I love love LOVE 9Muses, literally every single one of their title tracks is amazing. I wish they were treated better by their company in every single way and wish the public received them better. Legends!
Words can not describe how much I love 9MUSES. Not long ago I listened to their whole discography and I was speechless. The discography is so diverse. 9MUSES are actually my queens of Kpop because of their music. The vocals are heavenly, the rap duo Euaerin and Eunji is probably one of the best from that time. Their choreos are stuck in your head because of how iconic their moves are. Especially in songs like Ticket and Dolls. Just Iconic. I don't really know how to describe it but 9MUSES just has these songs in their discograohy that you can't get enogh of because of how easy you can listen to them. Songs like OMG and Just A Girl are songs for me that still manage to reach top ranks in my most played songs playlist. And also other songs like the mysterious and haunting song Secret which hits different on the first second you listen to it with its captivating musicality is just insanely well produced and sung. Yes Secret is that song for me. Their title tracks are god tier for sure. Some people would disagree with their debut because of the whole story behind that song and what the girls had been through, but still for me their titles are no skip. No Playboy Figaro News Ticket Dolls Wild Gun Drama Glue Hurt Locker Sleepless Night Remember (기억해) Love City Remember Every song is a bop and although in different ways a very special song. They never sticked to a certain sound. They always had concept changes without losing themselves in their music. The member you pointed out in the MV of Remember is Sojin she was a member added in 2015 so she hasn't been a part in Wild where Euaerin and Eunji were still rapping. The MV for Remember is a masterpiece with a song that adds so much zo the video. Soooo good I'm sorry I can’t praise them enough. They wen't through a lot. I'm sure there are websites with their history to find more information. Their is also this documentary about 9MUSES on YT. You just need to search "9MUSES doku" and you will find it. It is very shocking bit it judt shows the daily life for many idols I guess. Thanks for the reaction. It's very rare to see a 9MUSES reaction pop up. Thank you
@@KpopPrince Now months after I watched the docu i still feel weird seeing the dance practices in their practice room. It must be so hard form them to remember the hardships and perform there as if nothing happened
They did have some lineup changes, but I'd say that the most well known and maintained one is the 'Wild' one. It went from Figaro, News, Ticket, Dolls, Wild, Gun, to Glue (They did add 3 members through these comebacks but they didn't lose any).
Hurt Locker is my favorite from 9Muses, it's got some emotion in it. No real story line, but the sets really fit with the lyrics and song title. Sleepless Night is amazing too. More of a story with this one.
9Muses actually held the title of "Model Idols," because every member from debut to disbandment were former models and pageant winners. 9Muses faced a lot of backlash due to their overly sexy concept that many found distasteful, and because of the number of members. At this time Girls' Generation was the only group to have 9 members, and many Koreans felt that 9 was solely Girls' Generation's number. Many also felt that 9Muses was trying to challenge Girls' Generation, but this wasn't true
The members of 9Muses seen in the "Wild," MV are Hyuna, Lee Sem, Sera, Euaerin, Eunji, Sungah, Kyungri, Hyemi, and Minha. This line-up is one most are familiar with since the group released a majority of their top hits with this line-up. The members in "Remember," are Kyungri, Hyemi, Sojin, and Keumjo. Sojin and Keumjo were added to the group in 2015 after another member change.
I was watching your A.C.E's video reactions, and saw 9MUSES and had to watch it too!!! I'm going to cry. 9MUSES was my favorite girl group back then. Their songs, vocals, choreos, visuals... everything was perfect to me. You have just unlocked old memories... ahhh Thank you!!
Omg I’m so glad you checked out 9muses. They recently reunited(well most of them) on some show and preform dolls which is also a bop. You should check it out.
Yeah I did send you Wild and Remember because they're my two favorites. I think Wild is one of the best choruses of all time in kpop. But Remember really is a different kind of special shit. Its really kind of fun watching everyone see it, especially if they're doing a run through of Namyu mvs because they all have the same reaction. I think its utterly masterful in the way it has this very obvious gravitas. Its like people unanimously think "maybe I should shut up and get serious for a second" lol. I think you're dead on, one of the prevailing theories is that its a grooming storyline and the members are the girl at different stages of her life. Its the theory I subscribe to, anyways. Namyu were absolutely a group of models, you are correct. Sort of like the SF9 of girl groups back then since you watched Kingdom lol. They're also a bunch of Amazonians, I think Sera was their shortest or one of them and shes 5'7" lmao. Would absolutely recommend Hurt Locker, Ticket, Gun, Figaro.... basically they had no misses. Would also love to give a shoutout to Hyemi (4:28, 9:06, 9:39 forest scene), who was the only member there from beginning to end. What a fuckin trooper. The rapper who's voice you loved was Sojin.
I loved 9muses, they deserved so much better. Both from their company and just from the public. They never got a music show win and by the time they disbanded, not counting the final lineup for 4 members they had gone through I think an additional 10 or something. Only one member was there from beginning until the end. They had really great music but just never latched onto any big success. They were very well known for their looks but people didn't support the music. I personally really like Dolls, Figaro, and Sleepless Night though I agree with what several other comments have said, every one of their title tracks was worth listening to.
wild is one of my fav kpop songs and mvs ever!!! remember is excellent too :) they were known as the supermodel girl group bc they were super tall and also major visuals. they were maaaajorly talented and i miss them sm ;w; in the wild mv, the girl at the start you said was sera is actually kyungri. sera in wild is the one with the whip + the pervert shirt 😂 the rapper with the voice you liked is sojin! she joined in 2014.
My favourites are News and Gun but I'm not sure that they have any other mvs that match the storytelling of Remember. Personally I love a catchy song with a great choreo but you seem to need that different level of artistry to enjoy it. If it's not for you that's totally fine! Sweetune's productions just always hit the spot for me.
