I saw in an interview that David Howard Thornton said that sexual assault is a hard limit for him as far as what he'd be asked to do as Art the Clown, and I was honestly really glad to hear that since I was worried that sexual assault could be a future "escalation" of shock factor. Edit: Wow. Some of you guys are really taking my comment in a different direction. I don't think it's necessarily immoral to depict sexual assault in horror films, I just personally don't want to see that. If it doesn't bother you, that's fine. Everyone has different limits.
This is a big reason why I love Art and Terrifier in general! The first movie kinda toes the line when it comes to violence against women but Damien has responded well to criticism about it and has since been really tactful wrt things like SA and graphic violence against children. These movies manage to push the limits with horror and gore without resorting to cheap shock tactics like that and it’s awesome. They’re actually creative with the violence instead. Saw did this too-creative and shocking gore without the exploitation. Love it.
That’s so good to know! I love these movies so much and I definitely get the vibe they wouldn’t try something like that. And thankfully so, because the tone would be waaaayyy off and it would be in such poor taste lol
I see nothing wrong with it in the confines of the movie, as if Art the clown would take a hard stance on that. Are we going to pretend he has any morals at all?

That's really sad that the theatre would allow clearly underage children into tge movie. Child development is no joke. No matter how mature a chilf seems, a child's brain can NOT process fake terror and gore like this in a way that won't cause trauma or negatively warp their worldview. Parents really need to study up.
Horror is completely fine for most kids.. Been watching horror since I was 3. The director also watched since he was a kid. It's not some crazy things. Just don't do it if the kid scares easily. That's it
As someone who was put in a psychiatric hospital against their will and deals with a mental disorder, PTSD and trauma, I do find the story and lore to be therapeutic. It all resonated with me that you’re stronger than the demons trying to ruin your life and you can fight what’s out of your control. I was worried when it sounded like you said there was no plot but happy you liked Sienna’s story
I wish you got into some of the funny moments and interactions Art had with his various victims, those were big highlights for me. Art acting like Buddy from Elf when he finds Santa at the bar or him eavesdropping on Cole and Mia and reacting to her statements were the funniest moments in the whole franchise.
Agree there's some great comedy in this. the scene where Art's headless corpse gets on a subway and puts the cop's head on, or the part where he listens to security when they kick him out of the Santa area
@@PossessedbyHorrorbecause they where full of hate. Every other action was Art having fun. But this "small" slaps where personal hate against her. And its so fucking funny because of the differenz of violance 😂
More disturbed than the actual movie itself. We know what we’re signing up for seeing any Terrifier film, bringing a kid that doesn’t need to see/know about this stuff? Like c’mon
@@guibox3 it’s released unrated in the States. While you’d think decades of “unrated editions” of DVDs would signal to people “this is the version the MPAA gave us an NC-17 on and we had to edit it for an R-rating” it’s really up to the theaters who they’ll let in, and some are so hard up for ticket sales post Covid they’ll let anyone in.
Arts first victim in the first movie are the 2 guys that work at the pizza shop. In the scene where the blonde girl in the car hears on the radio that a murder happened there and they just left plus saw art there, an ambulance drives by with its sirens on. This was actually not in the script… literally just randomly while filming that scene, an ACTUAL real ambulance drove by! That’s what I call “movie magic”
Yeah like the IT movies are specifically about kids and that opening scene with the boy in the sewer getting his arm bitten off was very disturbing, so the terrifier movies shouldn’t be made to seem like they’re the only ones involving children.
also pet semetary with gage the literal toddler getting obliterated by the truck, idk why people make such a huge deal of things just because it's a Terrifier film
I thought the scene from It when he lured the little girl to her death by promising he could remove the mole on her face was much more upsetting than anything that happened in Terrifier 3. The reason kids are a trigger is because they're so innocent and trusting which is why Pennywise manipulating her into trusting him by playing on an insecurity and pretending to be helpful is such a gut punch.
I’m not sure why people draw their line there either. Normally, women and kids are sacred. Women have been getting slayed brutally in horror movies for decades and the Terrifier took mainstream fire to the next level.
