wonderful .. there is hope😇
