What’s your biggest fear in the woods? Mine is other people. Give me noisy nature and ghost stories any day! Have a wonderful Christmas, Wild Ones! ♥🎅♥🎅♥
People for sure. And i have a very vivid imagination that I have to battle every now and then to get a good night's sleep, I enjoy that part of me though, keeps me focused and I learn something about myself every time there's a struggle;)
Agree. One wild camped outside a village in the South Downs Way, and the village lunatic took a dislike to me during an evening meal at the local pub. At around 3am my tent got slashed and I pretty much ran away with just the clothes I had on. When I got back in the morning, my stuff had been trashed!

Yeah but he dint, she moved deeper into the area off the beaten track that she'd camped several times before & felt at home doing it.....she had a good (late) dinner and a great night sleep.....as she said in the vid..... 'Ul' east yorkshire.
One of my girlfriends had her brother and one of his friends both of whom have very deep voices record an audio. So if someone gets too close she played it and it would sound like one or beefy guys were camping not a solo girl. It saved her on two occasions from unwanted attention
Hi. I left UK for Canada back in 81. I am now in my late 60's but like to get out for a few days moto camping during the summer months. When I saw the rice pudding and jam, memories of my grandmother came flooding back. She made the best rice pudding. Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2024. Keep up the good work.
Ahh that's so nice, I bet it was delicious ❤ Canada looks so amazing! I love to read about Canada & Alaska adventures. I hope I can visit one day. So much Wild. Thank you for watching and have a lovely Christmas 🎅

@sideshow4417 I don't know about that, n9t sure what you mean tbh, all I see is a polarised society, and it's growing due to the work of career politicians... I try to stay away from that bs as much as possible, that's why I pack my bag every chance I get and go enjoy the simplicity of nature's overwhelming complexity;)
I light my Trangia alcohol stove here in Sweden on winter in well below 0°C. I use a match and just drop it in. It lights! Good you moved, even as a male, I don't like being seen while camping.
I, for one, am really glad you are careful around others in the wild. Thank you for being safe. I think all your fans feel the same way. Every new video I see from you makes you more endearing an fun to watch. Thank you for all you have done for me personally, I wish I could share my story with you some day. Take care.
Hi Claire I have the first version of this tent and wild camp in the UK. To make it stealthy my daughter who is in the army gave me the idea of dabbing on army camo face grease. You can buy a 3 colour pack of camo grease for about £8. Green, Brown and Sand I think. One to two packs is all you need. Lay out your fly sheet flat over an old bed sheet on the driveway. Take 3 small rags, one for each colour. With a rag dab the grease in a creative camo pattern of your choosing over the outside of the fly, not too heavy initially and do one tent face at a time. NOTE you can always built up depth of colour at a later date. Once you've got your desired camo pattern down get a third clean larger rag and rub it all over the whole area to soften the effect, take off excess grease and blend the edges of the 3 colours to the background fly sheet colour. Your new camo effect tent is ready to go immediately! The slight grease paint smell wears of after a few days. Does it harm the tent material? Mine is now 2yrs old with no noticeable detrimental effect. In fact the grease only helps the tents water proofing and if it's tested as safe for your sensitive skin I reckon it's got to be OK on the fly sheet material. Please let me know what you think. Happy to send pics of my camo tent design if you wish. Great video content, keep it up.
Hi Claire just seen I got a message says you want to talk ref my comment to you Durston tent camo treatment perhaps? But not sure how to get in touch as requested. Grey hair and older years. Any help with contacting you would be good. Only too willing to explain my camo treatment. Philip
Hmmm this is a really interesting idea, the main thing keeping me away from Duston Tents is the bright colors, I much prefer my Khaki brown Lanshan. Might try this out on an old waterproof jacket to test the concept.
Yes I tried out the army camo treatment first on my Durston tent stuff sack. It's the same material as the tent. But yes the camo should apply to most fabrics. Just remember to smooth out and rub off any excess camo grease with a second clean cloth.
You can just buy 2 or 3 meters of woodland camo nylon from a roll and sew loops on the corners then use it as a screen with some sticks or convenient trees and a line holding it up to disguise your tent from the most likely viewpoint.
