Eating raw octopus isn't the problem, but eating it while it's nerves are still intact is. The women's method of killing the octopus (chopping it's head of while it's still alive) is a cruel one or in other words inhumane. And don't even try to argument with "but that's part of the culture".

The tentacles have live suction cups so chew thoroughly and do NOT swallow until you feel it has been broken up enough to avoid choking~ Your mouth will just know :) You should definitely cut the octopus into small pieces to avoid jaw pain from over chewing!