I'm the same. I have always enjoyed horror and back when I was younger I would have enjoyed watching the these movies but now I just don't have the stomach anymore. I don't have an issue with gore and graphic kills but I just can't watch people suffering while they are being killed. Too much of a trigger for me now days. If it wasn't for a few of the scenes in theses movies I would have watched them and most likely enjoyed them.
I think the shower scene is a bit overhyped. It’s gory yes, but it got so ridiculous that it was obvious that it was a prop and therefore less disturbing imo. The most underrated part of the movie was the whole end set piece when they are tied up. Probably the most tense I’ve felt in a horror movie since the dinner table scene in Texas chainsaw massacre.
I think the props were very obvious because they were going for an 80s look, and it seemed pretty inspired by the 80s slasher 'Pieces' where a girl gets sawed in the shower. They could've gone with realistic effects like they did in Terrifier 1 but they didn't and I guess it also helps get more people to watch it.
Given that Art throws Sienna--who is dressed as a warrior angel--through a literal portal to Hell in the second movie, I'm not sure how you missed the religious elements before. They were pretty heavy-handed.
Glad you went to see it. The crowd at my theater were great, audible gasps, laughs and not too many outbursts. Really added to the experience. I also wasn't expecting the sound design to be so good, that first scene where Art hacks the family without us seeing was so loud and visceral. I'm so glad I watched it in theater, so worth it!
I enjoy listening to interviews with Damian Leone because at every opportunity he gushes about his mom and the support he received from her and his sisters.
Damien's first short movie The 9th Circle (final scene of Terrifier 3 shows a woman reading a book with this title) hints that Art is the literal spawn on the devil. There is another scene in Terrifier 3 when a young Sienna is talking to her Dad in his art studio. The picture he shows her has the female hero holding the decapitated head of Satan. The head is the same as that of the devil in The 9th Circle. I'm trying to figure out how deep theme of art/creativity goes. Like, obviously its the clowns name. But, the artist from All Hallows Eve painted an image of Art the Clown. So did Sienna's Dad. Doubt Damien will fully flesh all this out but there is a lot of room for building up a mythology/lore around that idea.
Two girls next to me talked the entire first hour. They had their heads together and thought they were whispering but they were definitely not. Like CONSTANT. I ended up moving seats after the first hour and they had the nerve to give me dirty looks lol
@@daytonsouthall1137 I said the same thing like wow I can’t believe they didn’t show Jonathan getting killed because I would’ve thought that that would have been a major scene but after reading your comment that makes sense that maybe he’s not dead never really would’ve thought that was the dad but I guess anything is possible in this movie
Holy Crap, so I'm not the only one that teared up? The scene where Sienna has an emotional conversation, about everything she's going through, and trying to keep it together.
It really upset me when Sienna was having one of her breakdowns and the mom said "You're scaring her" (meaning Gabby) it was such a realistic trauma type of scene. I was on the verge of tears in a lot of those scenes. They did a great job conveying not just her trauma but what it's like for those that have gone through traumatic experiences.
If movie theaters go out of business, I'm blaming all the rude and disrespectful people who make the theater-experience miserable for the rest of us. As of late, there's a trend where people absolutely have to have a seat smack-dab in the middle, perfectly centered in the row. I have literally sat right next to someone else when there were a grand total of 3 people in the entire auditorium because a couple that came in after me had to have their perfect seat...
theater etiquette has gone downhill it is so annoying like it takes zero effort. I got up while watching a movie and had someone kicked out who was talking the ENTIRE half of the movie and literally had people clap lol.
I like that Art has been giving a middle finger to conventional slasher villain rules like using guns/explosives. Granted, Art going full domestic t*rror*st in the mall was definitely not expected. I do appreciate how they handled the child deaths. No screams, no faces, and only seeing the aftermath. To add, the first 2 victims in the first Terrifier were both men (the pizza cafe workers).