Hi feral the hedger here,I'm with you on the people thing, I've done a lot of my road life alone,I love my solitude, stealth is the key,it's why I like my army basher tarp,(not lightweight)but worth it for the durability,I'm to old school, even with my foam matt, tryed and trusted over years,I love the vid, shame about having to move, but better to be safe,it creeps me out even now and I've been out 33yrs,better when you know your alone.here's to 2024,good health and cheer's!!!
She holds that camera high sometimes so we are looking down on her, making her look small and fragile. I just want to fold her into my arms and protect. But she knows the outdoors and would save any one of us when we got into trouble!
I love it that you do these things. It's such a shame that you have to be fearful of other people but I think that you were right to move. I recently hiked a bit of a long distance trail. I passed a few camping spots because I was heading for a little town and needed food. I was exhausted when I got there so checked out some places in a park where I could tuck my tent away and I waited until it got darkish and put the tent up in a little patch of trees. Before I finished putting it up I had a little welcoming commitee of dog walkers. I thought I was in trouble but they were lovely. Offering to make me food etc. In the early morning I made my coffee on a park bench and people kept stopping and chatting. One elderly gentleman told me how a walker had come off the trail during a cricket match and they had allowed him to use the pavillion showers and let him sleep in there overnight. Having said all that you are absolutely right to be cautious. That person standing there watching you was a bit creepy.
Aw that's really lovely :) yeh im no stranger to people walking about in the woods, there's no getting away from it down south. But I've not had someone stand there staring for ages as it got dark haha.. bit unnerving Thanks for watching and have a lovely Christmas :) 🎅
I have done my years of tent camping, tarp camping and hammock camping. I now have a slide in pop up camper on my custom flatbed truck. Bathroom with shower , kitchen , dinette and a queen size bed. We hang out under the awning until bed time and have the option of switching on the heater if it gets to nippy outside. When a storm blows up we sleep right through it. No fear of tipping over or blowing away as the truck with camper weighs in at slightly over 10,000 lbs. (5 tons.) My only fear is drunk idiots or possibly a huge branch falling on us but that goes along with any camping trip in the woods. Your videos really show how it is the simplest of things that bring the most joy. Making a hot beverage and meal on the spot. Very nice. Very cozy.
Hi Dan! A few people in the comments have mentioned you, you've made an impressive tent :D I've since tested it in bad weather and was amazed.. it did not budge even with the guys off 👏 Would you not consider making it in a stealthy colour? This tent in a colour that blends in could be the ultimate for lightweight trips 😍
@@WildBeare Thanks! I do get requests for a more stealthy color - especially from the UK with more requirements to blend in. I tried to accomplish that with the 'Solid' version that is the same tent but has solid fabric instead of mesh for the inner and is the most popular in the UK. That is a darker green but the color come out lighter/brighter than I hoped (polyester is hard to dye so it often comes out lighter). I am working on an update for that and in mid-2024 we will be updating the Solid version to be darker yet. Still not super stealthy but heading in that direction. - Dan
@durstongear amazing, I was torn whether to get the solid for the colour or the pro for the lightness. I went with the pro as I've never tried a DCF tent before. I've a feeling I'm gonna love the functionality but dislike the look of it (I always think DCF tents look like a screwed up grocery bag haha) I'll keep an eye out for something darker in future, we do need to blend in in the UK because we have ridiculous authoritarian rules here. And just generally being out solo on our heavily populated lil island, it feels more secure to be able to hide 👀
Great review , I will give this and the pro version a look. At 70 years the ease and versatility of set up are very appealing. Stay safe out there glad you relocated.
Thanks George (great name by the way, I named my son that) ❤ Mm yes it's so easy, much less faffy than my previous trekking pole tents. I have actually ordered the pro version, which is currently on its way from Canada. It'll be my first DCF tent and I'm hoping we'll get some nice weather in the summer for a super lightweight trip :D 🤞 Have a great Christmas 🎅
The great thing about Durston tents is they're designed by Dan Durston who is a backpacker. He's also really good at listening to owners who suggest tweaks to the design. And he will either incorporate them if it's doable without compromising the overall design, or ignore them if it does, or if it will add a bunch of weight, or the tweak simply doesn't make sense for manufacturing. Good you moved. People can be a bit creepy sometimes, even if they're simply curious about what they're seeing.
