Yeah, uhh... There's quite a lot to explain for this year. First off, we're not using the OG Cup mod like Griffdawg did, but we're using Cup2000 (to have some more accurate cars, the drivers are what Griffdawg envisioned, though, so there's that).
Second, as you can clearly read from the title, we have a "new" character. While Jen does already have a 3D model, I decided to generate her in the same style as Lydia just for consistency's sake. And yes, Lydia and Jen are AI generated. Hey, if Toecar can have its drivers be AI-generated, I can do it, too.
Third, always related to Lydia, I decided to do this experiment and keep her in the 48 car for the remainder of the series. If people like it, then I'll keep going, otherwise I'll revert back to Jimmie Johnson (hope Mrucz doesn't see this video) and pretend Lydia in 2001 never happened.
And fourth... Jen wasn't meant to be the main protagonist of this. I intended for another character to join in, but I switched to Jen just before pressing "record" on OBS because I wanted a little callback to Dirt to Daytona, where I used Jen for the very first time. That character, named Celeste Allais, might appear for 2003, who knows.
If you liked this video, please give a like (or dislikes, depends on your tastes, really) and subscribe if you want more.
Or not. Again, depends on you.
Love your series, but I have a few questions. First off, where is Lydia Murray? She is coming off of a great 2001 season, winning the championship in dominating fashion, and she gets removed from the 48 in favor of Jimmie Johnson. I feel like she should have at least had a chance to defend her title, even if it meant driving for a different team and not having as strong a season in 2002. Second, why did Jen Eisner take the 2 car? Did Rusty Wallace retire after the 2001 season?
Oh, she's there. She's in the 48.
@@AAlpha2 That's awesome. Lydia gets to continue her NASCAR career. She might not win as much in 2002, but she gets to defend her title. By the way, any idea why Jen Eisner took the 2 car?
@@danielfoster3642Yeah I’m wondering that too. What happened to Wallace?
