I made this blanket in brown, buff, tan and aran. It came out nice. I really loved making it. I did 130 change with a shell boarder. It took me about 11 days to make.
I used 4 skeins of each color and the blanket is nice and big. My husband is tall. I used dark rich colors in between the white and it is gorgeous. I've alredy used this pattern 3 times
I really like this pattern! I have tweaked it a little bit instead of chaining 2 I chain 1 and do a single crochet in the first stitch and then complete the row. It was too hard for me to see the last single crochet at the end of the rows. Thank you so much! I am making this for my mother -in-law.
Very pretty ! I’m going to make my daughter a baby blanket using this crochet stitch . her baby is due in June. And my youngest daughter is due in September 🥰 so if it works up well I may make her one in this stitch too happy crocheting 🧶 Sue 💕
Hi thank you for sharing your beautiful work, Love it, I'm working on your. Modern patchwork throw at the moment, can this blanket be done in Aran weight, thanks again best wishes. From Ireland 🍀🍀🍀
I have the perfect yarn for this - but not quite the yardage...what is the stitch multiple so I can adjust to make it just a wee bit smaller? ♥️💐 It’s a BEAUTIFUL blanket BTW!!
A very nice blanket and a great guide... Could you please tell me with digits how much wool I need for the ceiling? My English is not very good and I don't really understand what they're saying. I only translate with Google Translator
is there a chain pattern for this? like multiples of 3 + 1? i’m planning on making this with size 4 yarn and was wondering what the chain counts are. thank you
@doddleBob I’m using a 9MM I could only find it in bamboo & I’ve been following the pattern as best as I can & I honestly have no idea how many stitches I have honestly
@doddleBob not a problem I don’t mind at all! If you have any other social I can add you in case you have anymore questions & we can show other things we’ve worked on?
Made this one in four days! Absolutely love it. I gifted it to my aunt for her birthday.
Did you use the same yarn and if so how was it to work with? Thanks

It’s beautiful!
Could thus be done with dk yarn? I'd love to make one for my partners son, looks so cosy and warm 😍
I’m curious if the last row will stand out because the first row is different. Should I start with the modified stitch?
Hi, I used this pattern for a baby blanket using #4 weight.
Muito lindo!!!...eu vou fazer, estou no Brasil.
I have the perfect yarn for this - but not quite the yardage...what is the stitch multiple so I can adjust to make it just a wee bit smaller? ♥️💐
It’s a BEAUTIFUL blanket BTW!!
Cindy Cover video tells you this when making the swatch. It’s multiples of 2 plus 1.
On your row 1, aren’t you inserting your hook into the previous stitch? Not going to the next stitch?
I thought it was just me when I was watching this. Bummer that she won't clarify. I wanted to try this, but I don't want a wonky blanket.
No same stitch. When you finish the chain, you start into the the chains that’s next of the one you just did.
Yeah sometimes this can confuse people especially those who are knew to crocheting.
Obrigada por compartilhar amei essa manta!👏👏👏😍😍😍
I'm definitely going to try this, l have RA so not to sure how far I'll get but great for my ego
Bravissima!

Im a new at crochet only my second blanket and i am excited to get started. U said u used multiples of 2 + 1 and 160 chain. Is 207 chains right?
Thank you.
A very nice blanket and a great guide... Could you please tell me with digits how much wool I need for the ceiling? My English is not very good and I don't really understand what they're saying. I only translate with Google Translator
Hey so do I have to use bulky yarn or will medium be fine? New to this trying to make a blanket for my finance and then make one for his daughter.
Thanks for sharing
is there a chain pattern for this? like multiples of 3 + 1? i’m planning on making this with size 4 yarn and was wondering what the chain counts are. thank you
Multiples of 2+1 at the beginning
How many rows you need for this blanket
How many balls of chunky yarn for each of your colors what's the yardage of each color thank you
3 balls per color, and one ball for the white stripe.
I must have missed where you mentioned how much yarn it takes to do this. It looks like a lot. Anybody know?
Love it😍😍😍😍 Can't wait to make it!!!! Also what hook are you using?? I like longer hooks like that
Read the description for links :)
This is very nice but I don't understand how you do that and still have the same number of stitches. Aren't you decreasing?
Yes I agree the after the 6 rows the texture the width gets narrower what should I do
No. Be careful at the end of each row. You can’t make the last stitch in the last cluster you just did.
I'm currently making this and at the 5:47 mark in the video where I should only have 1 stitch left I have two? what am I doing wrong?
You are probably not skipping one of the chains.
How many skeins of yarn did it take to make this size?
Find all the details and pattern on my blog www.mjsoffthehookdesigns.com/calming-stripes-crochet-blanket/
I think I ordered the wrong yarn:( will the brava sport weight still work for this blanket? Thanks for your help!
For the same gauge double it up. If you use a single strand you'll need to double your starting chain and work more rows.
@@mjsoffthehook thank you!
What yarn number?
A little confused about the first 6 rows of MC... Is it the first 3 rows + another 3 rows of row 3? Or is it the first 2 rows + 6 rows of row 3?
Another 3. The row number 1 and 2 are different but they count as a row.
I came from a Tik Tok of a girl making 5 of these blankets for brides maids & I soooo wanna do this! I need to go to Hobby Lobby!!!!
😄😄 same !!
@doddleBob I’m using yarn from my local Walmart & it works perfectly.
@doddleBob I’m using a 9MM I could only find it in bamboo & I’ve been following the pattern as best as I can & I honestly have no idea how many stitches I have honestly
@doddleBob yes! I don’t think I ever counted the chains I just went for it Lol
@doddleBob not a problem I don’t mind at all! If you have any other social I can add you in case you have anymore questions & we can show other things we’ve worked on?
Is that a bulky 5 or a 6 please ??
Neana Saint #5
Where can I get that yarn
in the bio under this video press the first link then scroll down. :)
ces quoi la grosseur du fil
Can you give us the multiples please
little Bo Peep video tells you this when making the swatch. It’s multiples of 2 plus 1.
If you make 100 chains then add 1 one for a total of 101. If you want the blanket be 120 chains wide then do 120 plus one for a total of 121 chains.