The Rat tube scene is the ONLY scene that’s stuck with me from Terrifier 3, made me feel very uneasy and I’ve thought about it a lot, but in a weird kind of way I like that the movie was able to make me feel like that, it has done its job! (I hope that makes sense and I don’t just sound crazy)
Same! I’m so used to horror that when a movie genuinely unsettles me I love it and hate it. It makes me want to rewatch it and also never see it again haha
I'm 16, and I had recently watched the Terrifier movies....only 1 & 2. And those were bizarre for me even at 16, so if I had watched them at 12...I think I would have thrown up. I can't believe a parent would bring their TWELVE year old to a TERRIFIER movie. That's insane to me
22:23 Damien was saying there would be 1 or 2 more movies to finish Sienna’s saga, then after that’s complete he’ll keep making more movies with Art & fresh characters as long as he has new ideas for plots & kill scenes.
we finally got lore which is what we needed to keep these films going but i just wish it wasn’t so unclear what exactly what that lore is. felt very haphazard
@17:40 I remember a behind the scenes clip from Dr Sleep where the child actor that was tortured and murdered being puzzled by all the adults being horrified and telling them how fun it was to act in that scene. Many adults still have a problem to mature enough as humans are supposed to by nature and have problems distinguishing fantasy from reality.
Jacob Tremblay coming in on his birthday, having a blast, traumatizing the shit out of the cast and crew, eating a birthday cake and then going home is one of my favorite bits of horror lore ever. Apparently when Flanagan showed King the footage, even King was upset by it and was like, “You have to trim that down. That’s awful!”
If you’re bringing your child to watch Terrifier, you should be investigated for child neglect/abuse. A parent that will expose their child to such extremely graphic violence/nudity/gore, clearly lacks the capacity to protect a child. It’s one thing to allow them to watch something like this at home, it’s even worse to feel comfortable with other people observing the obvious inability to parent effectively. Like if that’s totally cool, what’s going on at home when people aren’t around…?
That's why it's so dangerous that they are releasing these films unrated instead of NC-17. The movies are all too graphic for the R rating so it's basically theatrical X rated material. Such films shouldn't have child actors because NC -17 films even accompanied by an adult a child isn't allowed to watch . It's not R rated ....
My husband and I went last night. There were about 5 children under the age of 13, they looked about 10. They should not be seeing this stuff… I was just the mom and these kids. Thought it was so weird.
The Blob remake kid kill scene always stuck out to me because of how visceral and painful it looked. So there's definitely way more graphic child killing scenes in horror or non horror films.
I’m a diehard Saw and Final Destination fan and refused to ever watch Terrifier bc I heard it was so much worse but I recently watched all 3 and fell in love
This is an example of history repeating itself where a franchise that started as an indie horror became wildly successful just as classics like A Nightmare on Elm St. and Halloween name years ago.
People who say every kill were on the level of the bedroom scene were high on something else or we just experienced the bedroom scene completely different.
The demonic & religious stuff started in 2. Sienna's angel warrior & resurrection after being stabbed with the magic sword? The Pale Girl (whose entity was now in Victoria, because the PG actress would've looked too old haha) was absolutely a demon in 2. Damian also said Art was human until he died at the end of 1. Then the Pale Girl entity resurrected him at the beginning of 2. Because she was still alive at the end, she possessed Victoria to bring Art back. (Not a theory, confimed by Leone.) Nothing "religious" or "demonic" was added to the franchise in 3, just given more explanation lol. It started with 2. What *is* a theory my friend had was the skull wasn't Jonathan's. The logic that I get behind is that he was WAY too main of a character for his death to be offscreen. Could definitely be wrong, but if we can watch middle school Jonathan get sliced up in 2, we absolutely should've been allowed to see college Jonathan die (that sounds morbid lmao, I didn't want him to die either way).
You can see in the second one, where she’s the arch angel, holding a seam on head in her dads drawings. So yea it’s going to come down to her finally defeating the devil for good as her arch angel character
I could GO ON about lack of movie theater etiquette recently. When I saw the crow a group of teenagers were full on FaceTime calling their friends and talking at full volume. During Terrifier 3, someone was asleep and snoring VERY loudly and the person they were with just let them do it! I love going to the movies but it’s a toss up on whether or not its going to be enjoyable solely because of the crowd.
