Quality figures like this is why gunpla continues to dwindle in interest for Bandai. Bandai has tapped into a lot of major IP's for model kits and they are seeing the benefits because these attract more consumers of these IP's. Hate to say it but they can sell a lot more of Nezuko and other anime girl model kits then they can gunpla
Bad buy for the price. For around 4k yen you could get many better looking Nezuko figures, since DS merch is so oversaturated in Japan it regularly gets discounts... But if this were discounted to like half off, it could be worthwhile for some people.
Simply put, not many of her kits were made. And she hasn't had a reprint since her release. The tanjiro and rengoku ones kept getting reprints. But Nezuko just never gets one. She's finally getting a reprint sometime between this month and july. But honestly, it's not worth getting. You are better off getting one of the many Bandai Nezuko figures. Or some of the other official figures of other brands. With that same money. This kit is mostly entry grade level, but waaay overpriced.
@@kydigadig Honestly I don't mind lower quality, I tend to either enjoy very high quality, or mid-quality, so I can see what processes and painting I can do to make it look high quality. But the supply issue makes sense, it sucks they don't make more of kits like these, especially when they're popular characters like Nezuko.
As the other person pointed out. Also, Waifu tax. And by that I mean, the majority of money an anime makes is in selling merch. And the majority of that comes from selling Waifu figures. So they raise the price on them. Knowing people will be willing to pay.