Ahh really, I didn't know that :D I'm very impressed so far, I just wish it were stealthier 👀 yes it's likely curiosity I think, still unnerving. Have a great Christmas! 🎅
@@WildBeare i love this tent, best tent i ve ever had. but i got the xmid 1p solid. it is a nice green and a lot stealthier than the grey one. perhaps you can still change it to that. also it should be a bit better in the harsh winds where you live, cause it got less mesh and instead a solid half height on the inner tent. and perhaps get the MSR groundhog stakes, they are much better than the stakes included here. i wish you also a great Christmas!
@@django8395 @WildBeare I agree, I have the X-Mid 2 Solid and swapped the stakes out straight away, and the solid is a darker sage green.. Awesome tent and surprisingly storm worthy.. Having seen your troubles with the Lanshan's, I know you will love it.. In fact, I'm almost certain i commented that you should look at the X-Mid in one of your Lanshan Videos.
I thought i would comment saying you did the right thing moving and being cautious and staying safe but before i did my comment i read some of the previous postings and my how we care about you, lots of us saying the same thing... there is some good people out there.
Three cheers for "Floofy!" Thank you for the few moments of peace that you bring to our lives, Claire! I hope you know just what that means to us all! 😊❤ Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Claire, you need some form of protection with you. MACE would be easy to use. A flashlight with a tactical mode would be outstanding. I have a Fenix that has 4 levels of brightness plus the tactical setting. The tactical setting has an extremely bright light that flashes very fast and messes with the brain - it completely blinds the opponent. It is lithium rechargeable and holds the charge for hours. You will be using a flashlight at night anyway so please consider it.
Claire, thanks for another fun video. Great review of your new lightweight tent. Looking forward to the foul weather test. I am sorry you had to abandon your original pitch, but I am so glad you did! Trust your gut, as they say. Strangers in the woods are my least favorite creature.
Weather is my biggest fear. We can get tornadoes or hail storms over here in Texas. A couple of those hail storms had hail the size of grapefruit.😳 Love your work. You're Awesome!
Woww that's nuts! How scary! I imagine those hail storms would be catastrophic out in the middle of nowhere 🫨 Bless you thanks! Have a great Christmas 🎅
I have the same problem - other people - not a big fan - I feel so much safer in the Mountains high up in the Lakes than woods. That road noise would not sit with me too noisy lol. Wishing you a Happy safe Xmas, and looking forward to watching you in 2024
Yep I agree, I feel so much safer in the mountains! Run into either other hiking/camping types or no one at all, bliss! No telling who you might run into in the woods close to towns and cities. I hate the road noise too. Thank you so much, hope you have a lovely one too :)
i have a friend in America and i have had him buy one of these for me my daughter is visiting him in January and bringing it back for me after seeing your video i cant wait to use it.
Greetings from Virginia, USA. This is a great tent. I have the XMID-2P and wind-tested and rain-tested it AT. When I purchased mine two years ago, it did not come with same stakes you have. Mine came with 6 V-Shaped Stakes and 4 Shepherd Hooks. I did not like the V-Shaped Stakes so I ordered the 7.5-inch MSR Groundhog Stakes that work wonderfully. I use the Shepherd Hooks to stake down the vestibule doors. I also have the "Stargazer" Kit that allows me to easily set up the tent without the rainfly. My biggest fear are people who seem to be around where you think no people are around and they impose themselves on your privacy and space. Or, who have been drinking and are out on the trails. Asking 1000 questions. Another fear is what I will do to them if they exhibit aggressive behavior. I will be forced to protect myself. That in itself can ruin an otherwise great adventure. I never worry about bears, coyotes, and other creatures of the woods.
Cool tent. I can see why it has become so popular. Cant wait to see you put it thru your storm testing. Love your videos. You will not he afraid of a little weather, just people.
You are one safe but happy camper Claire. You made the correct decision that bloke was standing and looking back which to me isn't a good sign. Have a Wonderful and Safe Christmas followed by a Fabulous New Year .. go camping more in '24. Bushyboy Oz.