I can’t imagine why there wasn’t a more well-behaved, respectful, mature audience at terrifier 3. (I’m also disappointed in parents bringing their kids, though. We’re raising sociopaths.)
I want a tattoo of seanna with her sword wearing a crown of thorns so damn bad. The crown, the sword and the crushed hands like christ is the most metal, most awesome image of a final girl i have ever witnessed. Amazing.
Wow, somebody who is okay with shit not always catering to their personal views, and who can still enjoy it regardless?? I’m impressed. Glad I subbed to you
I had 4 teenage dudes 3 rows back talking through most of the movie until they walked out. People have zero respect nowadays. This is why I like to stay away from the theaters nowadays. Only Godzilla & Art can make me go to the movies anymore
I feel it!!! Happened when I went to see the new grudge years back!!!! Watched terrifier 3 from home!!!!! No stupid audiences talking and acting stupid just me watching from my phone with a good friend of mine we both loved the movie!!!!
I had to yell at a group of Teens who were recording parts of the movie, talking constantly and not getting off their phones to knock it off so everyone else could enjoy the movie. People suck. Thankfully I think I spooked them enough because they stopped and I was able to enjoy everything past the 1st 15 minutes of the movie.
We honestly don’t talk about how horrific IT (2017) is/was. It really impacted me because everything was happening to children and they didn’t shy away as you alluded to
I could actually handle the kid scenes in When Evil Lurks better than that Georgie scene. It’s because of the way Georgie screams and suffers- that’s what is upsetting. It’s the crying and suffering that bothers me, not so much the gore or death aspect. So yeah, the It remake was definitely way worse than this.
It Chapter One 2017 was at least tasteful - if you can use that term - when it depicted gory stuff, because the camera focuses on Pennywise's teeth for like 3 seconds in that scene specifically, then jumps to the cat on the porch, so you don't see the gory process of skin and muscle being ripped off visually. The camera immediately cuts to Georgie's arm bleeding already through the raincoat sleeve with a lot of blood in the water as he crawls away. Nothing else. Compare that to Terrifier 1 as the first movie to start its own franchise when Art literally has a naked woman sawn in half from her intimate parts. Like, how is that okay? I still remember it vividly because it was vivid. Not tasteful or anything like that at all. Just disgusting. It gave me more trauma than a jump scare which is what the Georgie scene succeeded at. Both yes are traumatic events, but one film at least got it right for me to experience the shock and not be traumatized beyond the scene when it was over. So It 2017 was gory, but not purely, visually disgusting, because there was a balance between how much was shown and what was shown for jump scares and not trauma. The director could have easily just focused on Tara's face as the event was happening with her friend and just have the sounds be heard by the audience like in House of the Dragon s2 ep.1 when Halaena loses her child. Simple, tasteful and easy. I have not seen Terrifier 3 because I want a horror to scare me, not traumatize me, if that makes sense. So It 2017 knew how to do that.
I feel you on that movie theater experience stuff😩 I started going on a weekday early evening while school was in session before 2020. I LOVED when it was just two or three ppl in the theater with me. Movies are a fun entertainment for me; an escape. I don’t go to the movies to feel like I’m at Chuck E. Cheese or something! Why?? Why can’t you control yourself for two hrs? Kicking the back of my seat constantly, SMOKING the devil’s lettuce IN the movie theatre (true story) & I’m allergic to all smoke producing things, howling, talking AND SPOILING THE MOVIE AT THE SAME TIME, having your phone ring constantly & not care, having conversations on the phone LOUD while CUSSING, babies crying THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MOVIE!! Oh, let’s not forget fighting. Yes, I’ve experienced all these situations JUST TO WATCH A MOVIE I PAID TO SEE!! Earth disturbers, entire entities of life drainers. Don’t want anyone having fun but themselves 😣😢😠
The number of kids in the theater also took away from my experience. The family next to me had like 5 kids and the youngest looked around 5. 🙄 But I don't think any of the kills top the bedroom scene. That one just felt extra cruel.
