I watched with such joy when the original aired and re-purchased on DVD many years later and just found the whole series on TH-cam.....the original and best angling programme as for me and so many...its the excuse to be at one with nature...just the best ahead of its time...thank you
So interesting. Bob received a lot of bad cess after Passion. Chris was lionised - quite rightly. The general impression was that Bob had muscled-in on the coat-tails of Chris, the better-known angler. In this short film Bob comes across very well, and it seems was actually far more instrumental in the production. In a way it may be better if we don't look too closely, behind the curtain, as the great OZ conjures his magic. The most important thing remaining, is that we must all be grateful. Passion was and is the great influence of its age, as Crabtree was for the post-war boomers. Perhaps pathetically, the fist few notes as Passion opens, still bring an emotional mig-trig tear to this silly fading angler.
Richie was pissed and bidding on all sorts just to get the price up. I bid on and won a series of letters between the Carp Society and the Richardsons regarding Redmire. Unfortunately I never received them and no-one knows where they are

Marvellous!
Great watch, thanks for sharing.
Love these.
That lion scared the crap out of me!!
At the point Bob makes reference to the rumours surrounding himself and Chris not speaking, there is a section cut out, why was that ?
What minute of this talkndoes it happen?

Thanks, it’s fantastic. Keep up the good work Kris
Didn’t Bob give Chris’s wife one?
