2019 Clayton Year in Review

  • He's Clayton's oldest resident. WWII veteran Sam Robertson, 102, starts off our look back at 2019 with a statement about how very different the world is now from when he was growing up in this once sleepy village. He's right.
    But as you watch this video and see the 85-year-old film clips we've weaved in, we hope you'll also note how Clayton has stayed the same - how the police officers, the store keepers, the children - all seem to beam with pride and all still welcome you with wide smiles. SO much happened in our Sesquicentennial year and we've grown so much in our 150-year history, but this community still seems to want the same thing...they want Clayton to feel like home.