I am so upset with theater etiquette in the recent years. I worked at a movie theater for years and can’t imagine how it is now. I’d be going into every theater kicking people out, but the lack of respect and all the entitlement people have and feel is insane
Agree! But people are literally morons with the manners of uneducated peasants. My sister, who is a rock singer and does some acoustic gigs singing with her guitar in nice clubs told me that people will literally come up to her while she is singing and they will start talking to her and expect her to answer their questions and talk with them WHILE she is singing. That's how stupid people are these days. So bad behavior in a theater is no surprise at all.
I was finally able to watch Terrifier 3 in theaters, and omg if your comment about the lack of theater etiquette does not reign true for my experience either. There were so many underage teenagers without adults that tried to get in, and they all got kicked out of the building. There were two girls that were able to sneak in, but one was on the phone the entire time and was literally listening to music and scrolling on social media (with the speak ON). Like, does no one know what theater etiquette is, omg???
I don't quite understand the reasoning of 'it was just fictional, I knew it was only a fake body,' etc. Aren't we supposed to watch a film by immersing ourselves in it? If the death of the mother and the daughter's head affected you, I don’t see why the boy’s death wouldn’t. Saying, 'It’s all fake-just actors, fake blood, and props' could excuse anything. For me, they didn’t even have to show the actual killing, the sounds and that quick shot were traumatic enough on their own.
@12:20 the first victims in terrifier 1 were the two workers at the fast food store, he also killed the two construction workers later. In contrast he killed the sisters, their friend and the freeloading crazy lady. Why and how is he only killing women, while half of them were men?
I think people forget about some of them because Art tends to toy with the women more, at least in the first two. I'm not saying I agree with folk saying they're misogynist, but I can understand based on how the most drawn out, torturous deaths were women in the first two. Looking forward to the third!
@@klaudiabiela3234 That's true, I'm a woman and I can clearly understand where the misogyny aspect comed from. Art is way more brutal and toys around with his female victims more. I think if he just killed them like he kills men, it would be less criticized. Though I do not think Terrifier is a misogynistic franchise... And I love Art.
It’s ‘Gabby’ not ‘Jenny’ ☺️ But the scene that made MY jaw drop was when Victoria is pleasuring herself with that shard of glass while Art is ripping the flesh off the demolition guy 😲🫢😳
Art the Clown is somewhat endearing. When you combine that to the over-the-top gore, the overall effect becomes less visceral. Then, it starts to feel almost entertaining. Can I say that about the scene in Irreversible where the guy gets his face bashed in with a fire extinguisher or the extended abortion scene in Nymphomaniac: Volume 2 ? No. However, I prefer upsetting and extremely visceral over entertaining and visceral-ish.
This one was bloodier than Terrifier 2. I thought David Howard Thornton was much better as Art than in the previous films. His comic timing was better. His facial expressions were more dramatic like a mime. Even his body language seemed more mature/professional. *SPOILERS* But the cliffhanger at the end is killing me! I need to know what happens to Gabbie!
That whole end scene really confused me. Like I thought it was all a dream but then it just kept going and going.. I really wish they would've showed Jonathan and the dad getting killed and how all of that stuff played out
@@_Cadennn Not showing Jonathan getting killed opens up the theory that he's not really dead. Art and Vicky could be lying about that, too. Just like they initially lied about Gabbie being killed.
Well that is the point to up the ante with each passing sequel. You don't even have to tell horror fans that the body count will be higher and more bloody in sequels.
I'm dying to see Terrifier 3 unfortunately all theaters around here closed down so will have to wait for it physical. Good review and cool video Sarah!👍
Well if Hollywood stays with the woke garbage that's gonna be the outcome. I hope the director of the terrifier movies neglects these feminist opinions.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll gladly say it again, but you are by far my most favorite movie reviewer/influencer .. I just love your style and your opinions. It’s fun to watch you grow as a person and as a horror fan alike
No. Teenagers and Children are two separate groups. Teenage years is between 13-19. Children is 12 and under. With 11 and 12 being preteen. Teenagers/Even College aged dying in horror is nothing. Younger children can be triggering or disturbing to some in films.
