My brother and I had a Space Hopper when we were kids! Only after watching this video did I learn that the face was that of a kangaroo. I always thought that it was the face a goat and that the handles were the horns. Oh well! Sweet memories!
In New Zealand they were called Moon Hoppers originally. Managed to split my head open quite nicely while jumping off a low concrete wall and bouncing backward into it. Still have it languishing sadly in my basement. Great fun.
I had a space hopper knock off as a kid and i absolutely loved it tho i absolutely forgot that i had it so thank you mate, thank you for reminding me of the good times
That was cool!! I remember them here in the states, Ohio to be exact thinking that you might like to know where your viewers are!! I enjoy all of your works both channels are great keep it up!! Say maybe you could do a video on Studebaker... Not just the car production side of Studebaker but all of the companies that was in studebakers portfolio especially at the time that they decided to shut down car production in South bend I know it'll take some research but I also know that you're very good at research!! I would love to hear a report on that perhaps maybe you could do something on the Kaiser industries and talk about their car production... Another American firm not a German one of course... Of course I do I really want you to do one on AMC!! ever since you mentioned AMC's electric cars and did by the way a wonderful extensive job about those given that really you're the only channel that has covered them that I'm aware of I would like you to cover the entire company!! Oh I know I'm full of requests if not even slightly demands but I can't get enough of big car/ little car!! Great content what can I say and wonderful delivery of that content!!
Thanks - I really appreciate your support! Good ideas - I have lunch with my 92 year old ex-neighbor every week and he suggested Studebaker. He's probably one of the few people alive who's bought a Ford Model T used as it was the only cheap car he could buy! I'd like to do more American cars, but so far the American ones I've done have fallen a little flat as far as views - many of my subscribers are in the UK. So I've been trying to focus on cars that appeared in both the UK and US when I do one outside of the UK. Keep those suggestions coming!
@@LittleCar your welcome, I especially am full of suggestions durning my after beer time before bed snack!! Lol! Well a car that may be popular in the UK... Perhaps you could tell us the story of the Mercedes slk line of cars!! I'm wanting an slk real bad these days so perhaps you could make a video detailing how the slk came about and perhaps throw in a few faults with them and so on!! And definitely cover the depreciation of them and how they can be bought for cheap under 8 grand!!
I had a similar toy in the 80s USA but it was a ball with a plastic Saturn style ring around it. Anyone know what these where called. They where at total death trap
My mates wee sister got one around 74 , we had a shot & thought it wasn’t worth the effort to get a wee bounce. We ended up throwing it at each other , the things 10 year olds do 🤷🏻♂️
i;m sure one of the UK co designers was Mr Bennet , not Barnett. Could you feel it again, so as not to destroy my pleasure in knowing the sons of Space Hoppers dad
Love the line. "sales started to slip due to foreign hoppers"
Haha fair play for knowing about the awesome Spacehopper nights in Brum in the 90s! Always a quality night out that was 👍🏼
Had no idea these were cars but there you go. You learn something new every day.
I loved this so much. Had the orange one. A lad who lived round the corner had a blue one which was rarer.
I had this 30 years ago...grest fun in thr garden....never hurt myself...Cant believe all the videos for the hopper..The comments are removed...

I used to have one when I was a kid.
Lived in Wembley in the 70s (across the train track from the stadium) and had a Wembley football and Wembley hopper!
I had one of the original Space Hoppers in the orange.....there were a few green and red ones around too.
Ahhh, the green transport of the future
Don't give MP's ideas XD
Used to see these lying in people's gardens in the 70s, along with those little red and blue trikes with the white handlebars.
Very interesting ! Never had one as a kid . My Dad thought they were dangerous lol
I broke my back from falling off of it on hardwood floor
We all had concussion; one of those old heavy space hoppers across the back of the head and you truely were spaced. Great fun though.
Love it so much, and I always ride it!!

@@LittleCar thank you I can't wait!!!
Very good. Story idea ; Corgi model cars, VERY BRITISH!
There's an idea for a new video!
So many funny names, nice!
New Years Eve in Glasgow, they can keep up with the traffic . . .

in the netherlands they called these; Skippy Ball's haha
I tried it once using a friends and it just made me motion sick. It also Rattles your brain too much kind of like shaking baby syndrome.
Yep, I don't recall it being called Space Hoppers over here.
As used by Ivan Dobsky, the Meat Safe Murderer.
Mr Hoppy!!
I only said I done it so they wouldn't give me another Jalfrezi enema.
Yeah, but he never done it! He only said he'd done it so they'd take his knob out of the chili sauce
Now THIS is history!

Will we get The Gonk Story too?.
(not to be confused with the Star Wars droid)
I saw one of these recently (the American ones) a kid face planted on one. Certainly a strange toy
I remember this from the Submachine flash games!

a bit thin.
it's a rubber bouncing ball. what do yo expect? should he portray the countries where the rubber originates from?
Always wanted one as a kid .... Never got one):
You weren't missing much. 5 minutes of fun and then I was back on my bike.
try breathing once in a while
The most pointless invention in the history of mankind.🙂
More fun than most pointless innovations though ;-) .