Heyy, mm he was standing there for quite a few minutes, looking, and seemingly peering from behind a tree. I'm sure he was just curious but it made me feel quite on edge especially with the sun going down Thank you I hope you have a great one too! Merry Christmas 🎅
Glad I live in rural Wales, when at times if it wasn’t for the vapour trails of planes and the odd distant noise of a farmers quad bike, I could feel the only man alive. Merry Christmas. X
Thanks for showing us your new tent will be good to see how it holds up in bad weather, it was creepy that the guy who was hanging around didn't blame you for moving to another spot. Merry Christmas to you Claire and your family 🙂
If your trangia type burner is to cold to light then just use a small strip of tissue paper like a wick but leaning on the side and light it. I've used that method and it works without having to warm up the fluid.
I'm glad you are liking the durston as much as me. I often go solo back packing with my dog and there is so much room for the dog and I in the 2 person version
I can so relate. Once I got totally spooked when the moon rose and I thought it was a farmer’s tractor lights. It took me a while to figure it out. Then when I did I felt like a total moron.
Yep, I can definitely deal with anything from Mother Nature and wild critters, my biggest fear is other people (that I don't know). Thanks for Sharing 🤩
Was thinking the colour was a bit stand outish more so this time of year but also being good for somebody upto 6ft4 that counts me out then 🤣. Look forward to seeing the bad weather test in the mean time Claire Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year x
Nice video! Rain, storm, ice and snow...You, Claire can handle it all! I wish you all the best! And yes, looking forward to a new video, when you have time!
That's so creepy! I got spotted by a dog and his walker once but I didn't get a bad feeling about the guy so I stayed without anything going wrong. Always trust your gut, your guy was weird!
Interesting video Clare. I used my Xmid solid in the Welsh black mountains in gales. It stood up ok but Im adding the additional guys for peace of mind. Also the weakest link is the std pegs. If you use better pegs and double peg the 4 corners it takes a battering even without the guys. I take 4 msr cyclone stakes for storm camping which are awesome combined with groundhogs
you were right thinking about your safety 👍 glad you liked the new tent and it packs away so small. I cant remember the last time I had rice pudding and jam. Merry Christmas Claire and look forward to your adventures next year.
Merry Christmas Claire to you and your son and I want to thank you for the hard work that you have provided for us to watch this year with your videos. Hugs and kisses.
I would encourage you to maybe think about getting a Tent that is camouflage. One hard to see at first glance because like other's are saying that was creepy. The dude just stood there staring and it a good thing he didn't see you being a Beautiful young lady out in the woods who knows what someone like that could do. So stay safe out there and don't let fear stop you from bring Joy to your followers as well as yourself. God Bless....
I really like your video's thank you for filming your adventure I think your going to be really happy with this tent . I have watched other people use it in rain and it even held up in snow
Congrats on the new tent Claire! The Durston X-Mid is a winner for sure 👍 Can't wait to see your extreme weather adventures using it. And wow... that dude by your camp was just pure creepiness! Glad that you ended up moving on and having an enjoyable remainder of your trip 😊 Wishing you a very Merry Christmas my friend! 🌲🎅 Stay wild... (and safe) 🐻 -John
Hey John! Yehh I'm really impressed with it so far, seems great I just can't get on with the colour 🤔 Mm it puts me right on edge that.. I don't like to be seen pitching anyway but when someone hangs around looking I get worried they might come back later, or they're a jobsworth wanting to report me or something. Never know in these parts. Deffo prefer stealthier tents haha Merry Christmas to you, hope you have a wonderful one too friend ❤️🎅
Finally got my hands on the Cnidaria 1 solid, it’s dark green babie, but more traditional, bit more stealthy. Keep up the good show, camera, lights, action. You know, mood lite❤
Hey my lovely wild friend!! I didn’t expect to like this tent but I actually really do! Such a great first look so thank you for sharing this with us! I’m so glad you moved away from the weirdo lurker, safety first and I’m just glad you were ok! Love my little cameo, thank you so much!!! 🩷💜🩵
Heyy, mm its great isn't it, I just wish it was more stealthy! 👀 Ooh I've bad-weather tested it since and it's far superior to our Lanshan 2's.. much prefer the colour of the Lanshans though haha. Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas! Miss you loads ❤️🎅
@@WildBeare hopefully they will consider doing a different more stealthy colour! Thank you lovely, you too! I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful Christmas with all your loved ones! 🥰
@@ksgonewilddan durston said the cost and technique of dyeing the fabric would be difficult and uneconomical. So they’re staying that colour unfortunately
@mrb.9822I have ordered the pro, which will be my first DCF tent, hoping to try a real lightweight trip in the summer. I feel like I need to get the solid for the better colour though haha. Totally agree about feeling exposed
I spent the summer of 1985 backpacking across the Adirondacks in upstate NY. Despite being mostly off trails in deep woods I still encountered people almost every day.