I think the reason why people are fine teens dying is because they're not played by actual teenagers. Most of the time in movies. So having to be played by adults leads to the person not really seeing a teenager dying but an adult playing a teen that's making it less bad to watch. It's also very rare to find films that are teenagers are played by teenagers. And that's definitely the reason why most people don't care about them dying.
I don't usually like watching violence against children in movies but agree this movie handled it in my comfort zone. I have to admit I laughed out loud at the Mall Scene, just didnt see that coming. I guess since Art had stolen a demolition truck it should have been expected.
I LOVED everything about this movie Not a family movie, especially for babies I had my ART, the clown purse, and my makeup like art wore my terrifier shirt i got compliments But this woman next to me had like a 6mo old BABY right next to me. The baby was very chill, didn't scream, cry nothing Only down fall was the baby wanted to cuddle/snuggle up with me it was pretty funny
That is insane. People must be far more desensitized than I thought. I’m hyper logical and love horror, but the gore in this movie disgusts and impresses me. My mind won’t accept it’s not real even when it knows it’s not. I can’t imagine bringing a kid there. Prob better to bring a 6m old than a 5-12 year old but still
@@ManiacalMangoes the woman holding the baby said a few time the movie didn't sit well with her and she wanted to leave (she didn't ) so ut definitely made her uncomfortable but the people she was there with disagreed overall To each their own I personally wouldn't bring a baby and or child but the baby wasn't fazed I grew up with a lot of old horror and classics my brain fully accepts and processes it's not real even tho Damien makes everything looks soo incredibly real
1. I had a very similar situation with the crowd of Longlegs where a large portion of the crowd was straight up 12-14 year olds who were not with adults and it was SO annoying. I’m all for kids going to horror films. It’s a right of passage to sneak into a film that you’re not supposed to be in. But have some etiquette!!! 2. I personally think that children should not be off limits to die in film. Have you PLAYED with kids? They love being chased. They love screaming. Children should absolutely be utilized more in horror films, especially since they seem to full on LOVE the genre so much. Me? As a kid? Loved chucky. Loved zombie films. I would’ve loved to have been in a zombie film as a kid. Plus, the faster a kid dies in a movie, the less they have to work. I personally think it’s more ethical to have a kid in a movie less than it is to have a kid in an entire movie.
Ooooh i was thinking of that too and yes that scene was the reason i didnt have the book in my room when i went to sleep and after reading it directly gifted it away
this movie had its scares, but nothing scared me more than the man who sat a seat away from us. creepy as hell and wouldn’t stop staring at us the entire time

Art cracks me up! 😂 I wasn’t sure how I felt about these movies at first and was on the fence about whether I wanted to sit down and watch them but once I saw a bit more of David Howard Thornton’s performance I was instantly delighted and drawn in. His interpretation of this character is what endears people to this franchise 100%. I don’t think these movies would be half as popular or successful if he wasn’t at the center of them playing such a scary yet lovable character. It’s such a delicate balance to strike and he nails it!

I wish you got into some of the funny moments and interactions Art had with his various victims, those were big highlights for me. Art acting like Buddy from Elf when he finds Santa at the bar or him eavesdropping on Cole and Mia and reacting to her statements were the funniest moments in the whole franchise.
Omg yes and him hitting Sienna upside the head like 3 times for no real reason 🤣
@@PossessedbyHorrorhe was salty
@@PossessedbyHorror the petty head slaps had me rolling
Agree there's some great comedy in this. the scene where Art's headless corpse gets on a subway and puts the cop's head on, or the part where he listens to security when they kick him out of the Santa area

I was disturbed that people brought their small kids to this film.
Same
More disturbed than the actual movie itself. We know what we’re signing up for seeing any Terrifier film, bringing a kid that doesn’t need to see/know about this stuff? Like c’mon
How in the world kids are even allowed in a movie rated 18A to begin with, even with a parent, is ridiculous. Ratings don't mean anything anymore.
