I dont know you but I love you!!! Lol. I just took out and replaced my 2002 Nissan. Altima altenator all by myself and I don't know anything about cars except driving changing oil and changing tires. This video perfect down to the letter. Thank you thank you thank you.
And this is why I watch videos on youtube, so I can see the mistakes/recommendations that someone else suggests. Thanks for this video because I'm going to have to take mine off. Also have a slight exhaust leak which I think is around the manifold, so now I know how to get to it as well.
what is the orange cap cord called? My nissan altima 2006 cord is burning off and i need to order a new one and replace it. It is sending a signal to my car that my "battery" is bad but its just the cord/wire that needs to be replaced. Cant figure out the name of that cord that hooks onto the alternator.
Told by who? Like I said, if you go to an autoparts store, they should be able to set you up. If not, then try a different one that is more competent. Ultimately, a Nissan dealer should be able to get you the exact cable, but they are gonna charge you more for it.
Think my 02 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL would be worth investing into to make a sleeper build? Nothing too fancy just something to piss off all the Hellcats who think they're fast
Uhhhh, Hellcats? No, not a chance. They have over 700 horsepower and you have less than 200 lol. Even if you turbo the 2.5 you still wouldn't stand a chance in hell. I have seen those engines make around 500hp with a lot of boost, but you're talking a $10,000 build to get it to that point without it breaking everytime you floor it. With 500hp, it would *almost* keep up, because it's lighter. But as I said, that's a lot of $$$. And yeah, that would definately be a sleeper...
@@BuckeyeBallistics correction, they only make about 640 or so at the wheel (which is still a lot) but the point of the build isnt to win races or compete. Itd literally just to piss off everyone and give them a run for their money. I have an actual race car that's being built for that. But I was thinking of making the altima a sleeper build but know virtually nothing about it and yes, I'm prepared to spend upwards of 10k on it
I was quoting crank power- I'm well aware it's less at the wheel. You seem to already have your mind made up so I don't know why you need my opinion lol. Maybe you were just asking if I thought it'd be cool? Yeah definately.
@@BuckeyeBallistics I'm on the fence actually. I asked mostly bc you clearly know more about Altimas than I do, and I wanted your opinion on if it was even worth building onto the car.
I AM MYSELF WORKING ON THIS PROJECT 👍👍👍👍👍WAY YOU EXPLAINED 👍👍👍👍👍👍PERFECT GOOD JOB 👍👍👍👍👍

I'm impressed. For not knowing anything about cars, this isn't the easiest job to start learning on. Good job 👍
@@BuckeyeBallistics your video told me exactly how to do it. So thank you
You're welcome

It's the alternator positive wire. If you go to any autoparts store and show them, they should be able to get it for you.
Guns&Cars i was told there’s 2 different “lengths” and that i will need a mechanic to see which one i need. Is that correct?

Its dominos..remove 10 things to get the original part out..gotta love japanese tech
Yup. But this thing is 10x easier to work on than our Corolla, including alternator removal.
@6:03 SAME
That bracket made me put the hammer on it.😅
Thanks for being so wrong ja ja