I think most people would be more fearful of a mad brave beautiful woman camping on her own in the woods on her own than walking the streets of london.happy Xmas & a wonderful new year claire😘🤗
Wonderful video as always, it always makes me smile when I come on TH-cam and see you’ve dropped a new video. And I agree, the sound of footsteps while camping is my worst nightmare too haha. Thank you for video, have a lovely Christmas 🎄❤
I've had my Durston X-Mid-1 for over a year. I will tell you it has proven itself many times in the wind and rain. Last winter I awoke to nearly a foot of morning snow. No problem for the tent.
Great little tent, really impressed with mine over 6 days on a charity hike and camp of the West Highland Way in Scotland. I also hung my rucksack on a carabiner on one of the walking poles to keep it off the floor overnight. Hanged my food bag on the other pole. Love your content! Atb Andy
Ahh great, I don't think I've heard a bad word about this tent so far! I wish it was more stealthy but other than that it's really impressive! Thanks for watching, have a lovely Christmas :)
It's awesome isn't it! Well, I have since tested it in bad weather (not storm weather so I can't attest to that yet haha) but a lot of rain and near-gales.. the thing would not budge! I was so surprised! Keep an eye out for that video coming after the next one, very impressed so far. Just wish it were a darker colour
@@WildBeare oh that's awesome!! Can't wait for the video. I was just so impressed with how it's set up. Maybe they will come out with darker versions or camo versions in the future 🤞🤞🤞
This is exactly the same design as a tent I use for camping, little bit of advice get some little pad locks and when you sleep lock the tent from the inside (both sides) and leave the keys inside the pad locks in case you have to get out quickly. It just makes you feel secure knowing no one can just come up and unzip your tent while you sleep.
Thank you for all your wonderful videos I loved seeing this one on the durston tent!! Stay safe and have a very merry Christmas and wonderful new year. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures in 2024.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One can never too careful out in the wild or even more when you are near people who could get the mindset that no one will know if they do something wrong to someone else... Glad you are safe!
I think the careful would’ve been to pack up and gone home, not just move. She was walking around with a light on. It would’ve been very easy to follow her to a new location.
Just found your page a few days ago and I love it!! Your happiness is infectious!! It's easy to see you truly find joy in all you do. I'll be a fan for life!!
Yeah, people suck! Good plan to break camp and move on. I've bought myself the X-mid1solid (on Paul Messner's recommendation) to use on the Trotternish ridge on skye in early spring. It's been great seeing one used and discussed by you too though. I love your videos, especially how you deal with the problems! Stay safe out there and have a great Christmas ❤
Ohh I was looking at the solid, it looks a much better colour! I've been so impressed with how this performed in bad weather (haven't edited that video yet) that I ordered the pro.. now I'm wondering if I should have got the solid instead haha. Hope you enjoy yours :D thanks for watching and merry Christmas! 🎅
@@fries-with-liesoh yes likely he was just walking through and got curious. But personally I would never stop and stare at someone's camp, for quite a while it went on, peeking out from behind trees and such as it's getting dark, because I know it would make the person at camp feel very uncomfortable. And then of course there's location - I'm close to towns and cities here. And past experiences - I have experienced bad humans, they exist. Most humans are mostly good of course, but some are not, it's impossible to know. Being alone in the woods all night, I feel safest if I'm not seen.
