Disney has a very recognizable princess aesthetic, so could just be the bride likes that look and knows people will understand what she means when she says it. I think this segment was longer in the original episode. When I saw it years ago, I remember Phaedra suggesting some other dresses, but the bride ultimately went with one that was very similar to Phaedra's wedding dress.
