  • As a disabled person, my morning routine is a bit different to what is "normal". My routine involves ceiling hoists, slings, shower commodes, catheters, and coffee. Sophie, my Disability Support Worker, takes you through my elaborate morning routine - while I just grumble and groan (I'm not a morning person).
Hey, my name is Carl. I have a disability and use a power wheelchair. I'm in an interabled relationship with my girlfriend, Kirsty. If you like my videos, please show your mum or dad (or just subscribe to my channel instead). Thanks! Carl.

Hey Carl. Just wanted to say you have a great carer in Sophie. I hope she knows that! Interesting to see how your morning routine is.

My support workers wear masks to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, but I don't wear one normally because I don't have great lungs and find it difficult to breathe with them on, so I only wear them in very crowded places at the moment! 😊

Hi Carl, I just found your video as I was researching a power wc hitch carrier and ramp for my adult brother who has CP. He needs more care now and I'm planning to move him to live with me so I can coordinate his care and be in the same state. Your openness to share your life is so helpful for me as a family member and I look forward to sharing your channel with my brother so he can be encouraged that he can experience more in life with some medical challenges in addition to the CP that's made him less mobile. Thank you, thank you, and I look forward to watching more of your videos. I pray my brother will get a great, caring, and cheerful caregiver Sophie, as you have.
If you've ever experienced flying - I would love to hear your tips on airport travel. I'll need to fly my brother and dad (90) from our home state to where we live and it's going to have its challenges. Take care!

Please tell me he only left the door unlocked for this video.

Don't worry, Russell! That was definitely some artistic license. The door is always securely locked!

@@CarlThompsonIsCool Awesome, I'm quite severely disabled and law enforcement is something I'm highly trained in.
I should get into doing risk assessments for NDIS places but that's another story.
Look into some smart locks, either a digit combination for entry, fingerprint entry or remote un/lock through Google home or phone app :)

@@TheWoundedWarrior Whenever I use my computer I always close the blinds; because the computer is near a window and I am worried about theives.

@@flowerpetals1396 I rarely see desktops pinched. A laptop though... I'd love to know what kind of area you live in for it to be a concern.
You could also install yourself some mirrored tint film for the window in question so you can see out but they can't see in
