Expensive backpack, supposed to be environmentally aware, but the packaging is still good ol plastic everywhere. I am not sure if this is worth the higher price....
+Poppy Farmer The packaging is mostly Massdrop. The plastic bag it came in is probably Fjallraven. Either way this bag is intended to last a lifetime which makes it very environmentally friendly. I can't yet vouch for a lifetime but it has held up really well so far.

Do you happen to know how long it takes before they have another drop, since the amount of votes is far above 200 (almost 400) right now. If it takes months, ill just buy one myself, but since i know little of massdrop, i was wondering whether you did.
I got mine during the second run they did during a "best of 2014" round up. Not sure how long it will take for them to do it again. If you need it now REI carries them and if you are a member you can get 10-15% back in "dividends". Also they have a great return policy so if massdrop does come through in a month or two you could probably just take back the REI one.
i have the large and its main difference is that mine has leather bottom I'm very happy with it

Medium. If you are considering the small I would highly recommend you check it out in person as it is quite small.