Same here. Except the movie theaters refused to allow the Terrifier films to be rated as NC-17 is why they’re NR.
Crowds can make or break a viewing experience. That's why I go to matinee showings 😂 I like feeling like a VIP when I'm the only one in the theater.

It feels like recent movie goers were raised by wolves. ZERO etiquette 😳
Once we had tight jeans on guys with man buns, it's all going downhill
That was an awesome horror moment and set the mood for that awesome movie.
also pet semetary with gage the literal toddler getting obliterated by the truck, idk why people make such a huge deal of things just because it's a Terrifier film
Honestly it was so appalling for me to see him just chomp his arm off that scene scared me more than the OG IT film
I will never watch these films as I know they're beyond my limit but I still enjoy listening to the reviews!
Same!!
I'm a horror fan, but don't wanna see these. All seems pointless
I wonder if anybody has made cuts of them where the worst bits are taken out or like blurred or something
The ending sequence is incredible
I think the props were very obvious because they were going for an 80s look, and it seemed pretty inspired by the 80s slasher 'Pieces' where a girl gets sawed in the shower. They could've gone with realistic effects like they did in Terrifier 1 but they didn't and I guess it also helps get more people to watch it.
Excellent point (about the dummies in the shower scene). That does take away from it a bit, for sure.
The bomb scene caught me off guard like when Art pulls out a gun and shoots Tara in the first film. 🤯
Given that Art throws Sienna--who is dressed as a warrior angel--through a literal portal to Hell in the second movie, I'm not sure how you missed the religious elements before. They were pretty heavy-handed.
Yeah I mean the gates of heaven are on the cover of the dvd for the 2nd film, and the character siennas dad drew had a demon head in her hand lol
Yeah, the crowd I was in laughed and gasped at the right moments.
The scene I found most disturbing is Vicki and what she did with the shard of glass at the beginning when art killed that demolition guy.

Art will visit them on Halloween & they'll reject him any candy😱🍬

There was a family with their 2 kids. They walked out within the next 30 minutes. Do people not know what these types of movies are about?
It’s a great time to be alive and seeing Art the Clown become a horror icon 🤡🪓

Jonathan isn't dead, no way for an off screen death
I think it was the dad since we didn’t see him die but we know that’s how Art was able to find where Sienna was
@@daytonsouthall1137 I said the same thing like wow I can’t believe they didn’t show Jonathan getting killed because I would’ve thought that that would have been a major scene but after reading your comment that makes sense that maybe he’s not dead never really would’ve thought that was the dad but I guess anything is possible in this movie

THE RATS WAS THE WORSE ONE TO ME. i would rather watch the bathroom scene 1000 times to forget the rat scene
I got up while watching a movie and had someone kicked out who was talking the ENTIRE half of the movie and literally had people clap lol.
i loved the true crime commentary on here tbh, sienna’s comment to mia gagged a lot of true crime girlies !!
They've made Art sadistic, funny, and unpredictable... It's pretty hilarious for a horror icon.
I seriously cannot with the lack of social etiquette in theatres, even in matinee viewings these days.
The fact that this movie has more children deaths than adults was funny to think about but so twisted. I love how they just keep upping the scales
That's insane to me
i love your background set up rn
Jacob Tremblay is a phenomenonal actor.
I haven't finished this movie because that scene disturbed me so much. Idk it just shook me, it felt so realistic 😢
Yep. 100% agreed.
I'm a huge lifelong horror fan but I would NEVER bring a child to a film like this.
Yes because you know what's best for everyone else lol
(Not a theory, confimed by Leone.)
Nothing "religious" or "demonic" was added to the franchise in 3, just given more explanation lol.
Those glasses he wears are iconic. They killed it with the advertising.
I can’t imagine why there wasn’t a more well-behaved, respectful, mature audience at terrifier 3. (I’m also disappointed in parents bringing their kids, though. We’re raising sociopaths.)
I love that you brought up movie theater edict, people act actually insane in theaters now a days, I can barely go anymore

Sienna is such a fun character! An absolutely amazing final girl! One for the ages!