@@WildBeare Haha, I looked at the Pro but I was put off by: a; the price! and: b; the transparent appearance of the dyneema material. I don't know whether you have seen many pictures of the Pro in use, but I've noticed that the contents of the tent are quite (if fuzzily) visible! I'll be interested to hear your opinions of it when you test it. As for the colour comparison of the mesh versus solid models, it's difficult to gauge without a side by side viewing but my solid does seem a bit of a darker green. Take care Beare, catch you in your next video ❤️
That has to be one of the most innovative tents I've seen in a long time. lots of bells and whistles for so little weight too. Hopefully it will stand up to your bit of fun!
Loved that 👌🏻 Just had the Xmid Pro 2 delivered and going to set up in a friends garden on Sat just to see what else I might need for it like extra pegs, guy lines etc. Hoping to get it out on a hike over the holidays 👌🏻 Great video as always ❤
@@WildBeare Nice. The Pro version is crazy light. I think I see your order here and it looks like it's available for pick up now at the post office. Cheers, Dan

Absolutely love your adventures, your passion to connect with nature and how you deliver them. Some make me quite emotional 😂 top class videos and thanks for sharing. I’ll certainly be wild camping much more this year.
Good decision to move. Discretion is always the better part of valour. Nice little tent, but I’m also doubtful how it would stand up to adverse weather. Stay safe, Claire. Love you (not in creepy way! 🙀) and love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Mmm well, I have since given it a bad-weather-test and it performed amazingly, I was so surprised 😅 yet to find out if it's actually 'stormworthy' though haha. Thank you so much, merry Christmas to you! 🎅
I'd rather have a bear around my tent than a human any day (or night). Thanks for all your wonderful videos and keep on being safe! Cheers from Canada.
not sure i agree , as an Englishman with a big ol` bushcraft knife i can threaten and warn a person with a good hearty "fkoff!!" , i don`t think bears take much notice of that do they?
The X mid 1 is the best tent I’ve owned…..and I’ve had a few 😂 I bought the poles to go with it as I don’t use trekking poles, great addition, super light.
He stood there for quite some time, even peeking out from behind trees? I'd never do that to someone camping as I'd know how uncomfortable it would make them feel, especially with it getting dark haha, gave me the right heebie jeebies it did
@@richardeade3766I'm sure he had his reasons and maybe just didn't realise how uncomfortable it would make me feel? I don't know. You run into all sorts near the towns and cities haha. I prefer the mountains:)
Been watching your very enjoyable videos awhile now. You certainly are a beautiful, courageous young lady and your accent and dimples are just to cute. Look forward to your future videos. Good luck to you in every way!
My biggest fear in the woods? Ants. It's why I prefer watching people like you, Rirang, and Steve Wallis go camping, rather than doing it myself lol. Just the thought of waking up covered in ants (or any other bugs)... I can't imagine the amount of panic I'd have.
Yehh I get that! Slugs get to me a bit. They're fun to watch but they have no sense of personal space haha.. twice had them in my hair. I always use a head bug net not if I'm sleeping without a sealed tent
Good call they my have been the nicest person on the planet but you don't know and once you know that they know you are there you will never be able to sleep, great looking tent can't wait to see you struggle to keep it up in a storm.
Fellow wild woman 👋❤️ yehh its an uneasy feeling once someone else knows you're gonna be there for the night all alone isn't it. Have an amazing Christmas! 🎅
You have purchased a Great Tent! Enjoy it. I grew up ia very rural area and as a kid I was in the woods all the time. I not afraid of anything in the woods except yellow jackets.
Yeah, that's also what I not like about camping in the wild, other people. I just don't feel safe enough in a tent alone. And I'm a big guy, 193cm or 6'3". And that's why I always have my dog with me, that's also a good deterrent. Although, he learned recently he can crawl out of the tent, he pushes himself through the wall and floor gap, so now he is also leashed when sleeping. Normally he is always leashed outside, because he is a hunting dog race. Good plan that you moved.
Claire another great video, lovely little tent ill let my nephew know about it, shame about the person walking around, you did the right thing by moving, always trust your Sith sense.
Indains would as a matter of course make camp in the evening, set a fire, eat, then move their bedding off quite a ways from the fire and sleep for the night.Im talking moving mabey a quarter mile or less Claire. You have fine survival sensitivitys.

