- Patterz and I randomized our pokemon starters in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We Won’t be choosing our starters! We will have to blindly pick pokemon only knowing how they evolve! Then Once we have our pokemon we will build our teams for a battle!

Ursaring cannot in fact evolve into Bloodmoon Ursaluna because it was an entire boss fight in the Teal Mask. Bloodmoon Ursaluna is an Ursaluna who washed up on Kitakami’s shores and out of desperation to survived seemingly mutated and adapted by slathering itself in tougher mud and somehow getting a weird green eye to gain night vision, as well as the blood moon laser powers.
The same may apply to AZ’s Floette who might finally get added in properly in PLZA.
Blood min ursaluna is similar to regular one I would argue that regular is even better why do all of these TH-camrs get so upset when they don't get blood moon

@@Insomniac402okay so Bloodmoon Ursaluna is technically more overpowered compared to ursaluna do to being a special attacker and having insane stats and move pool. There’s a calm mind set that’s just giga broken it’s so strong it’s considered the same tier as box art legendaries in competitive play.

Exactly what I was thinking immediatly. There's no way you can know what pokemon it is by just knowing level up since there's so many that evolve through level up.

I mean, if they do that, they should also be transparent with other evolution methods as well though (Like say which stone it is they evolve with or with friendship, if its during the night or the day).
That would make it way to easy though, since that would be really specific and would narrow it down a lot.
Like... there are not a lot of Pokemon that evolve at level 36 aside from the starters. Its the same with the Psuedo's, most of which evolve around level 50.
Like, if they say Dawn Stone, there are literally 2 options.
Pre-gen 7 regional bugs also evolve at early levels, so you can already narrow that down as well.

With supersweet syrup decreasing evasiveness, I think stone edge was worth going for at the end considering lycanroc's tera.
Supersweet syrup only works the first time the pokemon enters battle, so arcanine's evasiveness wasn't lowered

What kind of content might grab my attention... Hmmmm. Oh, LMAO. What about, "We catch the cutest starters for our opponent, and then we battle?" Randomized abilities would probably help, and maybe a reward or punishment system when catching to spice things up.
Also, when it comes to these videos, the two opponents haven't been describing pokemon the same. I think this way would be fair:
Pinsir: this pokemon is a standalone evolution
Charizard: this pokemon is fully evolved
Combee: this pokemon evolves by level up, but only if female
Vespiquen: this pokemon is fully evolved
Weepingbel: this pokemon evolves by leaf stone
Etc
If more than one pokemon falls in the "level up" or "standalone" category, you could then specify a generation or block of generations (maybe 1/2, 3/4/5, 6/7, 8/9)
Edit: This idea is interesting to me because a lot of strong pokemon this generation are just kinda really fugly, and there's just in general not a lot of reason to use cute Pokemon. I think it'd be wholesome and entertaining to see how the players make their cuties stronk
Edit 2: to outline what I said in the first part, the beginnings of the video asks if I know which two pokemon evolve by dawn stone, but I watch Tobin describe Growlithe as "evolving by stone" with two level ups on the field instead of "evolves by fire stone". It was the only piece of info Patterz had on the field, and it wasn't given, and it doesn't match the beginning of the video

I also pitch catching the opponent's pokemon for it rather than your own so there isn't a draw to catch strong mons for yourself. Instead, you're about to get judged by your opponent for what you thought they'd think is cute

If you repeat this video concept, I'd like to recommend that for pokemon that evolve by level up you also have to say how many stages it has, if it has a branching line, or a regional variant. This will help split up the largest and most "generic" of evolution methods and might lead to some more interesting choices. But at the same time, there are enough mons that fall into each category I don't think it would end up as "too much" information either.
Patterz's first turn is not a single miss.
I mean, ursaluna is a absolute tank, walking wake is just a menace, and annihilape can hurt.
Riolu can only evolve into Lucario during the daytime, but yes, it is by high friendship

I was thinking Final forms would be "this pokemon doesn't evolve" since they don't evolve any more.
I would have a 3 stage line. First evolution would be with a Dusk Stone, then the 2nd would be a Dawn Stone. Probably would be weird with a Normal/Ghost typing

If i was a Pokemon i would evolve into 3 different forms.
Casual: evolve from lvl up twice
Stealth: evolve by lvl up held item in area then move learn evo
Virus: level up while each of your party has a status condition then lvl up after taking 3 attacks from poison, Steel, and electric attacks and surviving
If you do this again. If it’s by level up I would say the level at which it evolves at. Would make it more interesting

In response to y’all saying you’re looking to increase your female viewership, one idea would be to invite a female content creator as a guest for a “and then we fight” video. I’m a female software developer and the 10% ratio is something I’m pretty used to in work, school, etc and it’s always nice to see representation. I just want to be clear that this isn’t criticism at all, just an idea if you’re looking to attract more female viewers

I would evolve with a completely new evolution method. It's called a Frustration evolution. It's exactly what it sounds like: if I dislike you enough, I can manifest that bad energy and evolve. The twist? I start at max friendship.
You can only get an ursaring because ursaluna is only obtainable in pla or the blood moon in sv but thay one is a static encounter
Vs Idea...Evolution Chain Battle...You both catch 6 1st 2nd & 3rd stage Pokemon and have 3 different battles

When I clicked on this video, I really hoped you guys would say the exact levels the pokemon leveled up at instead of just saying that they evolved via level up. That way it's an extra little challenge for the other player to try and guess what pokemon it is instead of just blind luck.