Yet pennywise ripped a kids arm off in IT 2017 and it was way more graphic than what they did in terrifier 3, so I think it’s ridiculous 🤷🏻♀️
Nah that not gory, that like game of throne gory type terrifier 3 is just disgusting! 😬
I agree so much with the last scene being so sad and disturbing, especially cause of Gabi finds her mom and starts calling her out ? I almost cried
Don’t want anyone having fun but themselves 😣😢😠
fully agree.. it's the fact that they paid $10+ for a ticket to just talk through the whole thing...
The number of kids in the theater also took away from my experience. The family next to me had like 5 kids and the youngest looked around 5. 🙄
But I don't think any of the kills top the bedroom scene. That one just felt extra cruel.
The reason these movies blew up is more about Art as a character versus the kills.
I think it’s a 50/50 but won’t be moving forward. I think you’re right now.
The rat scene with the aunt was the fucking worst for me!! They were all pretty bad, but omg that one made me want to jump out my skin😭
The rat tube was definitely my jaw on the floor scene 🐀
Bro, Twitter is a mental institution. People are gonna call misogyny or those "triggering" terms over the silliest things.
I think people forget about some of them because Art tends to toy with the women more, at least in the first two. I'm not saying I agree with folk saying they're misogynist, but I can understand based on how the most drawn out, torturous deaths were women in the first two.
Looking forward to the third!
tell that to the 'just the tip' dude (from pt.2) after his dick's been cut off.
I think misogyny critic has its roots in All Hallows’ Eve mostly, when Art was clearly using misogynistic slurs on his female victim
@@klaudiabiela3234
That's true, I'm a woman and I can clearly understand where the misogyny aspect comed from.
Art is way more brutal and toys around with his female victims more. I think if he just killed them like he kills men, it would be less criticized.
Though I do not think Terrifier is a misogynistic franchise... And I love Art.
It’s ‘Gabby’ not ‘Jenny’ ☺️
But the scene that made MY jaw drop was when Victoria is pleasuring herself with that shard of glass while Art is ripping the flesh off the demolition guy 😲🫢😳
I avoid going to cinema in peak times as much as possible because of that, but you can't avoid it completely.
I feel like Art gets a lot of his ideas for kills from medieval torture lol
the actor who play art said himself he was about to puk in one of the scenes
oh ya DHT said the smell and look of the vomit in the Aunt Jess scene almost made him throw up
This one was bloodier than Terrifier 2.
I thought David Howard Thornton was much better as Art than in the previous films.
His comic timing was better. His facial expressions were more dramatic like a mime. Even his body language seemed more mature/professional.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll gladly say it again, but you are by far my most favorite movie reviewer/influencer .. I just love your style and your opinions. It’s fun to watch you grow as a person and as a horror fan alike
Georgie’s death in it is an example of a child dying also at the end of the day teenagers are kids too

Dont you know they have NO etiquette, and again where are their loser parents.
THANK YOU for mentioning the rat scene because that is the scene that REALLY got me 😢
The rat thing just flashed me back to the American Psycho book… that rat scene to this day still makes me feel sick.
Exactly! I was telling my friend, the Director got that idea from a book i read decades ago.
And he was confused as to which book.
Ooooh i was thinking of that too and yes that scene was the reason i didnt have the book in my room when i went to sleep and after reading it directly gifted it away
I thought he got the rat scene from ancient Times where that was an actual form of torture long ago
I guess we won't tell you about pork fried rice and general tso's chicken
2 Fast 2 Furious
this movie had its scares, but nothing scared me more than the man who sat a seat away from us. creepy as hell and wouldn’t stop staring at us the entire time
All Hallows Eve explains some Art lore as well and what other stories they could moving forward
I love seeing your growth in appreciating and understanding different kinds of horror! My limits and boundaries have also changed greatly after seeing hundreds of horror films. I enjoyed terrifier 3 so much more than I thought I would! Thats coming from someone who loathed the second one lol
The acting was SO good! Sienna's characterization was genuinely amazing. Icon in the making.