Excellent claire you have become such a pro. Thank you.
Ticks are my worst fear. They're horrid in the Northeastern United States.
Agree. One wild camped outside a village in the South Downs Way, and the village lunatic took a dislike to me during an evening meal at the local pub. At around 3am my tent got slashed and I pretty much ran away with just the clothes I had on. When I got back in the morning, my stuff had been trashed!

@@sideshow4417 I heard it. Apparently it's an aggressive invasive species and is endangering the unsuspecting local docile fauna.

I agree with your fear in the woods -- people. Thanks for the video.
I would have definitely moved too ….you are such a brave girl ….always keep safe ,love from the Emerald Isle 🇮🇪❤️
Take care.

I just appreciate how she helped me get over a stroke, get your mind on straight@@Grimm66613
I am a life time camper as well, I had a stroke two years ago and am still recovering, your videos have helped me want to get back out there.
Another beautiful video Claire.
You were right to move on as a lone female it is always the case of personal safety first.
Philip
Replied as requested I think - with my daughter's help😂
The world needs more Claire Beares!
Nah. We all know that she's one of a kind. Unique in every way, and with a good and kind heart. ❤
Definitely
She holds that camera high sometimes so we are looking down on her, making her look small and fragile. I just want to fold her into my arms and protect. But she knows the outdoors and would save any one of us when we got into trouble!
A real down home girl the way she plonks a spoon of jam into a rice pudding. Been doing that since a kid, thanks to my Mum.
But I've not had someone stand there staring for ages as it got dark haha.. bit unnerving
Thanks for watching and have a lovely Christmas :) 🎅
How did you know he wouldn't follow? This is what frightens me 😢
I have done my years of tent camping, tarp camping and hammock camping. Very nice. Very cozy.
Nice! Thanks for giving my tents a try. Glad you're liking it.
- Dan
Hi Dan! A few people in the comments have mentioned you, you've made an impressive tent :D I've since tested it in bad weather and was amazed.. it did not budge even with the guys off 👏
Would you not consider making it in a stealthy colour?
I've a feeling I'm gonna love the functionality but dislike the look of it (I always think DCF tents look like a screwed up grocery bag haha)
I'll keep an eye out for something darker in future, we do need to blend in in the UK because we have ridiculous authoritarian rules here.
@@django8395
@WildBeare I agree, I have the X-Mid 2 Solid and swapped the stakes out straight away, and the solid is a darker sage green..

Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Aw thank you Russell! Same to you, hope it is floofy and bright 🎅
Hahahahahahahahaha!!! Yer velcome, Claire--and thank YOU! :) @@WildBeare
A couple of those hail storms had hail the size of grapefruit.😳
Love your work.
You're Awesome!
Woww that's nuts! How scary! I imagine those hail storms would be catastrophic out in the middle of nowhere 🫨
Bless you thanks! Have a great Christmas 🎅
Always go with your gut instincts! Thank you for sharing another great video with us!
I'm sure he was just curious but it made me feel quite on edge especially with the sun going down
Thank you I hope you have a great one too!

Durston makes a nice tent. Oh that chili looked hearty.😋 Another nice pitch in the dark Beare! Have a splendid holiday! 🎄🎅🎄
Love my Durston had mine for 3 years now and still going strong
If your trangia type burner is to cold to light then just use a small strip of tissue paper like a wick but leaning on the side and light it.
I've used that method and it works without having to warm up the fluid.
TY for this!

I can so relate. Once I got totally spooked when the moon rose and I thought it was a farmer’s tractor lights. It took me a while to figure it out. Then when I did I felt like a total moron.
Haha, I've done the same with the lights from low-flying planes before, thinking it was someone walking about with a bright head torch 😄
Yep, I can definitely deal with anything from Mother Nature and wild critters, my biggest fear is other people (that I don't know).

Happy new years 🎆 your beautiful & brilliant look forwards to more perfect adventures from you

Jees creapy guy just stood there watching you. Stay safe!
You are adorable. Love your content. Its so relaxing to watch. Much love from Canada.❤
Oh thank you! Best wishes from UK, merry Christmas! 🎅
